  • Great location, and cozy and quiet place. Phyllis was a great hostess, providing everything we could've asked for. Our stay was nothing short of relaxing, and much much better than a stay at a hotel could've been. Thank you!

  • The place is simple but was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in a super convenient location. Close to the beach, could walk to several restaurants/shopping centers, etc., and easy to drive to all the great stuff to see in Kauai. Thanks Phyllis!

  • We had a great time at Surf Song! This wonderful place comes equipped with a BBQ for your own Hawaiian BBQ dinners. Upon arrival we were greeted to some fresh local Hawaiian fruit. I must say that the banana's are the best fresh from local farmers. We were also given a gift certificate for a local restaurant.

I think that the beauty of this place is that it's clean, quiet and best of all it's 10 seconds from baby beach.

  • Loved the Seashell room! It was simple, but absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. Basically, we wanted somewhere to hang our hat at night, but would be out hiking, beach, enjoying everything about the surroundings during the days. Location was perfect- really beautiful neighborhood across from the beach. Again, room was simple, but clean and came with great local coffee and fruit every morning.

    Thanks again, Phyllis!!

  • I had everything I needed in this clean and cute room. I was staying here in lieu of being trapped at a really pricey resort (that was conveniently close) for a dear friends wedding. I was able to have breakfast and coffee on the lanai while getting a glimpse of the ocean and then take a lovely hike before being pulled into all the wedding activities.

Great location, close to so much - cute little place. Must come back and get the full experience!

    Thank you Phyllis and John.

  • This is a very charming and romantic room in a good location. Not beachfront but with a view of the water from the balcony. The beach is behind million dollar homes across the street and it is just a short walk to beach access down the street. We happened to arrive when the cleaning person was there and she was very friendly and helpful. The 4 unit complex has a washer/dryer available (good given the dampness of the air) and an extra fridge to store things beyond the small one in the unit. There is good snorkeling in the nearby beaches and a useful info sheet on this in the utility building. The gas grill was also useful for some cooking and having a meal on the balcony. There is no AC but there are louvered windows all around and a ceiling fan plus two others. There is a phone for in-state calls. The owner's phone number is on an information sheet and she can be called if needed. Wireless internet works fine. The TV is small but is attached to a satellite dish. This unit is very good value, esp. for the location on the south side of the island.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Surfsong. The Seashell room had everything we needed and we very much enjoyed having breakfast on the lanai surrounded by tropical plants, and watching the Hawaii birds with the small view of the surf. I also appreciated the surprise glimpse of the beach every time I entered the bathroom! We watched the sunset on Baby Beach every evening, and went snorkeling several times at Lawai Beach, a very easy 5-minute walk from Surfsong. Will definitely stay there again on return trips to Kauai!

  • The Seashell room is very nice, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a hot several days during our stay, so the extra fans in the room helped to cool things off. Having a grill and access to a dryer helped us in the evening after long days of snorkeling. The shower downstairs was also a plus, as was the very nice bathroom towels.

  • Phyllis' place on Kaua'i was beautiful, we arrived late in the evening and could hear the waves crashing on the beach. The spacious room was beautifully appointed with kitchen items, the bed extremely comfortable, and the ambience just what we were looking for. Poip'u Beach was close, and a park close by offered papayas and pineapples for our breakfast to which we were told to help ourselves! I would definitely return for another visit, hoping sooner than later.
