Quiet apartment complex, close to Pasadena and downtown L.A. Parking available on street, but if you don't have a car, not to worry--public transportation is only one block away! The complex also has two pools and one hot tub. Apartment filled with folk art from my world travels. I also have cable T.V.
You'll have the spare room to yourself, which has a queen size futon. You'll have access to a shared bathroom, kitchen and living room.
People tell me I'm a good host. Retired from Postal Service. Over 30yrs working in the theater and art scene in L.A. and elsewhere.
Mario was a perfect host for our quick stay! He is incredibly friendly and interesting, and had great suggestions for things to do/see around LA. His apartment was very clean and comfortable.
Mario was super welcoming and friendly! Although we didn't get to interact with him because he was nursing a broken leg and we were on a rushed itinerary, we really appreciated all the help he gave us! Super neat place! :)
Mario was very helpfull from the beginer til the end of our stay. He made us feel like home and it was a great stay. Unfortunatelly, we didnt get to talk much as I did leave early in the morning and come back late in the night. Overall, i recommend his place. Good localization for those who wants to do more than just LA and for those who wants some peace!
Mario is a great guy. He was so friendly and was always keen for a chat. His place was like a mini museum of what he had collected over the years from his travels. The room was perfect for what you pay and his coffee was exceptional. We didn't have a car as we only stayed on 2 random nights but Mario offered to pick us up and drop us off from the Atlantic Light rail, which is close to Union Station. There is a starbucks near his place and quite afew different shops and supermarkets for food and internet. Overall this was a great experience and we look forward to keeping in touch with Mario in the future. LEGEND.
I went to California to visit a grandson for the first time. I was traveling with my daughter who is 8 years old. I wanted to stay somewhere safe because I am not familiar with California. I got in really late and Mario was up waiting for me. I had a wonderful time and his home is very welcoming. Mario is a great host and is able to get you around and on the town with no worries. I will be coming back to California in February and I am hoping he has room for me. If you are looking for a warm host and home Mario is your guy.
Mario is an awesome, kind-soul of a guy. He loves conversation and makes you feel comfortable in his home. His house is very safe and in walking distance to a grocery store. The bed is comfortable, yet basic. I only had wished that he had wifi, which to me is a crucial tool for travelers. Would stay with him again :)
We had a wonderful time here, Mario is helpful for everything, very interesting, nice and welcoming! He made a really good coffee too! The neighborhood is safe and quiet. In one word PERFECT and for a good price in LA ;)
Great airbnb experience. Just a mattress on the floor and a really cool host, at a good price, the way airbnb is supposed to be. Mario has some good stories about his travels if you ask him, over all a great stay.
Great host! Really interesting guy.
Who could ask for anything more?
Mario's a good host and seasoned traveler, and his place fit the bill for my brief stay in Los Angeles this time: affordable, quiet, and clean.
