It was my first experience with airbnb and it was disappointing.
My friends came to the apartment one day before me after the 11 hours flight and there were no hot water to take a shower. After that the hot water was on and off. On the second day of our reservation the lights in the kitchen went off and the fridge was out of order. I came to NY one week after my knee surgery and the ice at the and of the busy day in NY was very important for me.
We requested the second set of keys for three of us because I was limited with my knee problems and Lee forgot to leave the keys on the fourth day of our reservation.
I felt like Lee did not care about me and my friends for all six days we were in his apartments and when I explained my problems by phone he was laughing.
I do not know how to avoid this kind of situations in future. You better text and email Lee every hour if you need something from him.
I'm sorry about the problems that you had. I simply forgot about the keys - sorry about this. I thought I had fixed the fridge on Saturday, but apparently it was still broken. My apologies. You did not tell me the fridge wasn't fixed the day you departed, on Tuesday. Since I wasn't aware it wasn't fixed properly, I couldn't remedy it. The hot water issues are being resolved by a new hot water boiler that will be installed next week. I'm sorry the hot water wasn't consistent during your stay.
Great apt in midtown with space for 6 if needed - my brother ended up staying with me & my boyfriend the one night we rented the apt, and lee was very flexible. Apt was clean & was worth the 4 story walkup :)
Nice place for sure.. I agree with most of the other reviewers who have given 4 or 5 stars. Moreover, the place is exactly same as you see in photos. ( We BnB users sometime come across places that do not match with photos and descriptions ).
This apartment is so centrally located for an impact stay in nyc. My husband was able to walk to his seminars at the convention center, we walked with 2 children to times square for TKTS and then to dinner with friends and then our Broadway show and back to the apartment. It's clean, the bathroom is renovated, and the kitchen well appointed for basic food prep. We liked having the Pure Fresh right in the first floor as you can get food without going far... Especially nice when it's fridgid outside. There is a sofa bed that worked well for our 8 and 10 year old. Nyc is not a place you go to hang out in your hotel room so we were not in the as apartment a ton, but it made for a great home base. If you need clean, location and value, this is a good choice.
Great apartment! Awesome location, very clean, quiet and comfortable.
Lee was a great host for us. He greeted us when we arrived to make sure everything was ok and gave us some great options for places to go and eat. He had constant communication with us which made our stay a lot more pleasant. I can't say enough about the location, only a few blocks away from Times Square and less than a 5 minute walk to the subway. I highly recommend Lee's apartment to anyone staying in new York!
The apartment is like in the pictures! Lee was an excellent host!! The apartment is very cozy and welcoming. It has a metro station around the corner. We were four people and the apartment was very good, two blocks from the Empire State and a few meters from Times Square. Has many restaurants nearby, some small markets and many shops!! Will definitely stay stayed at this apartment again on my next visit to NYC!! Thanks for everything, Lee!
The apartment was exactly as pictured and perfectly located to explore Manhattan. We loved the close proximity to all major sights and many shops & restaurants close by.
Apartment was exactly what we expected. Everything worked. It was clean and organized. The heat control is the knob on the radiator, so if you are not watching it it can get really hot! Great location 1 block from the subway and just off 6th avenue.
Had a good stay at Lee's apartment. Very nice, clean and quiet. Close to Penn Station with good places to eat nearby.
