We had a wonderful time at Deborah's place. We were made to feel at home right from the start. Our accommodations were very comfortable, well appointed and had a fantastic view of the marsh. The location is perfect for quick access to downtown in 8 minutes! Would definitely stay here again.
My friend and I stayed with Deborah for two nights while doing a whirlwind tour of Charleston. You cannot find a better location that is not right in the city. This home is just off the freeway and a quick 10 minutes to downtown. The house is on a very busy road, but the road noise was not a problem. Looking towards the back from the house, over the marsh, makes one think you are in the middle of the country.
We stayed in the area of the house that has one room with a queen bed and one room with a daybed and trundle. Both beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and we enjoyed being able to close a door between us. We had a private bath with an excellent shower.
Deborah made a delicious breakfast for us each morning, going way beyond just providing yogurt and fruit (which would have been plenty nice of her). Staying in this home is like visiting relatives and I much prefer it over the impersonal feel of a hotel. I would most definitely return if I ever have the pleasure of visiting Charleston again!
Deborah's home was very comfortable to stay in. We were in the bedroom with a sunroom next to it. We also had our own bathroom directly outside of our room that we did not have to share with anyone. It's a lovely view of the marshland behind her house. We had access to a small frig outside of our room where Deborah provided water bottles. She also left a few snacks for guests to help themselves to (granola bars, yogurt, etc.). She was very hospitable. We enjoyed talking with her a couple of times when our paths crossed and we found her delightful. This house is really only about a 10 minute drive into Charleston. Very convenient to go anywhere in the area. Next time we are in the "lowcountry", we hope to stay with Deborah again.
This low country home is the perfect get away. The host is more than willing to provide a wonderful stay. I'll be sure to stay here again if I am back in Charleston!
This place was perfect! I was visiting the city with my mother and staying at Deborah's made an already-great trip that much more pleasant. Very friendly people, clean and comfortable room, and perfectly located a 5-minute drive from downtown. Would definitely stay again.
