These rice fields have many restaurants and shops just a 2-5 minute walk away. If you want a taxi locally, there is a taxi stand at the bottom of the steps. For more extended excursions, our staff can phone for a driver. The Guide to Local Adventure that we will send you gives you information and phone numbers for many tours in the area.
Other things to note
Ubud tourism focuses on culture, yoga and nature. In contrast to the main tourist area in southern Bali, the area has forests, rivers, cooler temperatures and less congestion.
Unlike many other countries, in Bali you should be polite by talking to everyone you meet. A smile and a simple hello are sufficient, but it is more polite to stop and start a conversation. This is a place to make friends fast. A Balinese saying, "Don't be shy" applies at all times. This also means that you can ask our staff about anything; where to find a good restaurant, where to rent a motor bike or car, where to get a massage, where to find a taxi or tour guide, what to wear when you visit a temple. Don't be shy.
This house is not suitable for young children. There are rice field banks, ponds, irrigation channels and steps that require care to navigate. Great for more grown up kids, but not for the young ones.
