het appartement was erg mooi, een goed verbinding met central. vlakbij winkels en bars. metro op 100 meter, doe ook de boulevard van brooklyn geweldig Stefano is super.
Stefano's house was in a good neighbourhood, calm and safe. In 200 meters you could reach the subway on 4th Ave and cafes and markets on 5th Ave. The location in Brooklyn was a good 30 minutes of subway ride to Herald Sq (34&6th ave) with the R train. Stefano was kind enough to leave a loaf of bread, a bottle of mineral water and orange juicebut did not welcome us which was OK. The house was clean but the pictures are a little misguiding. The house is on street level and it is a historic old building. Stefano and his family lives upstairs and it is easily audible and sometimes loud when they walk upstairs which is uncomforting. The airbnb pictures show a nice garden but it was just a dried out yard. The front door opens to a small entrance and theveryfirst view when you open the door is a dirty storage area under the stairs with no door. We are a family of 3. I travelled with with my parents and when we reached the house there was a full size (definitely not a queen) bed and a single bed prepared for us to sleep. The bedroom does not have a door which may cause lack of privacy. The "so called bed" which was prepared for me was not even a bed. It was a 2 inch matress with no springs laid on wood. It was rock hard and the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The A/C did not function properly and it was cold outside. Whatever you do, it doesn't increase. The wi-fi password was not provided until I askedfor. The very last night of our stay Stefano visited us and asked if everything was OK. When I told him the issues, he said he was very busy and advised me to sleep on the pull out couch which I didn't pay for. Also, after saying the A/C problem, it suddenly began to work! I think the control is somewhere outside the house! I am sure that next time I am in NY, I can find a cheaper and a much more comfortable house.
The apartment was exactly as advertised. In fact, it was even more spacious than we expected. There was a tiny glitch in the written communication prior to arrival, which Stefano quickly apologized for. He welcomed us in person and asked how he could help us enjoy ourselves. We felt fully at home in the apartment and plan to stay there again next time we visit Brooklyn.
Fabulous neighborhood. The apt. Was clean convenient comfortable. Met all of our expectations. A pleasure.
We had a fantastic experience at Stefano's place. Great location, completely clean and exactly as described. Stefano met us when we checked in and with a fresh loaf of Italian bread and some oj in the fridge. He was very responsive to all our questions and logistics were super simple. Highly recommended. I just hope our 10 week old didn't keep anybody awake...
Stefano's apartment was absolutely perfect! It was beautiful, immaculate, and located in the heart of Park Slope. The decor was exactly our aesthetic, and the bed was so comfortable that we plan to purchase a similar one. It was an easy jog up to Prospect Park, and was near amazing coffee shops (ex.: Konditori) and restaurants (ex.: Al Di La). He was a gracious host and we are already talking about our visit in the summer to enjoy the garden, since our stay coincided with one of the snowiest winters Brooklyn has experienced. I cannot recommend Stefano or his apartment more highly.
The apartment was perfect , comfortable, clean , really well connected to Manhattan and other areas in Brooklin , it is exactly the same as the pictures show in this site The neighbourhood Park Slope is plenty of restaurants , winery , super and mini markets , everything you can need.
Stefano is a great host , he took many minutes to explain how it works everything in the apartment and zone nearby , he and his family are really kind people.
It was a really good experience for a couple and our boy.
