THE SPACE

3 A/C bedrooms with beautiful indoor/outdoor bathrooms. There are daybeds throughout the villa with panoramic views across the Lombok Straits, sun lounges by the large infinity pool looking across to the Islands of Nusa Penida and Lembongan.

3 FULLY A/C +CEILING FAN BEDROOMS

Ground floor : A spacious bedroom suite with AC and fan, and large garden bathroom with sunken tub.
Upper Floor 2 bedrooms : (1)a spacious bedroom suite with King size bed with A/C and ceiling-fan and large bathroom, and (2) a lovely smaller bedroom with A/C and ceiling fan and private bathroom. It has twin beds or can be a double. this room has terraces and views in all directions - a hidden gem.

A CHINESE CANOPIED BED is available for an extra person on request.

All of the other living spaces in the villa are semi-open and cooled by ceiling fans.

We offer you a magnificent wooden deck cantilevered over the shoreline with a Balinese thatched gazebo and daybeds to stretch out, have a massage, enjoy a freshly-made tropical drink and let the sound of the sea soothe your mind and restore your body.

Upstairs, amidst the coconut fronds, with sweeping views from sunrise over Lombok to magical sunsets over Padang Bai, our timbered verandah offers you space to dance, play, and practice yoga. With space for up to 16, it is perfect for yoga retreats, and all the yoga equipment is freely available.

For dinner you might choose to stay in and relax whilst a divinely decadent Balinese feast, or 'megibung banquet', is brought to you by candlelight … and our menu of Balinese and Western dishes has enough to please all tastes, with fresh seafood, pork spareribs and delicious vegetarian food our specialty. With plenty of living space and 3 garden areas, we've held events which include anniversary parties for 60 and candle-lit dinners for two. Private cultural performances, superb East Balinese banquets - nothing is too much trouble for us to arrange to make your holiday perfect.

NIGHTLIFE

Need a little night life? The largest nearby town of Candi Dasa is only 4 km away, and many restaurants will send a car to collect you - so transport is never a problem. We can arrange a driver for you to discover beautiful East Bali, and each room carries a full description of local sights and trips, so you can plan your next day from bed!

HOST'S TIP

Make time to enjoy an evening at Vincent’s Jazz restaurant in Candi Dasa. They will send a car to collect you and bring you home, free of charge! THURSDAY is LIVE JAZZ NIGHT - book ahead.

Villa Nilaya features an extensive menu with authentic Balinese flavours, and the services of the chef are included in the villa price, so you only pay for the meals you order (prices are on par with those in the local warungs).
You can pre-order a meal to be ready upon your arrival and we have a good wine list, from which you can pre-order prior to your arrival if you wish.

You don't need to travel for great SNORKELING - it's right at the front of the villa, and the dive wrecks of Tulamben make a great day trip.
We can help you organise snorkeling gear.
If deeper sea DIVING or PADI courses are your thing, we can assist you with recommended Dive Masters who will pick you up and tailor the diving to your wishes and ability.

Marvel at the spectacle of Mt Agung viewed from the sea - take a BOAT TRIP on a local fishing vessel - they will come in and collect you directly from the shore in front of the villa. Take a picnic basket, or set off for a day on the 'white sand beach' and enjoy BBQ fish!
