It is the best location in Ubud.

Ubud tourism focuses on culture, yoga and nature. In contrast to the main tourist area in southern Bali, the Ubud area has forests, rivers, cooler temperatures and less congestion.
LOTS of great reviews in my guest book from bookings made other than air bnb...but not sure how to get them onto here??
Guests are expected to relax, enjoy and ask the staff if they need any help with the house with the area and how to find a taxi or motorbike
Myself and my husband really enjoyed our four nights here. The location is ideal as it is away from the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. The setting itself is really picturesque and we enjoyed spending time reading on the verandah. Just make sure you remember a torch for the evening.
The house is very beautiful. The bed isn't the biggest but very comfortable. There is plenty of storage too. The bathroom was lovely but the shower didn't have the best pressure, the price you pay for staying in such a beautiful spot!
Ken and Noelle arranged for Wayan to collect us from the airport. He was a very good driver and his English was great. We arranged the rest of our travel with him too.
We really loved Yellow Flower Cafe nearby and ate there everyday. Intuitive Flow Yoga was incredible too, well worth a visit.
We had a wonderful stay in this little house. It was magical at night listening to the sounds of the wildlife and watching the fireflies. The house itself was quirky and special. The bed is a piece of art in itself and long enough for my 6 foot 1 husband. Wayan (the driver) was great and it was really nice having the cleaners making daily visits. The stairs up to the area were fine too. The house is in a good location in the rice paddies so it is peaceful, but a short walking distance to ubud centre. I was a bit worried that Mosquitos might be a problem here but we took lots of mosquito protection and used the mosquito net and had no problems with mosquitos. Bring a torch as it gets dark in the area.
Bijoux House is a charming and beautiful cabin surrounded by rice fields. It's simple, but very clean. I was in particular awe of the beautiful light fixtures!
Location-wise it was perfect for me--a 15 minute walk to Ubud on the Jl. Raya (there are sidewalks!) or a quick 25,000 ojek ride to the centre of town. I had been to Ubud a handful of times before and was (supposedly) there to do some writing, so I didn't really feel the need to go into town too often. My favourite thing about the location was the fact that the friendly and tasty Yellow Flower Cafe was only a minute away! There is also a supermarket (Bintang) that is relatively close so you can use the kitchenette (gas stove, fridge)! I had a stint of dish-related bad luck, but Noelle and Ken were super gracious about it!
The staff (Made and Nyoman) made me the loveliest welcome drink, brought my clothes for laundry, and surreptitiously cleaned my room when I was out.
For writers/researchers/nomadic workers: the internet is fine! No downloading big media files, but it does what you need it to do!
Quick tips/idiosyncratic things:
- Echoing previous comments: remember to bring a flashlight at night
- If you are a restless sleeper, bring earplugs because the frogs and geckos (especially the tokay) can keep you up--but you get used to them and they're a good reminder you're in nature!
- As all houses located in rice paddies are: bring mosquito repellent!
- If you're short like me (5 feet), the bed is a bit high requiring some leaping action. But the mattress is comfy.
Thanks for the lovely stay!
We had a wonderful stay at bijoux house. It's such a beautifully hand carved house and so peaceful amongst all the creatures in the rice fields. There was plenty of places to eat surrounding bijoux house including lalalily and yellow flower cafe and mades warung. The house is suitably located far enough from the noise of busy ubud town also. It was also wonderful to have peace and quiet whilst we stayed here - we weren't disturbed by anyone, yet the house was cleaned daily whilst we were out. Thank you very much for having us here
We have just one word for Noëlle's Bijoux House: amazing. It's everything (and even a bit more) we hoped for. The location is stunning: the cabin is right in the middle of rice fields. Absolutely one of our best AirBNB-experiences.
It's about a 15 minutes walk from the chaotic centre of Ubud. With honking mopeds and cars everywhere, Bijoux House is the perfect getaway to relax.
The house isn't easy to find, and there are quite a few stairs to climb, but we had excellent help from Wayan, who might just be the best taxi driver of Ubud. Noëlle arranged that he picked us up at the airport and he guided us to the house (even carried a backpack).
The house was exactly as you see in the picture: picturesque and with a beautiful view. We especially enjoyed the porch, where we listened to the frogs, birds and crickets. It was perfectly clean and tidy, and has a rather spacious bathroom for such a cosy house. The bed is a piece of art and has a pretty good matras.
You definetely should bring a flashlight, since it gets pretty dark around the rice fields. Just around the corner you'll find the Yellow Flower Café: a really nice hangout with great (organic!) food (try the 'coconut half' and one of their smoothies) and a beautiful view. Walk a bit further and you'll find a yogacenter. Great to start the day with a 7am yoga class.
We loved it and would definetely go there again.
Like a dream come true! For us the three days we spent in the little Bijoux house were among the highlights of our trip. We loved doing some yoga and then breakfast at the Yellow Flower Café, which are both only minutes away. We spend our evenings reading on the porch and watching the fireflies above the rice fields. Ubud Centre is a longer walk or a short cab ride away, which suited us fine, since we preferred the rice fields over the shops and restaurants. Overal it was a pretty magical stay and we hope to come back some time in the future!
