About this listing
Located on Church Street between Noe Valley and the Mission and just around the corner from 24th Street, this renovated Edwardian condo has great views, a great location, and makes a great home away from home!
Our two bedroom, one bath home was originally built in 1908 and fully renovated a few years ago. It has fantastic views of downtown San Francisco, Potrero Hill, Berkeley and the bay.
The living room, dining room and kitchen are on a generous open-floor plan that opens onto a sunny terrace with amazing views. The terrace is a perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, overlooking gardens, the bay, many hills and neighborhoods... and even the Transamerica building.
With a 98 walkability score, pretty much everything is nearby. There are dozens of restaurants, boutiques, bars and parks at hand. The J-Church MUNI line is less than 2 minutes' walk away, and BART (24th Street station) is 5 minutes' walk.
There are hardwood floors throughout the home and modern appliances including high-speed wifi. There is plenty of street parking if you have a car. One bedroom has a queen bed and one bedroom has a full-size sofa bed. The dining room can accommodate supper for six, and the kitchen has a bar table and stools for a more casual meal for four.
We have lived in San Francisco for ages (one of us is a SF native) and, though we've lived and traveled around the world -- 87 countries and counting -- we love this city more than anywhere else. We have many recommendations for things to do, lesser-known places to visit and other fun SF secrets which we would be delighted to share with you.
Your home in the heart of Noe Valley and the best of San Francisco at your doorstep -- welcome!
There is so much to love about Noe Valley! It's one of the sunniest neighborhoods in all of SF. Mission Dolores Park is 3 blocks away. More than a dozen fabulous restaurants and cafés are within easy walking distance, and the same goes for boutiques and fun shops (24th Street area is 1/2 block away). Plus, we're also close to the Mission so it's easy access to everything -- from tree-lined streets to hipster heaven. Welcome!
Public transit is almost embarrassingly good. MUNI (above-ground tram; J-line) is 1/2 block away, which will take you all the way downtown. BART (subway; 24th Street stop) is a 5 minute walk away, which will take you to the airport, downtown or the East Bay. In a word: supereasy.
The Golden Rule: please treat our home as you would treat your own. A lot of love and effort went into creating the space and environment, and we cherish it. We're happy to share it with you and would expect you to respect it in return. Thank you!
This was an incredibly wonderful experience. I believe we were April and Jerry's first long-term renters--we had four people stay for 4 months over the summer.
April and Jerry were an absolute dream from our first contact. They were helpful, quick to respond, and willing to assist with any issues we had. They gave suggestions for places to try in the neighborhood, and even left a bar menu! The house was clean and inviting, and it looks exactly like the pictures. Their book collection is incredible and we found ourselves getting lost in it at times. The balcony is lovely, and has a wonderful view of downtown and the Mission. It was nice to have drinks and overlook the city at night.
The neighborhood (Noe Valley) is the best place to stay in San Francisco. It's away from all the craziness of the Marina district, totally safe and beautiful. It's a great place for families as well as young people, and we always felt safe walking around at night. The Mission is just a few blocks away with a cool mix of hip new restaurants/bars and countless amazing taquerias. Dolores park is just up the street, and is an awesome place to hang out and get a taste of the people and culture of San Francisco.
The public transportation is amazing, with a major Muni Metro stop directly across the street, and buses that run up and down 24th. It's incredibly convenient to go downtown. On top of that, many of the tech bus stops are close to this home which was also convenient for us.
Overall, we could not have asked for a better rental experience in San Francisco. If you're looking for a place to stay in San Francisco, I would 100% recommend this home, you will not be disappointed. :)
Delightful home and hosts! My two college friends and I enjoyed a fun reunion weekend here. All the comforts of home, spectacular view, nice neighbors, and a very interesting library to peruse—our reading lists lengthened by quite a bit!
The apartment was very clean, comfortable and conveniently located. We enjoyed seeing sunrise from the living room every morning. The neighborhood was lovely, safe and quiet. Lots of nice restaurants coffee shops and Whole Foods were just few blocks away. And it was easy to find a parking place on the street nearby.
April was a very friendly host. She was very easy to communicate. She always responded to me very quickly.
We will definitely stay this lovely house again if we have another chance to come to San Francisco.
My experience felt like I was in a friends home who was letting me stay the weekend. My daughter and her boyfriend stayed with me the entire 3 nights. We cooked, played games, hung out in the neighborhood, and enjoyed it as if we lived there. April and Jerry communicated with us in advance regarding our needs and questions and pretty much everything they said was true. We cooked in their wonderful kitchen which opened to the living room and made a wonderful cioppino that we shared with friends. We overcame a minor obstacle which was the only TV was an AppleTV and we had a challenge making it play regular TV. That said, we figured it out. Instructions for doing that would have helped had we not had a techno wizard with us. The beds were very comfy, the view from the kitchen, living room and back deck out to the city was spectacular, and the bathroom was great. It was my first Airbnb experience and it was A+
The entire experience was great. The apartment is located right next to all of the shops and restaurants of 24th Street, and right next to the J-Line. It has wonderful views of the city, and is well decorated and maintained. April and Jerry were extremely helpful and communicative throughout the whole process, and made it a very simple and easy process. Thank you again for letting us use your home!
April is a lovely host and my family had a great time staying in her Noe Valley home this December. The property is clean and welcoming. Dresser drawers: (website hidden): stocked, cocktail recipes included. View from the back deck: beautiful. This house is in a great location right along the J train line which makes it easy to get downtown. Thanks for a great trip.
The hosts were extremely welcoming, both in advance of the visit and upon arrival. The home was clean, well equipped, cozy, and stylish.
Nice view of the city, too.
I used to live in this neighborhood and it is as awesome as I remember. This is a fantastic location - walking distance to coffee shops, boutiques, groceries and parks. As close as it gets to MUNI, as well, which I was worried about but the sound was only audible in front bedroom, and barely at that (and I am quite a light sleeper).
