This is a private room in a family home located on five wooded acres. Located just outside of Olympia, this is an ideal location at the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula and the Washington Coast. A great place to stay if you are visiting The Evergreen State College, or a quiet retreat for those visiting Olympia.
The room is furnished with treasured antique furniture I recently restored. The iron bed has a feather bed and lofty comforter to make for a cozy rest. Wi-fi and a large private bath will make your visit even more comfortable.
Our driveway is a bit steep, but don't worry, we will send you some navigation tips in the House Rules after you make a reservation.
I have lived in the area for a number of years and can recommend parks, hikes, restaurants and other local areas of interest.
There will be a light breakfast ready for you with fresh fruit, whole grain bread, and trimmings.
No smoking please. The closet is not for guest use. :)
This was my first time using Airbnb and I was so fortunate my experience began with Marianne. I had desired a comfortable, quiet, cozy and friendly place and recieved it all plus more. Marianne was very welcoming and responsive to any questions or needs I had as well as allowing for as much personal space as I desired. The accommodations were what I expected and as seen in her listing. I loved the privacy of her residence, its cleanliness and it being nestled in nature. I would definitely return. Staying in her home enabled the comfort of being in a home and the solitude I needed. Thank You, Marianne!
I had a lovely stay! The place was clean, comfortable and well decorated. Loved that the house was surrounded by trees. I felt safe. Marianne was a welcoming host. She kept coffee and toast and spreads for the morning which was really nice and much appreciated.
Marianne greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. She offered us coffee and tea for the morning and made us feel very at home here.
The room was cute and cozy and was accurate with the pictures shown on her Airbnb site. The bed was soooo comfy! I really enjoyed the privacy of the room and adjacent bathroom where we stayed in the house....its tucked away with a beautiful view of the foresty trees outside.
Thank you Marianne!
A beautiful home in a lovely wooded area just outside of Olympia. It feels very secluded though it's really only about 15 minutes away from the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice as well. As a host Marianne was extremely kind and accommodating. There were two big dogs on the property, which I loved. They were very friendly and reasonably well behaved. The younger one was a bit rambunctious but Marianne did a good job of keeping them under control. I'm sure if a guest preferred not to interact with them at all she could manage that. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. My one regret is that we weren't able to stay longer.
Marianne is as nice and sweet as they come! She welcomed me in to her home as if I lived there and treated me like family! She is so kind and sweet, and it was truly a pleasure meeting her and staying in her quiet home. It is a truly homey experience, and I often felt as if I were home at my own mother's house.
The room is exactly as the pictures look. It is very quiet and peaceful, tucked away in nature. It is also very private. She has two very sweet dogs that were very difficult to leave! They were also very welcoming and ready to give you love!
I would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend Marianne's home to anyone passing through the area!
We have spent one night at Marianne's and we have felt very welcome. The bedroom and bathroom are comfortable and you have everything you need. The house is very quiet. We had a lovely meal at a restaurant recommended by our host and we found the town of Olympia quite lovely.

We stayed with Marianne for two nights in her clean and lovely home. She was very welcoming and the room and bathroom were both very comfortable. She thoughtfully put out coffee and toast in the mornings.
I enjoy living in the Pacific NW and I have a lovely home that I would like to share with visitors. I am a public health nurse and have lived in the Olympia area for 25 years.
