We arrived to Jacqueline little corner at 7pm at night after driving for 6 hours.
Such warm hospitality and welcoming environment that is both clean and fun, this was impressive to anyone.
We came to Montreal to meet a family member that was staying in the Hyatt Regency (and if you ask me, Jacqueline's room is 100 times better than that) and had no idea how to make the drive or if we should use public transportation.
Jacqueline took the time and effort to draw a map with written explanations on where are the tourists hot spots and how to use the public transportation.
Jacqueline also prepared a basket of goodies and it was very apparent that she took a lot of effort in making the rooms clean and presentable.
This is our first time using AirBNB, we were not sure about how private the experience of this will be and during our stay at Jacqueline's home we had a home away from home that was also very private.
I can recommend this to anyone who is traveling to Montreal and would go as far as saying that if you have a plan of staying over the hotels in downtown Montreal, scratch that plan and get a rental car and stay over here, it will be more economic, less noisy, more relaxing, very home like and very welcoming.
It was a very brief stay (late flight arrival, early departure) but the place was perfect for what we needed (clean, tidy, quiet, fruit and home-made cookies ) and Jacqueline couldn't have been more helpful (navigation, drop off at bus stop). Highly recommended.
Jacqueline is polite and thoughtful and made my girlfriend and I feel right at home. Her home is simply lovely, it is cozy, comfortable, very clean and beautifully decorated. And it is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood near the water.
Our stay with Jacqueline was fantastic
Jaki's place is exactly as advertised - a quiet, clean retreat from the hustle and bustle of Montreal. The space has a cute, cozy charm to it and Jaki was a wonderful and gracious host with a knowledge of the transportation and entertainment of the area. There was a great selection of snacks and tea readily available upon arrival.
We stayed only 1 night but enjoyed very much the bedroom (spacious, clean and comfortable) as well as the kindness of Jacqueline, thanks!
My boyfriend and I stayed with Jacqueline during the thanksgiving long weekend. She was very friendly and helpful. The place is quite, warm, clean and very comfortable. We would like to come again!
I am a retired teacher who has travelled through Europe, USA and Canada using alternate accommodation successfully. Having renovated my childhood home in Dorval, I saw the potential to offer the same to travellers visiting the island of Montreal. I can offer guests tips on where to best view the city, places to eat and sights to see. Manoir Lakeshore Manor is located 300 metres from a public access to the lake, where one can see the ships passing along the St. Lawrence Seaway, and is on the scenic bicycle and walking routes that extend from the Port of Montreal to the west end of the island. I take great pleasure in extending a hearty welcome to everyone.
