Deborah was an extremely personable hostess who went above and beyond to make us comfortable during our stay. A Keurig for hot drinks + snacks was available at all times for our use. The bedroom + sitting room gave us privacy, with a beautiful view of the low country. The convenience to downtown was amazing -- less than 5 min and we were back on some of our favorite Charleston streets to wine and dine! Highly recommend this spot to stay at!! Another bonus was our 10 minute drive from her house to Folly Beach one morning for a run -- gorgeous!
This is my second stay at the McNally's - their house remains my favorite B&B in Charleston. They are dedicated hosts that watch over every detail while giving the guest privacy and independence. Debbie is a great cook, making sure you start the day well nourished. The breakfast is traditional - we had great fluffy pancakes the first morning, while on the second and last day of our stay, we had an omelette made with fresh organic eggs, laid by Debbie's chicken! The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and well provided - shampoo soaps, hair dryer, etc. We had a beautiful view on the marsh in a sunny room. Wifi service was fast.
I picked a great space. Deborah was very warm and welcoming, and she offered anything I needed and then some. Prime location as well, and the five minute drive across the ashley river memorial bridge into downtown Charleston was a sight to see at sunrise/sunset. Couldn't have asked for much more.
Happy to stay less than 10 minutes from historic Charleston, we found warm hospitality, a peaceful feeling of being in the country, good breakfasts and a friendly welcoming spirit in Debbie and Ron's home. This was our first Airbnb experience, and it gave my wife and me a very positive first impression. I appreciated very much the ability to use their sitting room as a place to read and reflect early in the morning. The Keurig coffeemaker being readily available was also a great addition. All in all, Debbie and Ron offer the space and the conversation to make this a real home away from home.
The house is located off of a main road, so turning into the driveway was tricky. However, this was the only issue as the noise from the road is not audible, and the house is very tidy and spacious, as is the room we stayed in. The bathroom was also very clean. Debbie and Ron were very friendly and were fantastic hosts, providing us with a great breakfast on both the days we stayed there.
My first time in Airnb! Excellent location for people with cars. Folly public beach and seafood, downtown historic Charleston and amazing suburban restuarants are all 10 minutes or less with no traffic. The hosts sleep upstairs and relax two rooms away so it feels private if you need that - very B&B like. If occupying both rooms the bath is private. Family of 3-4 on a budget can eat out on the difference from a hotel..Bath was clean and modern. Bed very comfortable. Great breakfast diversity and easy parking. A little road noise but that goes with convenient location.
I loved staying at Debbie's home. She was very welcoming and inviting. Having my own little area was a nice luxury I did not expect. Everything was as accurate as the description if not more. Being able to come and go as I please was great as I toured the lovely city of Charleston. Having a great breakfast every morning was amazing (btw Debbie is an amazing cook). I loved interacting with Debbie and being able to trade stories. As I would love to stay in Charleston in the future, I would definitely stay here again.
