I along with my best girlfriends from college stayed at Peaceful Pines Lodge this past weekend up in Big Bear. The place was perfect for us! The location couldn't be more ideal for exploring all the best sites in Big Bear. The kitchen is great for cooking meals and we especially loved the jacuzzi. The fact that it's a stone's throw from the Big Bear Brewery was especially nice. It's exactly what you picture when you think of a cabin in this lovely town. During our stay we witnessed the start of the "Summit Fire" and Genevieve called us and offered us peace of mind that we would be safe and that if anything changed with the spread of the fire, she would offer any advice or help with evacuating. Luckily the fire was well more than 50% contained by the next day so our stay was not affected at all. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to future guests and would love to stay again!
This was such a great stay, perfect house and one of the best hosts we've had so far. Everything was very close by, inluding a small market around the corner.. we loved that the yard was fenced, perfect for pets and and a toddler. Everything we needed and wanted was there.
Excellent lodge! Very clean, well maintained, and nicely updated. Will definitely be staying here on any future visits to Big Bear.
Our experience was definitely one to remember at Big Bear Lake. Most of that great experience stems from Genevieve and Evan's lovely abode. This was the first time my family and I have ever used airbnb, nonetheless stayed at another person's place, but I am glad it was a great and easy experience. Genevieve and Evan are very quick with their responses and had a step by step plan, answering majority of the questions- which was great! The actual place itself is tucked away in a nice part of Big Bear Lake, literally within 4 minutes of driving away from the village and 0.5 miles away from the lake.
Everything and more was included at the lodge, leading to us bringing little if any utensils, pots, and pans. One amenity that I highly highly suggest is to use their steamer within their bathroom. That thing is the best thing ever, especially if you are experiencing a stuffy nose!
The only thing that I do want to point out, which we did not know prior to visiting, was the fact that when looking at the backyard there was no basketball or tetherball included. It isn't too much of a big deal, but this was something that my brother was looking forward to using. Other than that, overall we had a very nice and pleasant experience with both the lodge and the owners. Definitely go !
We loved our stay at Peaceful Pines. It was a great cabin for our young kids, 3 and 1. They loved playing in the ample yard space and we loved the cabins proximity to the Village and the Alpine Slide. My 3 year old was so sad to leave her "cabin home", and we hope to return again in the future! Thank you!
Everything was as advertised. Really nice home in very good condition. Nice open floor plan and everything made you feel at home. I would rent it again!
