What can I say? Our stay at Haleakala B&B could not be more perfect. Well, except if we didn't have to leave. Bill, your home is absolutely stunning. From the drive down the driveway, to the walk up the breezeway, and into the Kokua Nest, we knew from then that we had made the perfect choice. And that ocean view? Waking up to that each morning and taking in the vistas with coffee on the lanai was the best way to start our Hawaiian days. We even made it a point to spend an entire day there by the pool. All in all a relaxing and dreamy stay. Much mahalos for having us, Bill. We cannot wait to return.
The Haleakala B&B couldn't have been more perfect for us! We loved the privacy, comfortable accommodations, coffee in the mornings with a gorgeous ocean view and the sunsets were absolutely spectacular! The staff made us feel right at home and were quick to meet our every need.
The location was perfect with easy access to most everything in the Kona area as well as quick access to other parts of the island like the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.
We have already recommended it to a few of our friends and would highly recommend it for you as well. You won't regret making the decision to stay at Haleakala – you'll wish you never had to leave.
O lugar é maravilhoso. Fomos na nossa lua de mel e foi perfeito. O quarto é limpo e espaçoso. A localização é excelente. A vista é linda com direito a por do sol do quarto.
We were looking for a place that was clean, conveniently located near intended destinations (everything is within a few hours drive on the big island), and offering a view. We were not disappointed by this rental. This was a great base of operations for our numerous adventures. We were gone the entirety of the days, but always made it “home” to stop in and catch the sunset. Bill's place offers a spectacularly colorful view of Kona spilling into the gentle blue Pacific, and fading into the western coast.
We never really spent any time by the poolside or hot tub, even though they looked inviting. Just ran out of hours as we moved around the whole trip and exhausted ourselves.
Other things: The mini fridge kept our leftovers cold, the bed was comfortable, and floors and space were very clean. It wasn't the quietest at night, due to a handful of neighboring animals. That withstanding, it is Hawaii and the island is host to many nocturnal creatures, some that make music and some that make noise.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to any couples out there looking for a beautiful, clean house to settle into in the Kona area.
William ( Bill) made us feel quite welcome, and was quick to answer any questions we had.
We booked for ten days, which is longer than a normal booking, which averages about four days.
The booking met our expectations for privacy (far better than a hotel or resort, and our room was detached from the main house), quiet (there are feral roosters all over the big island, so expect to hear them in the early morning), security, cleanliness, and access.
The property is at about 1500 feet, so nights were nice and cool, and the views were very good. The property is nicely landscaped, as well.
If we return to Kona, Bill would be on our list of possible providers, and we will recommend him to friends.
This is a truly stunning location, the only downfall is we didn't book long enough to really enjoy it. William was a great host and have heaps of tips and lent us some snorkelling gear. Highly recommended! You would pay much more to stay at a resort for the same experience.
