  • Mario is an amazing host! He makes you feel home from the very first moment and loves to share his knowledge about Los Angeles. We had a really great time at his place and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Hope your knee is well soon, Mario!

  • My boyfriend and I enjoyed Mario's hospitality very much! He is such a helpful and friendly guy, who is always keen to have a chat about his interesting life and traveling in particular. Moreover he gave us many good tips concerning LA's sights and surroundings!
Thank you very much and good luck for the future!

    Response from Mario:

Thanks Paulina and Toby, hope the rest of your trip goes well and I,m pretty sure you felt that earthquake we had last night.

  • Mario was great host, just a pity that he had broken leg when we were with him.
But his tips (how we get the bus, the taxi's etc) was really helpfull to find our way to LA. Mario, thank's for your hospitality and caring for us!

Thanks Yuni, hope the rest of your trip went well and my right leg is getting better, able to walk with crutches and walker.

  • Mario was a great host, making us feel comfortable in his home and giving us advice for our stay in L.A. We had a car but didn't want to drive into the city, Mario suggested driving to the metro station (where you can park for free) and using the met to get around which was perfect for us. The location was great and we had fun chatting to Mario about all kinds of things. The only thing that bothered us was the sound of the trains at night but once we put earplugs in it wasn't a problem. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Mario was super welcoming and friendly! Although we didn't get to interact with him because he was nursing a broken leg and we were on a rushed itinerary, we really appreciated all the help he gave us! Super neat place! :)

  • Mario was very helpfull from the beginer til the end of our stay. He made us feel like home and it was a great stay. Unfortunatelly, we didnt get to talk much as I did leave early in the morning and come back late in the night. Overall, i recommend his place. Good localization for those who wants to do more than just LA and for those who wants some peace!

  • Mario is a great guy. He was so friendly and was always keen for a chat. His place was like a mini museum of what he had collected over the years from his travels. The room was perfect for what you pay and his coffee was exceptional. We didn't have a car as we only stayed on 2 random nights but Mario offered to pick us up and drop us off from the Atlantic Light rail, which is close to Union Station. There is a starbucks near his place and quite afew different shops and supermarkets for food and internet. Overall this was a great experience and we look forward to keeping in touch with Mario in the future. LEGEND.

Thanks Eddie and Laura for the great write-up, hope your Sunday went well,my laptop problem was resolved at their store, have a good trip to the Cook islands!

  • I went to California to visit a grandson for the first time. I was traveling with my daughter who is 8 years old. I wanted to stay somewhere safe because I am not familiar with California. I got in really late and Mario was up waiting for me. I had a wonderful time and his home is very welcoming. Mario is a great host and is able to get you around and on the town with no worries. I will be coming back to California in February and I am hoping he has room for me. If you are looking for a warm host and home Mario is your guy.
