The best in Manhattan - 36 street between 5/6 avenues. Why? Most apartments are on the east or west side of Manhattan. There are very few apartments between Madison ave and 7th avenue. Also, most subways run north/south. Thus, generally it's difficult to go east/west. But from my apartment, you can easily walk to the east and west sides, and also get to subways on both sides.
2 minute walk to Macys, 2 minute walk to Empire State building, 7 minute walk to Times Square. 2 minute walk to subway station on 35 street and 6 avenue.

The host was welcoming and met us at the door to give us the key. He provided and extra air mattress for one of our grandchildren to sleep on.
The location is an easy walk from Times Square, easy to find, and feels very safe.
Really nice place, well located. Lee has been a perfect host! I highly recommend :-)
Lee was timely with his communication and very detailed. We didn't actually meet in person but everyone that we encountered (cleaning person and the lady at the cleaners that gave us the keys) were very nice and friendly.
Lee's apartment is in the PERFECT location. Access was easy to everything that we wanted to see. There is a café on the first level which was perfect for picking up a snack, meal or cup of coffee. It is a small building with only eight units. We didn't see anyone else during our three-day stay. We would highly recommend staying at Lee's apartment.
We had a very good time in Nyc. The apartment was nice and it was exactly as described here on airbnb. The position was wonderful. We could reach walking almost everything in manhattan, the empire, times square, rockfeller cente, in maximum 10 minutes. In other words, a beautiful experience. Thank you.
Great location: very close to Empire State and subways. Lee was friendly and quick to respond. He's very flexible with check-in/check-out times. The beds are comfortable and everything is pretty new. Overall, great experience.
Everything went great. The apartment is very well restructured and cozy and it really is worth the stairs. The position is perfect, right in the middle of everything. Lee always answered all our questions promptly and kindly and was as every host should be.
Lee is very friendly. The apartment has an amazing location, within walking distance to most of the must-see attractions in the midtown. Subways and buses are all nearby. Four of us fit perfectly in the apartment. We highly recommend Lee's apartment.

I've lived in NYC for 12 years and have loved every second of it. I LOVE to travel and have visited over 40 countries. I prefer staying in apartments when I travel, and I think that makes me a better host. My favorite country is probably Italy, with France and Brazil a close second and third. The most unique place I've visited so far is North Korea (really).
