The space

Casa Raja: A quiet 2 bedroom, 2 ensuite bath paradise close enough to walk to Ubud center, but a welcome break from the hustle bustle. AND...we have stable Fiber Optic Internet - 10 mb. (If you've been to Bali before, you know how rare this is!) Perfect family vacation home, especially if you have kids!

POOL FENCE for your peace of mind.

This quiet 2 bedroom + 2 bath + private pool home is perfect for families, friends or couples who want to relax and unwind and still be able to saunter into town for yoga, culture and shopping.

Located in the much sought after neighborhood of Penestanan in Ubud with loads of great restaurants a 2 min walk away. Walking down the path that leads to your door, you'll stroll past newly planted rice fields, typical local homes and luxury villas. That's why we love this area! The mix of expat, local and visitor is so perfect.

You'll love feeling the breezes while lounging in the main open living area, a covered open air space that includes a living room, Balinese style dining room and brand new kitchen. Spend hours lounging on the comfy oversized sectional made of woven water hyacinth. You may find that you don't really want to leave the (URL HIDDEN) that relaxing.

A few key features that make Casa Raja your perfect choice for your stay in Ubud:
*Whole house water filter
*RO (reverse osmosis) drinking water at every sink (including the bathrooms)
* 10mb stable Fiber optic Internet (this is SO rare in Bali). You can stream and run your business from the comfort of Casa Raja.
*Huge Yard with trampoline, fort and organic vegetable gardens.

—Master Bedroom: this fully air-conditioned, spacious room has a four poster queen bed, an office area and a lounge area. It’s set away from the main space of the home for privacy. There is a security box to store your passports, money and other valuables.

—Master Bath: a luxurious shower with great water pressure and plenty of natural light. There is an RO drinking water faucet at the sink so you don’t have to go far for nighttime drinks of water.

—Guest Bedroom: A fun bunk arrangement of a queen bed on bottom and twin on top. Black out curtains. Great for families or couples.

—Guest Bath: dual sinks (one for children so they don’t have to use a stool), bathtub/shower combo and plenty of natural light. This bath also has a RO drinking water faucet at the children’s sink so they can get their own water.

—Living, Dining, Kitchen area is open air. From one side you look onto the pool, while the other side opens up to the expansive gardens. The full kitchen has a bar area for having snacks. There are several places to relax and unwind.

—WIFI: 20 mb Fiber Optic Internet connection. We have the fastest internet connection around! 20 mb in Bali! It’s unheard of, but working online, we were the first to secure a spot in the fiber optic cable that was recently installed.

—POOL: the pool has a UV filter, which means we only use a fraction of chlorine of a standard pool (it’s much healthier for you). Also, we have plenty of pool toys and floaties.

—POOL FENCE: there is strong, secure pool fence that slides out and can be locked in case you are traveling with children and that is of concern to you. When the pool fence is engaged, you can still access the large side yard of the property to play on the fort or trampoline.

—GARDENS: You won't feel closed in on this property. Unlike many villas, our space has a huge garden/play yard that opens to rice field views. It feels expansive! And all of it is viewable from the open air home. We have 3 green areas that surround the home. A huge side yard (which is rare in Ubud) begs children to play in the bamboo fort or jump on the trampoline.
You are welcome to any organic vegetables that are growing in the garden while you are here.

-A full, delicious breakfast for four people each day made by our family cook.
-Daily cleaning and housekeeping
-Nightly security guard

*Note for families with children: Unlike many Bali 2 bedroom homes, the enclosed bedroom areas can be locked as one house so that your little ones are not in a separate area of the home.* Also, childcare is available via our trusted nanny (of 3 years) for a minimal fee (around $4/hr).

- Eve Spa (great massages and treatments for $10/hr)
- Santai Tours (also a taxi and scooter rental shop)
- Ratna’s Laundry service

- Dream Cafe, Saraswati Indian Restaurant, a Japanese Spot with a farmer’s market 1x a week, Kue Bakery and several other local Indonesian restaurants! Most restaurants will deliver, too.

Within a 10 minute walk you can get to Intuitive Flow yoga studio and the Yellow Flower Cafe, and its just a 15 minute walk to the center of Ubud where you can find absolutely everything.

To get to the house you must walk (or ride a scooter) down a path that is about 100-150 meters from the street. There are no cars near the house and you will pass freshly planted rice fields along the way. The best place to relax and enjoy your stay in Ubud!

This area is just 5 minutes from a major supermarket (Bintang) and 5 minutes by scooter from the Monkey Forest and everything in central Ubud. The airport and the major beaches (Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Nusa Dua) are about an hour to an hour and a half away.

This place was great for traveling to Ubud with kids. Our 4 year old loved the pool, trampoline and tree fort. I can't say enough great things about the staff at the house. They were so welcoming and friendly. Great place and easy to get to anywhere in Ubud from there.

My worst experience in Airbnb so far. I booked this villa with my girlfriend and two of my friends. This place is advertised as a two bedroom villa that can accommodate 5. The master bedroom is really spacious but the second bedroom is a hallway transformed into a kid's room with two small beds designed for kids. My friend had to leave the villa the second day and find another villa since there was no privacy and he couldn't even fit in the bed. I am working with Airbnb to get a refund for my stay there since obviously this place cannot accommodate 5 people unless you are ok to have 3 people sleeping in kids beds in a hallway. Maybe this place is good for families but definitely not for couples and groups of friends. On another note, the curtains are not black out as advertised, the water pressure very very low, they didn't change our towels for 4 days. And the cherry on the top of the cake is that we forgot a shoe in the villa and they never informed us about it. Its the first time I don't give a 5 star review in Airbnb and I wish there was an option for negative stars.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Raja. It was a gorgeous villa. It was centrally located in ubud just a 15 min walk from the ubud art markets and an easy drive to any of the awesome cultural temples/sites in Ubud. Jero was incredible and organized our sunrise hike and was so warm and welcoming. We used the driver Amo very much too - definitely necessary from airport as casa raja is definitely hard to find but also wonderful for taking us on full and half day tours. We loved having the chef cook traditional Balinese food for us on evenings when we wanted to relax by the pool and not go out. It was perfect and could not recommend this place more!

This was the best AirBnB we have ever stayed in. It is better than the photos and better than they described. The staff was so welcoming and kind, the breakfast was made to our dietary needs (vegan), and the 24 hour security guard made us feel very safe! It was always clean, and we didn't even get to make use of the large property. It is in a great area and we highly recommend staying here if you are in Ubud!

We stayed at Casa Raja for five weeks and absolutely loved our time there. Sabina was a great host and replied quickly to messages. She was also very understanding and flexible. We had a change to our dates shortly after I booked and then three days before we were meant to leave for Bali, we had a death in the family. As a result, our trip was delayed by two weeks. Sabina was very accommodating, offered to help with our travel insurance and rescheduled our driver. The staff are all so lovely and really made our stay. We used both the nanny and cook almost full time. Purnama's meals were always delicious and healthy. Jero was amazing with our three kids, spending hours on the trampoline, playing legos and working on art projects with them. The house is a few minute walk from great restaurants, taxis are always available and it takes less than 15 minutes to walk into central Ubud. It's a great location. The kids loved the pool, trampoline and fort. The house was always spotlessly clean. Any issues that popped up (there will always be some in Bali) were taken care of immediately. I couldn't recommend the house enough.
