The Space

My apartment is a cozy, clean and modern studio apartment, with an excellent canal view, in the heart of the Jordaan area.

It comes fully equipped with a kitchen, luxurious bathroom, queen size bed, sofa bed (also queen size), wi-fi and cable TV.

Recently renovated, for a studio apartment it is quite big, and guaranteed not to disappoint anyone visiting the lovely city of Amsterdam.

Location wise - you could not be better located! The apartment is situated right in front of the Lijnbaansgracht canal, next to Westerstraat (where there is the daily Westermarket), near the Anne Frank House, and a 10min walk from Dam Square and Leidseplein (bonus: easy access to park bikes in front of the apartment - and supermarkets and local restaurants nearby).

During you'll stay you'll have a great little place that you could call home. And of course, as long as you don't burn the place down, there aren't that many rules to the place other than respecting the furniture and the belongings in the apartment and no smoking in the apartment.

As a host, I am always willing to accommodate my guests - so please let me know if you have any special requirements.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks!

  • This was the perfect apartment located in the Jordaan. The location was great with really nice restaurants and cafés around the corner and only a 5 min walk from the heart of the city (if you know which way to walk). Wifi worked great, also cable tv and great size apartment to hang out in if you just wanna do that. We were also greeted with a nice bottle if wine from Mitzy which was nice. I would definitely stay there again!

  • Mitzy was delightful and met us at the studio. The studio is exactly like the picture on the first floor of a canal house. We very much enjoyed being in a part of Amsterdam where the locals lived.
Mitzy had left us a list of the places nearby that she liked to visit and we had a couple of memorable meals very nearby.
The local supermarkets were also nearby so we could easily get fresh milk bread and eggs for breakfast and lunches.
On arriving at the airport we got the train to Central station and walked from there to the studio, we had a 48hour ticket for the canal bus which we took advantage of on the Saturday and Sunday but otherwise we walked everywhere.
Our most memorable excursion was on Monday when we visited Anne Franks house, I had read the book many times but to see the house and how small the rooms were for eight people and learn how the office staff helped them at great risk to their own life's was very moving.

  • Mitzy's apartment is the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. Located in the jourdan district it is charming, clean and bright. Overlooking a canal, I even saw a heron sitting on a car. Sadly, during our stay it rained most of the time! How thankful I was that my 10 year old daughter and I had such a lovely sanctuary to return to with super fast wifi to watch films chill out and just relax. So glad we didn't stay in a hotel without a kitchen and home comforts. Mitzy was super efficient, met us on arrival, was welcoming and extremely helpful, directing us on our first night to la perla pizza restaurant, a 5 minute walk away, it was amazing! Thank you Mitzy for your hospitality and making our stay in Amsterdam wonderful. X

  • Mitzy's apartment was great. I will rate it 8/10. The apartment cleanliness is 8/10. The location 8/10. The host 9/10. The host greet us on our arrival. She even helped me with the luggage, which was a bit difficult to handle because Dutch stairs are a bit small and steep. But Mitzy's help made the stairs become comfortable. The stairs was only one time anyway. Please be aware that 1st floor in Netherlands is not the ground floor. Mitzy explained everything to us about the apartment and the surrounding. She even lent us a free entrance to the museum. Also a cute touch was the stroopwafel she gave us as a gift. The kitchen was very easy and well equipped. Even with spices and cooking utensils that Mitzy told were free to use. There was a coffee machine and Mitzy even prepared milk in the refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. There was 1 real bed and 1 couch that could be converted easily to nice bed. The environment was very nice and very quite to sit back and relax. You get to see swans and ducks swim by the kanal, even some birds that chirp on the tree branches. Also some boats that come and go beautifully.
The bathroom was clean and has a new modern touch with Grohe brands. The location was great. It has supermarket just about 3 minutes walk. Restaurants and cafes are a lot. Only downside was when I was going to throw away garbage. I couldn't find a garbage bin within the block, so I asked a few people on the street. But they all say that there is no garbage bin and said just leave it by the street. The entertainment unit was great. There is cable TV with lots of great channels. In conclusion, the apartment is very well recommended, clean, well equipped, with a terrific host. Thank you Mitzy for making our stay unforgettable.

  • This was a great location in Amsterdam with a lot of good food, attractions, and shopping around. The road is not too crowded and the apartment was clean and everything worked well. Mitzy was great. She went out of her way to meet our needs and even had a gift for us when we checked in. We accidentally left a piece of clothing at the apartment and Mitzy contacted us quickly and mailed the clothing to our home for us. :) So nice! This is a great place to stay in Amsterdam with a great host. I would recommend it to everyone.
