About this listing
Typical Carmen neighborhood apartment in the old town in Valencia, totally rehabilitated and equipped. It has wifi and cable TV with access to many international channels.
IN EL CARMEN NEIGHBOURHOOD (OLD CITY):
Its particular strategic situation we must highlight its proximity to the Torres de Quart (2 minutes walk) and Serranos (to 5 minutes), to the Central Market, La Lonja and the Plaza de la Virgen (to 5 minutes), as well as the accessibility on foot to all the historical, administrative and commercial centre of Valencia. A few steps away there is leisure areas, local drinks, terraces, bars, fashionable restaurants and various shops that characterize this historic neighborhood of arab urban layout that expands between labyrinthine alleys and surprises the walker with nice and curious squares and places.
A short distance it has an extensive network of public transport services connecting with any point of the city, as well as La Malvarrosa beach and The City of Arts and Sciences.
Fifty meters there is a station of the public network of bicycles 'Valenbisi' and to another hundred meters, The Turia Garden. This garden runs through the 9 km of the old bed of the Turia river, now turned into a huge urban forest that runs through the entire city. Ten minutes walking we have tram leading to La Malvarrosa beach and the University area of Tarongers.
THE TYPICAL VALENCIAN BREAKFAST:
The typical breakfast in Valencia is coffe or tea plus orange juice and toasts with grated garlic, olive oil, grated tomatoes and salt.
At home you have for free: orange juice, milk, coffee, tea or infusion, bread for toasts, tomatoes, olive oil, garlics and salt, corn flakes, muesli, jam, butter, biscuit, sweets, cupcake (muffin), chocolate and honey.
In reference to vegetarian restaurants: We have to 50 meters from house 'La Lluna' the oldest vegetarian in the city (23th San Ramón street); to 100 meters from house 'La Tastaolletes', a creative vegetarian restaurant (6th Salvador Giner Street) and 'Ana y Eva' to another 100 meters from home, other valencian classic of vegetarian food (49th Turia Street).
The house that we present is located in a building of 1850 fully rehabilitated in one of the quietest areas with greater cultural offer of the barrio del Carmen. The building is located between La Beneficencia and the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) museums and a few meters from the Centro Cultural El Carmen and the neo-Gothic church of La Milagrosa, now converted into the headquarters of the San Vicente Martir Catholic University.
The building, that maintains its structure, original interior and facade, is an example of typical 19th century structures that identify the most emblematic district of the historic centre of Valencia.
The house has all the essential to live and enjoy a few special days in this Mediterranean city. In the celebrations of Fallas (from 15 to 19 March), from the balcony you can see one of Falla monuments with more history in El Carmen neighborhood.

At home we find refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, microwave, cable TV, dvd (with some films, documentaries...), heating, air condition, hair dryer, cot, inside and outside drying rack, kitchen is full equipped with vitroceramic hobs, oven and small appliances (blender, squeezer, toaster...), utensils and other belongings. Great place. We really enjoyed the balcony and the apartment as a whole. Centrally located with ease of access to the city center. The Flamenco show she recommend was fantastic. We also rented ebikes witch were great fit getting around the city. Highly recommended and great value.
Nuria's apartment was an excellent base for exploring Valencia - the location in the heart of the Carme neighborhood is great, the apartment is very well equipped for anything a family with children might need, and above all, the hostess is an amazing woman. She took time to provide us with excellent tips, left us with a fully stocked fridge, went out of her way to enable us to leave our luggage there into the afternoon until our rented car was available on the day we left - really everything a guest could ask for. I recommend this place highly and would very gladly return!
We had a wonderful stay in Valencia in this beautiful apartment- it was absolutely perfect! Great central location but in a nice quiet street, really well equipped and decorated beautifully and we were so grateful for the air con! Nuria was a fantastic host and was there to welcome us when we arrived. She provided lots of useful information about the city and left us lovely breakfast food and other tasty snacks. We would definitely recommend Nuria and this apartment to others wanton to stay in Valencia. Thank you Nuria for a great holiday!
We stayed in two Air BnB's on our trip in Europe and one other place similar to an Air BnB. Of the three, Nuria's was by far the best! We started our trip in Nuria's apartment. She could not have been more welcoming; she was there waiting for us, showed us how to use everything, helped us locate where we were on a map, and had a printed list of some f her recommendations. She also provided us with juice, milk, cereal, bread, tomatoes, and coffee, all of which we used and enjoyed! The place was wonderfully decorated, extremely clean, and incredibly comfortable. The neighborhood was great- close and convenient to everything but away from the crowds and tourists. We loved the bohemian and artsy vibe in the Carmen area. It was also safe and quiet. I really cannot say enough good things about the place- we had everything we needed and more, and if I ever make it back to Valencia I woud stay there again in a heartbeat!
Perfect place to stay. I was like as if I was staying in my own apartment. Nice decorated. Even you can find some foods for breakfast and coffee. Location is perfect to walk almost everywhere. Nuria is a really kind woman.
