The house was in a GREAT location, close off the freeway, but very private/quiet/in a natural setting. We loved walks around the neighborhood. The house was great - clean, great lighting, comfy beds, fully functional and stocked kitchen. Marky was a GREAT host! Highly recommend this place.
A beautiful house in a beutiful neighbourhood, we were comfortable and couldnt have asked for more!! Ty!
Great house, very convenient, lot of space, nice area and nice view, close to SFO via HW280, 15 min from airport. Our children have enjoyed it very much (3, 8, 10 yr old). We recommend it 100% !

The place was spacious and very inviting. The house had all the amenities that is needed. Marky and Gonzalo have been great on answering questions and helping us settle in. They really made our stay very comfortable. The place felt more welcoming than having 3 separate hotel rooms. The neighborhood is very quiet and sitting on the patio at night was very private and relaxing. Thanks Marky and Gonzalo!
We had eight people, four children and four adults.
Pros - The house is well kept, there is lots of common space. It is airy and open and a classic Eichler home. The neighborhood is quite and despite being up the street from an elementary school, the location is quite private. The neighborhood is nice and very close to downtown San Mateo. There is a nice supermarket and produce store just down the hill. Marky and his assistant were very helpful. The hot tub is nice and plan on an hour and a half to warm up from cold. The small galley kitchen is well stocked and the equipment is very nice including the convection/microwave. Overall we had a very nice stay.
Cons - As mentioned in the reviews, the open house design can get loud - especially for the loft bedroom. It was particularly cold when we were there and the radiant floor heat was inadequate for the upper loft are. The lower bedrooms were fine. The downstairs shower was particularly challenging to keep the water from the floors, put a towel down to block the water solves the problem. Note that the owner lives in the unit below (also for rent, but we didn't rent) - not that this is a problem, but we heard sounds before we realized that he lives there if the loft room isn't also rented.
