We've stayed at Peaceful Pines a few times now and plan to come back again. The home is spacious with a wonderful kitchen, very comfortable king sized bed, great front patio for relaxing and watching the birds and squirrels, and a hot tub perfect for relaxing on the back patio each evening. The home is tucked away with a very private feel, however close enough to walk to the lake or the local brewery.
Genevieve is a great host, always providing great information and responds quickly to any questions or requests. Thanks again for a wonderful week for my husband and I!
For a summertime girls weekend, Peaceful Pines was a perfect choice. The house is very spacious, has an updated kitchen, and decent sized patio for outside lounging (as well as a hot tub!). It is walking distance to the lake, and to one of the Marina's in town where we rented a pontoon boat for the day. The host responded very quickly, and was very accommodating when we did come across a couple minor issues throughout the weekend. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend at Peaceful Pines Lodge, and would definitely recommend the house to anyone traveling to Big Bear!
This was our first Air bnb and it went very smoothly. Check in was super easy. We were really impressed with the house. It was very spacious and comfy, clean and tidy. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We loved the front yard. We had breakfast and lunch there everyday. We didn't use the fireplace as it was too hot but it would be lovely in the winter. My husband and son used the hot tub every day and they loved it. There were plenty of towels which is nice for those much needed showers after our dusty hikes!
This was my first experience with Airbnb, and if this experience was indicative of how all hosts are, I may never book another hotel again.
From the very beginning, Genevieve was a pleasure to communicate with. She responded to my first message within minutes with a very cheerful tone and addressing every question I had, no matter how small the detail.
Leading up to the reservation date, she reached out to me to ensure I received the very thorough and detailed manual that they have for the cabin. The manual really came in handy as it included details on the heating, hot tub, fireplace, local stores, and many other amenities at the beautiful cabin.
As great as the pictures look, the cabin is so much more impressive in person. Everything is clean and well kept, and they have done an amazing job at labeling everything to make it easy to find what you need. The kitchen has everything that a home cook would need and offers plenty of space to prepare any meal, simple or complex. The baking tray really came in handy as we made cookies multiple times over the weekend. All three bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was absolutely delightful and fit all six of us comfortably. The enclosed front and back yard were perfect for our little Yorkie Pebbles. Needless to say, we were all more than impressed by this beautiful home.
During our stay, I reached out to Genevieve for something very minor (we were looking for some rags or paper towels) and despite the fact that she was traveling herself, she still responded very quickly. There was also a binder in the living room with maps, numbers to local eateries and marinas, suggestions for entertainment, and instructions for checking out. It's more than obvious that Genevieve, Evan, and all of the folks who make this happen put a ton of thought into each and every detail. The entire experience was wonderful; from booking to checking out and the follow-up thereafter, everything was absolutely perfect.
Anyone looking to spend a few nights in Big Bear should absolutely stay here. I know we definitely will!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the July 4th weekend at Peaceful Pines Lodge. The house is very comfortable and spacious with a very nice fenced-in patio with a new bbq grill for outdoor dining. Morning coffee out there was an excellent way to start our days. We loved the master bath and used the luxurious steam shower a couple of times. We walked to the Alpine Sled and the drive in to town is very easy. The nicest feature for us is that Peaceful Pines Lodge is "dog friendly" and we loved having our furry family members with us for the weekend. There are two large, fenced-in areas for dogs. We would love to spend time there again! :)
We had an amazing time, the cabin was exactly as described and was perfect for the 4 of us and our 2 dogs. The yard is completely fenced so they are able to roam free, the location is fantastic, just a 1 mile walk from town. We will definitely be coming back and staying at the peaceful Pines cabin, it we loved every moment of it!!
