Bed & Breakfast - Entire home/apt · A Mamalahoa Hwy, Hōlualoa, HI 96725, United States

The Space

After landing and renting your car, head on up to Holualoa and Haleakala Bed and Breakfast with its Ocean View rooms. The Kokua Nest private cottage is perched above Kona Town, on the Big Island, at the end of a private drive over looking the Blue Pacific.  A perfect adult getaway!

Our rooms base price is $150 but must include Hawaii 13.25% local sales and accommodations taxes. Airbnb does not collect those taxes so our price of $170 is all inclusive. There is nothing extra for us to collect when you arrive.

Haleakala is situated on the Holualoa mountain side at the perfect elevation. It is the Kama'aina secret, perfect weather, lets you relax and comfortably sleep never too warm or cold.

For your breakfast Haleakala has partnered with two of the best breakfast restaurants in Kona to provide the widest variety of selections that any B&B can offer, come and enjoy our Aloha.

The cottage is separate and private from the main house surrounded by tropical gardens and situated to take advantage of the view. Your upper floor Private Master Suite, Lanai and Master Bath are built over your private parking garage. The view from both Lanais is of the Kona Coast above farms of Macadamia Nuts & Coffee and provides a view of the setting sun on the Blue Pacific Ocean.

Our second listing the Aloha Room is a full master suite with an in room shower bath but shares its Lanai with the Main house. Both provide privacy and separate entrances. Enjoy our outdoor garden shower or spa just steps from your door. Go exploring in Coffee country and Holualoa art galleries then come back to the Nest, rest up and get ready for an evening out on Kona town just minutes from your coffee country cottage.

Haleakala Bed and Breakfast is surrounded by Macadamia Orchards and Coffee groves providing a natural setting for many of Hawaii's birds and game fowl. Don't be surprised to see the rare Hawaiian Hawk, local finches, Turkeys or other game birds. Mamalahoa Hwy is known as the old Heritage Drive and Haleakala is a great starting point to tour the Island sites and beaches. Haleakala places you 10 minutes from great beaches, water sports, sights, and attractions.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay of seven days at the Haleakala BnB. The accommodations are just as pictured if not better. The decor is comfortable, quality, and immaculate. We loved the private balcony for sunsets and glasses of wine. William is a fantastic host with a wealth of knowledge of the area. The breakfast options at the Holuoloa cafe or Splashers in Kailua were perfect. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the Big Island. Mahalo William.

  • This was our first b&b experience but definitely not our last. Haleakala B&B is a beautiful property and Bill and Patty are excellent hosts. It is in a great location to explore the Big Island, but you may never want to leave. Hoping to plan a return visit in the future!

  • We had an amazing stay in Kokua Nest! The view was absolutely stunning and it was a wonderful place to stay for several days. Away from town a few minutes, it was very private and relaxing. Bill was a fantastic host and the breakfasts provided were the best we've ever had at a B&B. We'd highly recommend the Splasher's Grill for breakfast if you want to sit and dine. Overall it was one of the best experiences we've had an a B&B and we will definitely be back! Thanks for the great time Bill. My wife and I had one of the best vacations we've had in a long time.

  • Bill was very accommodating and friendly. He gave us an introductory walk through and showed us how everything works. They also discounted our breakfast at the nearby slow food Holuakoa Cafe, which was excellent. This is a beautiful location, meticulously designed and well maintained. Overall, it wasn't too loud, and we slept fine with earplugs. Watch the sunrise from the sinks in the morning and the sunset from the lanai. Highly recommend it!

  • Our stay in the K-Nest was nothing short of perfect. Being just a short and simple drive from the city was great. Breakfast at Splashers was delicious and what a view. We enjoyed the pool which was perfectly refreshing and had perfect privacy on our beautiful lanai. Thanks Bill for your hospitality!!!

  • My wife and I had a great time at Haleakala B&B. Bill was a great host who was very personable and easy to talk to. He has great recommendations on activities for you to do each day depending one what part of the island you think you might want to visit.

The space is beautiful and Bill does a great job keeping it very clean and well maintained. The bed is large and comfortable, the bathroom is large and clean, and the view from the private lanai is as good as you'll find in Kona.

Bill gives you access to his pool, hot tub, and main house lanai. It's a beautiful space.
