The Space

You will be staying in a lovely, bright 1-bedroom cottage nestled between two beautiful old growth oaks trees and centrally located close to everything Asheville has to offer.

The cottage has a full bathroom and kitchen supplied with all of the basic dishes and cookware, including blender and wine glasses. The cottage also includes wi-fi, a stone fire-place with remote control gas logs, a/c, ceiling fan, plenty of parking, and a large, shaded yard great for relaxing in the hammock after a long day exploring Asheville or the surrounding areas. The bedroom has a comfy queen-sized bed, roomy closet, and lots of shelves. Linens and paper products will be provided.

When available enjoy fresh eggs from the backyard hens. Sample veggies from the organic garden. If disc golf is your game, there is a basket for practicing your putts.

The heart of downtown is within 3 miles, the Biltmore Estate is less than 10 miles, hip West Asheville is 1.2 miles, and the upcoming River Arts district is 2.5 miles. There is also a great park located on the French Broad River that has a walking path, dog park, lots of green space, playground, and bike track within a few miles of the house. In case you need help traveling around our beautiful city - the cottage is located on a bus line and buses do have bicycle carriers on all of them.

Well behaved, house broken dogs will be considered with an extra $40 non-refundable cleaning fee per pet. This fee is to cover additional cleaning. Also be aware that there are free range chickens in the yard, so please only bring non-aggressive dogs. No cats. Sorry cat lovers!

Note: The cottage is a separate residence located a good distance from a larger house that Jack lives in. You would share the driveway and yard with the main house.

  • Jack's place was perfect for my weekend retreat this past weekend. The place was quiet, comfortable, and close to everything. I particularly liked the big fireplace with gas logs, as well as the comfortable leather couches and chair. It was a very relaxing place to spend a few days. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Nashville.

  • What a lovely little cottage! It was private and cozy and just a few minutes drive from either West Asheville or downtown Asheville. Jack was very friendly and welcoming. He had some good tips on things to do in the area. In the cottage is a little book with comments from previous guests. It's full of things that other guests have enjoyed doing in the area.

  • This was the best Airbnb experience I've had to date. Jack's cabin couldn't be more perfect for a long stay in Asheville. I sojourned for 6 days and didn't want to leave. It's perfect distance from everything, quiet, and thoroughly accommodating. I'll be booking with Jack again.

  • What a great cabin! It was so cozy and well decorated. Great location. Love the chickens so much and thought the yard was beautiful. Gas logs were lovely. Hopefully next time we come it won't be such dreary weather. Thanks Jack!

  • My lady and I had one of the best weekends of our 12 year relationship. Jack's place was just perfect. Beautiful art and tasteful decor. Really loved that there was no television. I am sure I will be renting again.

  • We rented this lovely little cabin for a friend's honeymoon stay. They were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of Jack's cabin. I would definitely rent Jack's cabin for other friends and family members coming into town. Thank you!

  • Very cozy cabin 10 minutes from everything in town. It is the perfect size for a couple. The remote controlled gas fireplace is clutch. This is a great option if you're looking to balance being close to restaurants/town but still want something quiet.

  • The cabin was a GREAT convenient location, only a couple of minutes from downtown, but in a real cozy suburban feeling neighborhood.

Getting and checking out were easy, place was clean and well appointed. My wife and I really enjoyed our first time in Asheville, and staying at Jack's cabin!

  • We had a fantastic trip to Asheville and Jack's cabin was the perfect accommodation for our time there. The location can't be (email hidden)ose to downtown and West Asheville alike! The cabin is very clean, offers a great deal of privacy and would be my first recommendation for dog owners. Look no further for somewhere to say during your trip to Asheville....Jack's cabin will be our only choice in the future! Thanks Jack!

I like to enjoy the day as much as possible, usually through some sort of exercise like biking or disc golf. I enjoy music, art, and having a good time. My travels so far have taken me to Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, China, Thailand, Laos and all over the U.S. I can speak English and Spanish. You should come visit Asheville, I think you'll like it!
