A room and a Roof over Haifa bay.

Apartment - Private room · Bar Giyora, Haifa, Israel

The Space

Right over Masada street, in a quite street on the 3rd and last floor, I have a big apartment with a rooftop with a view of all Haifa and north Israel. comfortable and quite, near the bahain shrine and the Haifa subway. A must see, if only for the view.
I offer a private room that has a window out to the view and you can go from the room to the roof garden. The room is average size, with a bed and a closet. you'll share with me the kitchen, the living room and the toilets.
I can host 2 people in that room max.
My neighberhood is very quite, Haifa is on a mountain so if you go one flight of stairs down from our street you get to a road that has buses everywhere. another flight of stairs you are in Masada st. which is very unique kinda of urban-hipster arab-jewish street, with cafes and gallerys and entrance to Haifa subway(The shortest in the world!). More down, and you are in the arab village of Wadi Nisnas, or Haifa downtown and the port area. You can reach us easily by subway. you take the train and get down at Haifa Merkaz(center), then you walk to the subway station in Paris square, take the subway to Bnei Zion, 5 min of beatiful walk with the view to the meditrenian and you are here.

  • We had a very relaxing time at the big and open flat of Omer. He is a very hospitable person and he took us to some of his favourite places in Haifa. The big sunny terrace mit view over the City and the sea including his new "gardenshower" is a very unique place. We really enjoyed our stay at Omer´s place.

  • Although I was in Haifa at the uran planning conference and had a lot of lectures about the Israeli urban planning it was mostly Omer who opened for me the city. His flat is situated in a slope of a hill and you have a view of Haifa bay even better than from the hotels on the Carmel's edge (I compared as my friends lived there). Omer is very friendly, he helped me a lot with logistics around the city, showed me the seashore and even a beautiful fish restaurant. I highly recommend him as a host.

I'm born and raised Haifain, love the city and the landscape, and the people and everything though I'm well aware of it's shortcomings, and there are many as you'll see when you come. For me, Haifa is the most interesting place in Israel to see, more so because it doesn't have any Religious or Zionist signification. Here it's where people live. I love watching clouds from my roof, and the city, especially during sleepy weekends when it's at most quite and tranquil. I'm an environment engineering student(soon finish!), I was a tour guide in the Israeli desert for 5 years, lived in Mitzpe Ramon and Eilat. I have quite a bit of knowledge about traveling and especially hiking in Israel. I'm a dive master, and I lived in China(Speak mandarin) for 2 years, Philippines and India and visited a lot of the countries in the far east and feel very much connected with that part of the world. Your at most welcome to visit my residence in one of the most beautiful yet untouristic part of Israel.
