The Secret Garden villa has been described as “hidden in paradise”. This elegant yet rustic villa contains all the natural features of Costa Rican fine woods, with cool tile flooring and many modern appliances and finishes. Attention to detail is definitely a priority. This two bedroom garden villa perfectly nestled among its natural surroundings carries an refreshing cross breeze through the entirety of the living area. This provides a fresh and relaxing environment for you to unwind. Whether it is to entertain family and friends or to watch a football game on the big screen TV. The custom designed wood cabinets and counter top in the kitchen create a unique and authentic Costa Rican vibe. The hand crafted river rock shower in the bathroom creates a rain forest style natural energy. This naturalistic theme is woven throughout the whole villa with local Costa Rican artwork and décor. Guests can stand in the kitchen preparing a meal whilst gazing into the surrounding gardens and at any moment open the glass doors and take a 5 second walk into the graduated swimming pool for a refreshing cool down.
The side patio of the garden villa has a private feel to it. Supported by beautiful teak beams contrasted against the continuing theme of the Costa Rican river rock walls. The grassy garden area is scattered with baby palms and banana trees providing plenty space to spread out in your hammock and relax for a morning coffee and book in your hand. This is a fantastic area to sit in the early morning and catch the sounds of the tropical birds attracted to the property.

Interaction with Guests
We have an onsite coordinator who will be happy to help you navigate our special area, we love to share of knowledge of the "locals" including the Saturday farmer's market. We are happy to share where you can see the best sunset, raft the best river and see the most animals.
We are located on a residential street, just behind the church. Our other neighbor is the water company, so it is nice and peaceful at night.
We are located just one block from the local shuttle stop. The shuttle will take you to the national park/beaches as well as the town of Quepos. We do have parking, but most of our guests do not rent cars as it is not necessary.

About the Host, Heather
Niclas, born in Sweden, felt at an early age the urge to explore the world. Traveling extensively in Europe prior to turning 20, he then took his backpack and left for Barbados and the Caribbean Islands, and continued on to Bali and Indonesia for months at a time. A few years later he got a job in the music industry, working for the legendary rock band Metallica, which made him move to the band's home base of San Francisco. Working closely with the band during their concert tours, introduced him to every part of the world; the perfect combination for his passion for Travel & Music. After 10 years of traveling all over the world, he decided to retire from touring and focus on family life. After a visit to Costa Rica, he felt Costa Rica was the perfect place to move to. "It almost felt like Sweden in that it was very safe, with wonderful people, a great place for children to grow up in. But unlike Sweden, there is no cold dark winter to endure." It became obvious that he had finally found his "endless summer", where he could surf everyday and enjoy the relaxed pace of life that the Costa Ricans are so famous for.
