We are 6.5 miles from East Hampton Village. Unfortunately, there are not any recommended restaurants or food stores within walking distance of my location. It is highly recommended that Guests have a nice meal on the way before arrival or plan to visit one of our world-class restaurants in the Village after checking in. There are numerous local taxis that will gladly bring you to East Hampton Village and restaurant of your choice. We supply guests with detailed maps and preferred shopping or restaurant choices.
It is two miles to the famous Springs General Store and Pollack Krasner Museum. The house is conveniently located a short walk to bay beaches excellent for hiking, kayaking and fishing. Ocean beaches are as close as 17 minutes away by car with famed Ditch Plains Surfing Beach in Montauk only a 30-minute drive. Please view our detailed Guide Book and Map for more Information.
Traveling TO and FROM East Hampton:
You have two options on public transportation -
1) Hampton Jitney motor coach leaving hourly from various stops in New York City
2) Long Island Railroad leaving approximately three times per day from Penn Station.
Please feel free to contact us regarding transportation to and from the LIRR or Hampton Jitney stops in East Hampton Village. We are happy to arrange pick up to facilitate your trip out East.
If you want to enjoy the area at your own pace, you can take the train to Southampton and rent a car from Hertz Car Rental across from the train station. Just tell the Manger we referred you. Southampton is a short 30 minute drive to East Hampton.
Local Bus & Bicycle Rental:
The local 10B bus runs immediately outside the front and brings you directly into the East Hampton village area where you can transfer to other Suffolk County Transit busses. Get the exercise that you’ve been longing for by renting a bike from Khanh Sports in East Hampton. They have a really cool single speed beach Cruiser with oversized tires for $25/day or a 21 speed Hybrid for $35/day. They offer weekly and monthly rentals as well and will take your reservation over the phone with a credit card.

Love + Light,
Mind, body & spirit is an excellent description of the beautiful sanctuary tucked away on Driftwood Lane. The setting allowed for us to slow down and enjoy a leisurely weekend in this creative, eclectic home and community. Elissa is a lovely host with a wealth of information to share about the area - and the breakfast conversation was rich and memorable - truly. The light, fresh and organic breakfast was yummy. The house, linens and everything are immaculate. Bed was super comfy. It is the perfect little escape, very quiet and serene. Her sweet dog blends in to the motif and is mellow and calm. The backyard is inviting and we adored our walk to the beach and captured the most spectacular sunset - amazing!! Best view of the sunset happens when one walks a bit to see it full on, but it is worth it. Elissa clearly knows the area and has the right blend of suggestions without making us feel like we had to cram stuff in - and she doesn't hover. As a local she knows the perfect spots. We biked all around and took the ferry to Shelter Island and Sag Harbor. The lighthouse at Montauk is just stunning. The art a stone's throw away at the Jackson Pollack house was just incredible - we recommend signing up for the tour. Five stars to Elissa and her lovely home. The highest compliment is knowing we hope to return to her creative haven on Driftwood Lane.
Very pleasant stay; I was most impressed by the cleanliness of her home and the quietude. My girlfriends and I had the relaxing weekend that we had hoped for. Elissa is particular but for good cause as it is her home after all and one should be respectful of a person's sanctuary...and a sanctuary her home is! She was professional yet kind and helpful in her interactions with us. She espoused an interesting blend of traits as a hostess that I think was befitting of what was my first very positive Airbnb rental experience!
Thank you Elisa for your hospitality! Your house is beautiful, our room was comfortable and your breakfast was delicious! Good vibes in perfect location!
Our stay at Elissa's home was a wonderful, relaxing experience over this past Memorial Day weekend.
Elissa was an incredibly friendly and communicative host leading up to and during our stay. She provided a great guidebook and offered us great suggestions during our weekend visit. A delicious, nutritious breakfast was also served each morning.
The room was spacious, happy, and bright. The home was very cozy with a beautiful outdoor area, and it was just a short walk to a nearby bay beach. Elissa’s dog, Flori, was a friendly addition to the environment!
Getting around the area between East Hampton and Montauk was quite easy with a rental car. Even with the increased traffic of the holiday weekend, the drives between locations were smooth and painless.
Overall, wonderful experience. We’d happily visit again should we ever be in the area!
My friends and I had a great experience at Elissa's place. The bedroom was comfortable. It was a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The place was 30-40 min away from Montauk depends on traffic but the view was definitely gorgeous !
My girlfriend and I were interested in staying in East Hampton and Elissa's Listing caught our eye. Elissa was very welcoming and a fantastic host. The description of listing was very accurate and held up to its expectations. Elissa has a wonderful home and makes her guest feel very welcomed. She had many suggestions of different activities in the area. In the morning Elissa graciously prepared a delicious breakfast before we departed. The listing is located in a very secluded neighborhood in East Hampton within walking distance to the beach. This listing is perfect for those wanting to relax and take it easy. Many different things to do in East Hampton and a lot of new opportunities to be had. I would definitely recommend Elissa to anyone looking to stay in East Hampton. Five stars!
We had a great time at Elissa's .The beds were comfy, the continental breakfast was delicious .The house is a short walk to the bay .the place is spotless and Elissa has a lot of good information of where to go.
