Beautiful Big 286ft² Master w/Bath

House - Private room · 27th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122, United States

The Space

The Master Bedroom is available in a single family home. The home is located in the beautiful, quieter Sunset neighborhood. Public transportation is easily accessible via the N-Judah, 71 Haight-Noriega, 28 19th Ave, 29 Sunset Ave and several other lines. The neighborhood is easily accessible via the 280 Freeway and minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge.

The neighborhood is quiet and parking is easily accessible on the street. The furthest I ever park is a minute or two walk. Parking in the driveway may also be arranged so please ask.

The room is good size. It features a very comfortable queen size mattress in a sleigh bed. There is also a tan microfiber couch for lounging, a coffee table, a 42’ HDTV, dresser, desk with a Harmon Kardon boombox with a slot for your iPhone/iPod, a smaller 26” HDTV that can be used as a dual monitor for your laptop. The bathroom is private and attached to the room. There is closet space which you can use. Our garage is only used for storage so if you have a surfboard or bike that can be stored there for your convenience.

Nearby attractions are Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, The San Francisco Zoo, California Academy of Sciences, De Young Museum, SFSU, UCSF, USF and just about everything in San Francisco. The Financial District and the Ferry Building are only 5 miles away.

The room can easily sleep up to 3 people. It has all the amenities of a house plus the convenience of a studio.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Nice location near Golden Gate Park in quiet, safe neighborhood. We stayed here with our 2 daughters (10 & 12 yr old), and there was enough room for all 4 of us. Jay was friendly and helpful, although we didn't see him much. The dog Charlie was cute and no problem. There are 4 people who live in the house who we never saw, but were clearly sharing the kitchen with us. Our stay was pleasant and we would return.

  • We needed a place to rest for the eveningband Jay came to the rescue! Lightning fast response time, and very accommodating. Everyone was comfortable, and Charlie is a cool dog. Thanks Jay, we will be back!

  • Jay's place was great. The house is nice and inviting. The room was huge with all the amenities. Our family will definitely visit again. A huge plus was that it was dog friendly and we didn't have to leave our dog at home. there was even room out back if our dog had to go out. A nice touch was the chalkboard that listed Jay's cell number, wifi names and passwords. that is a great way to communicate!! Thanks, Jay. We had a great time. Thank you!

  • My 13 year old and I stayed with Jay while visiting family in the Bay area. It is in an easy location to access the MUNI to anywhere in the city, Golden Gate Park, and Ocean Beach. The room was big enough to accommodate my son and me comfortably. Jay was an excellent host, despite us meeting him only once upon arrival.

  • My stay at Jays home was an exceptional experience.
Because the room is downstairs, separate yet connected to the main house, it is very quite and private. It is equal to staying in a kind of suite, as it is quite large and includes a nice couch where one could just chill, watch a movie, work on computer or read.
Jay made sure I had everything I needed and that I felt comfortable. He takes pride--it is apparent and appreciated.
    Nice guy!

  • As a frequent attendee of conferences in the Bay Area, this location will definitely be my first choice when I come back!
Jay was wonderfully helpful with travel directions and he had some great recommendations for places to eat in the neighborhood.
The room is actually much larger than can be conveyed in a photo. It has a large TV and fast wifi connections. Most importantly the bed allowed me my first full nights sleep on the entire trip!
    Highly recommended!

  • My son, his girlfriend & I went to San Francisco to tour University of San Francisco. They are both seniors so college applications are just around the corner!

    October 2013
  • Jay is a very attentive and pleasant host. The room is nice and includes everything you need. The house is not far away from the ocean beach (walking time 15-20min) and golden gate park. I enjoyed my stay. It was a perfect jumping-off point for dicovering the city.

  • Nice cosy basement room. I slept on the couch and it was really comfortable. The 2 friends I travelled with found the room somewhat stuffy (I was ok with it). Also, the toilet couldn't flush properly but Jay was really helpful and could immediately help us resolve the issue. Overall a pleasant stay.

    Response from Jay:

Thanks for the feedback Magdalene. To clarify, the room is in the first floor not the basement. I apologize that your friends felt the room was stuffy, nest time feel free to open the windows to let some fresh air in (: Safe travels!

  • Wonderful big room, close to public transport (Golden Gate Bus 28 & City Center Metro N). The dog was really cute and absolutely no problem, even for people who are afraid of dogs. We loved him. Jay was really nice and gave us all the information/stuff we needed. Parking was absolutely no problem, there is always a spot close to the house. The neighbourhood is very safe.

Hi There! My name is Jay and I've been living in San Francisco for 7 years. I love the Sunset because you can avoid the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle, yet you can be there in a few short minutes if that’s what you’re looking for at the moment. It’s also great to live by Golden Gate Park and the Ocean. I keep a very clean and well appointed home. I'm the kind of Host that will swing by at 9am to bring you a fresh pound of coffee if you need it. When I'm not playing Host, I work in Media Sales, near the Financial District. I tend to keep busy but love to find time to slow down, read a book, or just listen to music. I love travelling, and look forward to visiting India someday... Also, and this is the most important part! I do have the most adorable Maltese/Bishon Frese mix puppy. He is very affectionate, playful and doesn't bark! His name is Charlie and Charlie is Hypoallergenic. If this is your first time, or millionth time, visiting San Francisco you can't find a better place to stay. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I look forward to hosting you on your travels. Best, Jay
