About this listing
Quiet apartment complex, close to Pasadena and downtown L.A. Parking available on street, but if you don't have a car, not to worry--public transportation is only one block away! The complex also has two pools and one hot tub. Apartment filled with folk art from my world travels. I also have cable T.V.
You'll have the spare room to yourself, which has a queen size futon. You'll have access to a shared bathroom, kitchen and living room.
People tell me I'm a good host. Retired from Postal Service. Over 30yrs working in the theater and art scene in L.A. and elsewhere.
Mario is the best host you could have in LA. He is very helpfull and he cares a lot about his guest. He explained us all he knows about the city, what is good to see and how reach all those places. His place is quiet, we had a perfect stay thanks to him ! Even if you don't speak a very good english, Mario is understandable and no worry : he will understand you!
Mario was very nice, easy-going, helpful, and cultured! His place was a joy to stay at - clean, homey, and museum-like (mementos everywhere from Mario's travels!!!).
Mario was extremely welcoming of us when we landed in LA, he even picked us up from Union Station in the middle of the night! A really well travelled host with many stories and helpful tips and really added value to our stay in LA. Location was good, pleasant neighbourhood with many amenities nearby, will definitely go back when I return!
The place is located a bit far from LA proper, but was perfect for my needs (I was attending a wedding 1 block away). The accommodations are what one should expect at the price point, and I had no issue with the futon or the bathroom. The host, Mario, is a nice guy and very easy going. The one thing I'd note is that he has a collection of tribal masks hanging from the walls, which is fine in the living room, but a tad off-putting hanging right above the futon as one is trying to sleep.
Great room . Pretty much everything was fine . Mario was really gentle and helpful . He droped us off and picked up a lot cuz we didny have a car . He even dropped us off at Greyhound bus station when we left . Thanks !
mario is a very good host. i arrived late that night. he opened the gate for me in 11pm. room is clean and quiet. everything is just ok!
