About this listing
This is my tiny house on Capitol Hill in Seattle. It's walking distance (10min) to a very vibrant neighborhood with music venues, book stores and record stores, amazing coffee shops and restaurants. There is a grocery store (Safeway) about 200ft away and a friendly neighborhood bar (BottleNeck) 200ft beyond that.
Check out the guidebook:
The house is one big open concept room with a loft upstairs with a queen size bed and a sofa downstairs. I have a gourmet kitchen packed with spices, gas range, farm house sink, built in espresso machine and everything you need to create a great meal. There are two full bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a claw foot soaking tub. Make a meal, relax by the fireplace, have a bubble bath. I have a beautiful, quiet and tiny back yard for relaxing in the evenings, complete with chickens - help yourself to fresh eggs! The chickens are in their chicken coop and won't bother you unless you let them out (if you do, make sure you're around come dusk when they'll want to let themselves back in :)
There is public transit one block away that will take you direct to downtown (#11) or direct to UW (#48).
There's no cable TV, but I do have a Roku device hooked up to the TV upstairs, which means free Netflix, Hulu+, Amazon Video on Demand, and tons of other channels, plus a DVD player if you prefer a cozy night in with a movie.
I'm 33 and live in Seattle. Before this I lived in Ottawa, Toronto, and Timisoara.
When I'm in Seattle I like to cook, bike around town, hike in the mountains, ski and snowboard, go to lots of concerts, and generally be active. When I travel I like to spend time with locals and find local hangouts, dive bars, great restaurants, and learn about local culture. I don't usually show up with an itinerary and will go where the wind takes me and the food smells good.
I've been doing AirBnb for a while now and I've stayed in Portland OR, Nashville TN, Memphis TN, Reykjavik, Iceland and many places in Turkey!
Looking forward to hosting you when you're in Seattle, and to staying with you when I'm in your neck of the woods!
