This is an apartment in the Morningside Heights/West-Harlem area of Manhattan.
It has two bed rooms - sorry, no living room but the kitchen serves as a comfortable sitting area.
Each of the rooms has a full-size (a.k.a. "double") bed in it; in addition, there is an extra twin-size mattress for a fifth person to sleep on if such economy accommodation is desired.
The price you are given by Airbnb includes the cleaning fee.

128th Street & Convent Avenue - Sunny - Clean - Private
Apartment with two bedrooms available in Morningside Heights/West Harlem Area of Manhattan. Located between Columbia University and City College. Close to Harlem landmarks such as the Apollo Theater, The Cotton Club, The Harlem Studio Museum, Theaters, Bars, Soul Food and other a great variety of world restaurants. Walking distance to five parks, including Central Park. Harlem these days is a safe, vibrant, and ever-evolving community and a must-visit area of NYC for any vacationer.
The apartment is on the second floor (this means one flight of stairs up from street level in this country) and all windows have southern exposure for great light.
The A,B,C,D trains on 125th Street are a two-minute walk away. The A- and D-train are express trains: mid-town (Columbus Circle) is only a 7-minute ride away, the theater district around Broadway (42nd St.) 9 minutes and the West Village/SoHo less than 20 minutes. The 1 train (also 125th St.) is a 5 minute walk away.
I have an eat-in kitchen with pots and pans and all you need, which you are welcome to use. There is wireless and plug-in high-speed internet access in both bed rooms. I keep things tidy and recycle, use non-toxic cleaning products/detergents and no-VOC paints, only. The electricity I purchase is 100% wind power generated.
I provide all the usual amenities, including sheets and towels, and quiet fans in both rooms for those hot NYC summer nights. This is a non-smoking apartment, but each of the bed rooms has a fire escape if you need to step out for a smoke.
Fairway Uptown (perhaps the greatest supermarket in town) is about a 10 minute walk. There's a do-it-yourself and full service laundromat just around the corner (literally.)
There is free on-street parking. Please familiarize yourself with the signs regarding street cleaning regulations, when you get there.
I frequently travel and make the place available on AirBnB to help out with the cost.

We were travelling with four friends and spent 10 wonderful days at Henning's place. The contact with Henning in advance and during our stay was very friendly and uncomplicated. Henning did all to make the stay as comfortable and uncomplicated as possible for us. The neighbourhood is pretty vivid (one might say a little louder) and everybody was ver nice to us. And the Deli at the corner is indeed a great "food-provider" even late at night. We definetly would stay with Henning again! Thanks for all!
The reservation was canceled 134 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Super recomendada!!!
We were a group of 5 people being in Henning's apartment for almost a week. We had good contact with Henning, who gave us a lot of information about the apartment before our departuring and even send us message during our stay to make sure if we had everything needed. We didn't met him, but Ms Jewels was really cool. She gave us the keys and introduced us the apartment and the nearby environment when we arrived. We finally gave her some tips at the first day to thank for her help. The apartment was in a great location within a 3-4 minute walk to the subway. The place is not dangerous, except for two of the six nights we heard some people spoke loudly outside the apartment (around 3:00 AM) which made us feel a little unconfortable. Overall, I think it's a fair peice for its convenience, but it may not your first choice if you are putting more wiight on cleanness and quietness.
I apologize for overlooking to clean the coffee maker before your arrival, Wendy. And I agree it's a shame that some people throw garbage in the street...unfortunately, not much can be done about this; but fortunately, the city's street cleaning vehicles do a pretty good job.
The apartment is located in a ragged building and it, itself, presents a deterioration that does not appear at all in the advertisement: dirties floors and windows, worn-out bed linen, poor mattress, bad frying pans, etc.. Nevertheless the main problem of it is the hot: the kitchen, restroom and a room do not have heating but a pipe goes through the wall from top to bottom to the upper stores making sometimes the heat unbearable which only can be remedied opening the windows even at midnight. Even worse is the situation in the main room, the only that counts on a radiator as this does not work but where, in spite of that, the hot water gets out to the room as water vapour through the stopcock making a noise similar to out of a device for spraying when functioning. To sum up, even if the kitchen and the shoer are correct, the apartment is not worth at all what it cost.
Carlos displayed a negative energy before even stepping into the apartment. I tried contacting him a day after his party checked in to make sure they were happy and had everything they needed, but never received a response throughout their stay.

Mes amies et moi avons passé une super semaine à NY.
Henning est au top est très disponible comme hôte.
L'appartement est comme sur les photos. Très bien situé ( à 2minutes du métro et d'une petite épicerie).
Le quartier est assez calme.
Henning (email hidden). We booked fairly last minute and he was very accommodating. We even ask to stay an extra 2 nights with less than 24 hours’ notice and this wasn’t an issue for him. The apartment is in a great location within a 2 minute walk to the subway (which takes you straight into the city in less than 15 minutes). It was also a pleasant walk to Central Park and many great restaurants and cafes. The rooms were spacious and clean. There was good heating, fast internet and he even left lollies for us!!
Miss Jules was just lovely and made us feel very welcome. She even walked us to the Laundromat in the freezing cold (even though it is just around the corner) and made sure we got there okay.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in NYC.
Henning (email hidden)e apartment is in a good location, interesting nook of New York. Only have good things to say about the housekeeper, Ms. Jewels. She was a gem. Would recommend to others.
We were a party of 5 and we had a great time at Henning's apartment. It's a modest apt with everything one could need, comfortable beds, a full equipped kitchen, wi-fi, etc. The place is not close to downtown but extremely easily within reach, the metro station (D-line) is just 2 blocks away from the apt. and with service at all hours, within 10-15' you are at times square.
Communication with Henning was always friendly and fast. He gave us all the necessary info to reach the flat. If he's not around he makes sure that in case one needs something there's somebody who could help you.
We certainly recommend his place and would gladly rent it for our next trip to NYC.
