The Bijoux, an old carved teak rice barn, has a veranda and small kitchen. In the rice fields far from traffic. For neighbors: ducks, rice farmers, and an exotic collection of local artists. 2-5 minute walk to restaurants, 15 minute walk to town. Sleep in a double Chinese antique carved bed. Enjoy our friendly staff.
Unlike many other countries, in Bali you should be polite by talking to everyone you meet. A smile and a simple hello are sufficient, but it is more polite to stop and start a conversation. This is a place to make friends fast. A Balinese saying, "Don't be shy" applies at all times. This also means that you can ask our staff about anything; where to find a good restaurant, where to rent a motor bike or car, where to get a massage, where to find a taxi or tour guide, what to wear when you visit a temple. Don't be shy.
This house is not suitable for young children. There are rice field banks, ponds, irrigation channels and steps that require care to navigate. Great for more grown up kids, but not for the young ones.
