Our fun, busy home is the perfect place for those of you who want a home from home feel, while staying in Dublin.
What could be better than knowing there is a home cooked meal waiting after a busy day sight seeing, studying or doing your internship.
Staying with a family is the best way to make the most of your experience.
We are a family of 5. Mum, Dad & 3 children (13, 3 & 4). My husband works and I stay home to look after the children & our guests.
We have a busy fun household & enjoy welcoming guests into our family :) Our guests stay in the house next door to our house. Which gives you as much independence as you like while still spending as much or as little time with us as you want.
Each room has bed, storage, desk and access to Wifi.
We all eat dinner in the evenings together, which is fun and it gives everyone a chance to share their day.
The house has easy access from the airport and the city is a short bus ride away.
So if you want a home from home we will be happy to make your stay with us a comfortable one.
Our guests eat dinner in the evenings with the family in the evenings and are always welcome to share a coffee and a chat.
We are on hand to offer help, advise and direction when needed.
We live on a quite road in a mature suburb of Dublin. Half way between the airport & the city.
We are close to Dublin city university.
There is a medium sized shopping center within walking distance of the house, which has plenty of fast food and other restaurants.
Also there is a lovely park approx 5 mins from the house.
The nearest bus stop is no more than 5 mins walking. The bus will take you directly into the city.

It has been a wonderful and eventful time living with Ailis, the place is cleaned weekly to a sparkling finish. The people are friendly and there is never a dull moment. With bus's within a short walking distance and DCU around the corner for some live plays at the Helix theater, you cant get it any better. It really is a lovely place.
I loved staying with Ailis and her family in her comfortable home in Dublin. She is an excellent host. She offered a warm welcome, a comfortable bed, help with transportation needs, and a hot meal at the end of each day. Returning to a warm and inviting family atmosphere after a long day of sight-seeing added depth to my experience of Ireland and its people. I recommend staying with Ailis as a welcome beginning and sweet ending to your experience of Dublin and the island of Ireland.
We stayed with our kids with Ailis and her family and the experience was great. They did all they could possible do to make us feel at home.
Thank you for being so kind and warm!
Staying with Ailis and her family was a great experience. It was even better than I expected. I loved sitting at the dinner table with a dozen other people from all over the world every day. I loved the conversations in the patio after dinner, while Ailis´daughter was playing the guitar in the back yard.
Everyone had awesome tips about places to visit (Ailis, her husband, her mom, her mother in law)..
Ailis was very attentive and full of surprises (thanks for the cider!) :)
She had a million stories to tell after dinner, while drinking a glass of wine..
I would recommend anyone to stay with her and her family.
I'm sure our paths will cross again.
I was in a Ailis house for one month and a half and it was an incredible experience, they treated me always with a smille and affection, the experience with the other guests was also very good. Hope to see you son. Regards from Bilbao!
He estado en la casa de Ailis mes y medio y la experiencia a sido increíble. Siempre me trataron con una sonrisa y con mucho cariño. La experiencia con los otros huéspedes fue buenísima también. Espero veros pronto. Saludos desde Bilbao!
I had such a great time at the Collerans home, they were very welcoming and provided me with just about every meal. Ailis is so funny and fun to be around. She offered me tons of help from what bus to take, to where to go out at night. Wish I could have stayed longer all the guests were so nice.
I had a very nice stay here while I set myself up in Dublin and started looking for a flat. My room was pleasant with bed, dresser and desk. Cereals, milk and bread were provided in the morning and Dinner was already provided nightly.
Ailis, Ian and family made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and helped with provided my with lots of advice and guidance. Ailis went out of her way to help me find bus routes and times throughout my stay to make my navigation of Dublin easier.
There is a warm friendly atmosphere in the houses with most of the guests eating dinner together on a nightly basis cooked by Ailis.
In the second guest house (there are 2 next to each other) there was a well equipped kitchen and living room with appliances that you could use as your own.
I would highly recommend staying with Ailis and family as they have a great value home stay business going and are warm and friendly people too.
I was treated like family the second I walked in the door. It was like a bed and breakfast but with dinner instead. Cutest kids ever! Silos is definitely supermom, running the bnb, looking after 3 of her own and numerous exchange students. They own 2 properties next to each other so space isn't an issue.
My experience was great, I have met lot of interesting, funny and nice people, and i have been like in my own house. The house and the room was good and very clean, and the best of all, the family. Thank you for this 3 weeks !!
All good, Ailis is great and very willing to help.
Room is good and clean, and so is the rest of the house
