  • Pamela was a wonderful host--she was very sweet and thoughtful. Her home is beautiful and full of positive energy. I was greeted with a cup of tea and a kind note. Pamela was helpful in telling me about her town and even drew a map to guide my bike ride. She has a luxurious bathtub. Her home is a lovely and a nurturing place to slow down from the routines of everyday life.

  • My wife and I had wonderful time there. Pamela was a very gracious host. She even fixed us breakfast 2 mornings & let us use the kitchen whenever we wanted. Her house is charming: an old New England farm house that she has remodeled beautifully. It is close to town & the Outlets & the main route north. We would stay with Pamela again in a heartbeat. She is a very kind and caring person.

  • The stay was too short. Great breakfast, comfortable bed. Wonderful conversation.

  • Kevin and I had a phenomenal time staying with Pam - she really made us feel at home! We decided to spend our Anniversary weekend away from the city and Pam's holistically welcoming listing really drew us in.

The space is beautiful, Pam keeps it immaculately clean. The warm and cozy wood-stove (kept burning day and night) was a boon and it kept us comfortable through the weekend of snow storms. Pam was very attentive to our needs, and was really great at asking what we needed and wanted, respecting our schedule and giving us plenty of space to do the creative work we came to do :D. We didn't quite come equipped for the surprise snow, so she also let us borrow mittens and hats to go outside and build a snowman.
We could go on and on about how awesome it was to stay with Pam and her roommate Sue, but we'll spare you the details. Suffice it to say, You won't regret staying in this cozy historic house or spending any time with your intelligent, interesting, open-minded hostess.

Thank you for your kind words. Happy Anniversary...and so much more!

  • Pam's home is a welcome respite from the city life! Pam is warmth incarnate and made our stay effortless in every way...easy conversation, yummy food for breakfast, local tips for parking, pastries, restaurants, etc. We even spotted a hawk in her backyard and watched it fly off in the distance! *That* might be hard to replicate...

  • Pam really went out of her way to make us feel at home. Even though she wasn't there for most of our stay, she was always reachable by phone and gave us great advice on what to do. Her place is located just about 8-10 min away from everything (Portsmouth, Kittery) so it was very convenient.

Our room was a good size for the two of us, located on the opposite side of the house from the other couple staying there, and warm (thanks to an awesome space heater).

After dinner, we came back and relaxed in the living room and watched a movie. Everything about her place made me feel right at home. This was my first experience on airbnb and it definitely gets an A+. It'll be hard for anyone else to top Pam's hospitality and warm personality (not to mention her awesome chicken soup!).

  • Pam went out of the way to be helpful. She provides all of the amenities of a hotel, such as fresh flowers, complimentary toothpaste, etc. She provided coffee and a light breakfast. She even sent me one of her home-made bread recipes!

Pam is a world traveler and has many interesting stories to share. I was in the area for a wedding, and Pam took a personal interest in me and all of the events which made me feel as though we were old friends.

She has a spacious kitchen and the main bathroom is the size of a small bedroom with a huge tub!

Thanks for a wonderful stay, Pam.

    Response from Pam Ellen:

Haha!! I will wait patiently for that wedding invitation!

  • Pam’s welcome was fantastic! She showed us around her house which sported many original pieces of art and said, ‘Make yourselves at home.’ We relaxed immediately. Our room was a good size, beautifully decorated; the shared facilities were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and conversation lively and interesting, we are early-ish risers and Pam was accommodating. We asked lots of questions about the area and what not to miss as we were in Portsmouth for just one night. We’d stay for longer another time and we’d stay with Pam! Peter and Sonya

  • My husband and I stayed one night at Pam's house. The room, bath and kitchen were clean and Pam was a great host, with endless tips, ideas and recommendations for every thing we wanted to do in the area. She also knew to give us the space and privacy we needed. Her house is just lovely and the location is great! Thanks Pam, we will be back!
