Beautiful Sonoma County 3 bedroom country home, gorgeous views, hot tub, spacious living room, fabulous kitchen in the heart of the wine country. Family friendly, fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden, eggs from our hens. 6 miles to quaint town
We live in the countryside in and around organic apple orchards and vineyards in beautiful Sonoma County. Our home has a wrap around deck, with gorgeous views. The ocean is a 17 minute drive and a trip from here to San Francisco will take one hour. Santa Rosa airport is a 30 minutes drive away.
Soak in the hot tub, visit our daughter's hens and help yourselves to what is growing in our garden and then cook up a feast in our open style kitchen while enjoying the views. We have pear, peach, apple, persimmon and apricot trees, to name a few, with a Meyer lemon tree to greet you at the front door. BBQ on the deck while sipping wine and playing "corn hole" or rural Bocce Ball or enjoy a walk down our country lane.
Our home has three bedrooms ( 2 queen beds and one double bed) with 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own access onto the deck. We also offer a queen size airbed if needed which can be set up in the music room or living room. And we have a portable crib which can be set up anywhere.
It's only a 10 minute drive to downtown Sebastopol where you'll find unique shops, a live theater and a multi-plex cinema. Sonoma County is famous for its vineyards, wineries and gourmet restaurants, all of which are close by. We're happy to recommend our favorites... The Armstrong Woods Redwood Forest is just 30 minutes away or just stay put for a perfectly peaceful getaway and a great place to meet Northern California at its finest.
This is a family friendly home filled with many books and DVD's for both children and adults. We have two kitties, Oberon and Jezamo, who love to snuggle up or we can make it so they can only go into the music room during your stay.
We'd love to hear from you if you have any questions.
Cheers, Karen and Eddie
Make yourselves at home. We have teas and coffee for you, a piano and numerous stringed instruments, DVDs galore and enough music for endless inspiration. Of course sheets, towels, soaps etc. are all included. It is your home after all.
We're close enough that we'll be here if you need us and far enough away that you'll have privacy as if it were your own home.
The town of Sebastopol is quaint, yet it has all the amenities you could ask for. Movie theatre, wineries, beer and cider brewing pubs, ice cream shops, hiking, shopping, spas, music venues, Armstrong woods, Russian River, the beach… The list is endless, but you'll find details at our home of our top picks. The hard part will be leaving the house, because once you get here you've got views, hot tub, relaxing, cooking, taking walks…. Remember, It's No Place Like Home, It's a Holiday!
Easy parking right next to our home. Car rentals available in town and at Santa Rosa Airport which is only 30 minutes away.
The house is all on one level and wheelchair accessible.
Karen and Eddie were excellent communicators and hosts. The home was clean, spacious, well-equipped, and our stay was very relaxing and pleasant. The property is a little off the beaten path, so make sure you have a driver if you are going wine tasting. It honestly felt like home for the short time we were there! Would definitely visit again!
Karen and Eddie were wonderful hosts, and their home was a gorgeous and comfortable setting for a weekend getaway for me and my friends. Eight of us slept comfortably, took advantage of their well-supplied kitchen to cook delicious meals, soaked in the hot tub, and took in beautiful views of Sebastopol and a vivid night sky from their deck. It was a wonderful experience that I look forward to repeating soon.
We love this home, property and the great energy and hearts of the hosts! I have lost track of how many times we have stayed at Karen and Eddies...it has become a home away from home, that we cherish and are so grateful for...During every season it is beautiful, spacious and inspiring. We love it and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a sanctuary retreat with family. Love. Love. Love.
Karen & Eddie are welcoming hosts. We enjoyed staying at their beautiful home in the country for a couple days R&R, and as our base for tasting our way through some great Russian River Pinots.
We hope to stay again sometime soon.
Karen and Eddie have a very lovely home and we really enjoyed our stay and cooking in their nice kitchen.
Beautiful home, and Karen was incredibly accommodating. My group of five had a very productive weekend work retreat!
Awesome place, awesome people. Karen and Eddie were incredibly responsive, understanding, friendly, and kind. We had a wonderful night playing card games, eating homemade tacos, and watching the stars.
Karen and Eddie have a stunning home tucked away in the quiet backroads of Sebastopol. They were kind enough to let a group of us stay over New Year's, and it couldn't have been more relaxing. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees and herbs, and the sun-filled rooms were comfortable and cozy. As preschool and music teachers, they have an impressive collection of instruments from around the world, which added hours of entertainment for the group. They also have two very friendly cats, who were easy to manage for those with allergies. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would love to return again someday!
Overall we were really happy with our stay. We had a great time in this house! It was a really good place to spend Christmas for our family that included a 7 months old and an 11 years old. In particular, my daughter enjoyed playing piano. The setting is really peaceful and the house has great views from the spacious deck. The house is beautiful inside and outside. Highly recommended.
I choose this house for a girls weekend of 8, and it was just the right size. The kitchen was perfect for cooking a large meal and there were persimmons and lemons from the tree outside for us to use. Karen and Eddie were very nice and welcoming. We had a wonderful time!
