We enjoyed our weekend at Barbara's home. It is a small rustic home away from the noise of the big city. The home is older and shows it's age but is still clean and well maintained. The balcony provides a lovely view and relaxing spot to have a drink or read a book. It is close to lot's of local spots and attractions. We had a small issue with lady bugs (who knew such a nice little bug could invade a home!) but Barbara reached out in advance to warn us about this. We slept both couples in the shared bedroom as a result. Overall a great stay! Thanks Barbara!
We had a great time hosting family and friends at Barbara's cabin over Thanksgiving. We stayed 3 very comfortable nights and had a wonderful sunny weather. Her place is very central to both Tomales Bay beaches, Pt. Reyes Station, and all the great trails and beaches of Pt. Reyes Natl. Seashore (one of our favorite Calif. locales). The cabin is charming. There's a deck with seating (even under shelter) that faces the woods, a charcoal bbq, and we had sun the entire time! Next time we'll bring hats! The bay view is out the front windows. There's even a woodstove and games to play are everywhere. The kitchen was fully equipped, we brought extra utensils we didn't even need. The nearby town of Pt. Reyes Station has everything you could need, and a smaller store is even closer in Inverness. Though we didn't meet Barbara, she was a very communicative host and answered every question promptly. Her directions were perfect. This visit was all about hosting a gathering of a once in a lifetime combination of friends and family and going hiking. But we will someday return to see more of the Seashore and hope to visit Barbara's cozy cabin once again. I highly recommend it for a quiet, comfortable retreat to an absolutely beautiful coast.
We had a really great time at Barbara's cozy cabin. The location overlooking Tomales Bay is really secluded and pleasant, and the architecture of the cabin is simple yet elegant. All in all, an excellent getaway!
We had a lovely time in Barbara's snug house on a small quiet street in Inverness. It was equipped with all we needed. We spent a cozy time next to her fireplace and had glorious hikes. It is not fancy, but comfortable and we enjoyed ourself immensely.
Barbara was a kind host and the cabin is really great. Her instructions were clear and precise, and the house treated us well. The quiet deck looks out on a beautiful wooded hill-scape, hawks soaring by. We felt like we had everything we needed right there. The location is great, central Inverness, easy to get to stores and scenery. Highly recommended.
Trying to retire, love California. Grew up in Northern California. I spent many summers in West Marin, enjoying the sun, sand, and fog. I even learned to swim and sail in the cold waters of Tomales. This house has a special place in my heart. Treat it like your own.
