  • Wowzers the space was exactly as pictured! Amazing building and amenities, minimalist art deco chic decor, gorge custom lightening, a Central Park view and more! Our gracious hosts were very accommodating and responsive during our stay. The community is awesome and exit is literally footsteps from Wholefoods, Crumbs Bakery, and more. This apartment and all its perks makes it a gem!!!

  • Great apartment - clean lines, clean linens, clean everything, view of Central Park, right across the street from Whole Foods and upstairs from Crumb Bakery which has amazing cupcakes. A block off the park and a block from the subway. A bit farther north than I have stayed before but we really enjoyed the upper west side neighborhood and the hosts could not have been nicer! Really great place and they have taken a lot of care to make stays comfortable, easy and high end. So much better than a hotel!

  • Great spot and Johno and Ron were great hosts. They check you in and let you get on with your holiday and if you need to know anything you can reach them. Having previously lived in NYC we didnt need much help. The apartment is very spacious with 2 full bedrooms located at opposite ends of each other so even 2 couples could rent it. It is located right across the street from WholeFoods which is great when you arrive and you can quickly stock up. We travelled with our toddler daughter so we needed milk as soon as we got in. A quick tip though is to check EVERY single cupboard for what is already there before going to buy - we didn't do that and ended up buying things like paper towels which they had 8 reams of! Tons of linen in the apartment which is great for long stays like ours which was 10 days.
There is also a sports shop and a pharmacy right next door, the latter was helpful as we all got coughs because of the cold temperatures. Central Park is right around the back of the apartment, again makes for great walks without having to take cabs inbetween. The only downfall of the apartment's location when it comes to taking cabs and needing to get dropped off at the entrance - Columbus is south facing so everytime they have to cross it and go around up to 100th street and then come back down. The closest corner is 97th but if you are carrying a lot of stuff or pushing a baby in a stroller in freezing temperatures it becomes a bit of a distance - this is neither here nor there though so would still book the apartment but just an FYI.
Lastly, the hosts were very flexible - we managed to misplace one of the three sets of keys that they gave us and they were not phased and told us it was ok. They also allowed for a Xmas tree to be delivered to the apartment 3 days before we arrived and also coordinated the removal of the tree after we left - a much appreciated gesture as they did not have to do this!

  • We stayed 5 nights at Johnos beautiful appartement and everything was perfect. We are two couples and there was more than enough space for us. The view is gorgeous and the appartement looks exactly like on the pictures or even more beautiful. Johno and Dan were really great hosts. They answered to all our questions and were really nice. The location of the appartement is perfect. The neighborhood is really nice and there is a whole foods (we really loved it) and a subway station really close. So we can totally recommend this place and we hope we can come back.

  • Three of us stayed at Johno's apartment on business, for a weekend in New York. I have to say that his place is pretty much perfect, great location, fabulous views of Central Park, and lovely hospitality from Johno himself.

The apartment was exactly as described, probably even better, spotlessly clean, lovely bathrooms, and super comfortable beds. All the latest tech too, from WiFi to AppleTV, Coffee Machine and some of the best speakers I've heard in a long while.

I would 100% recommend staying here, and will be back on my next trip to New York, lets just hope it doesn't get too popular!

  • We love the apartment! Johno is an excellent host. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. The location is great, only one block from the subway and Central Park and across the street from Whole Foods. The building is very nice too, not so easy to find in NYC. The apartment is just as you see in the pictures, very nice, with great views and equipped with everything you need during the stay in the city. We will definitely come again and recommend to friends.

  • My first stay ever using Airbnb was @ Johno"s apartment in the upper westside. I spent one night, went with a colleague for business and our experience was excellent. The pictures are not even enough, the apartment is great and immaculate. They checked us in and provided all information and explain how to use apple tv, cordless speakers, wifi, etc. This place is great!

  • WOW! What an amazing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Johno's magnificent apartment. From the moment we walked in we felt right at home. The apartment is meticulously clean, well stocked with everything you could possibly need and styled to perfection - I could not possibly fault it. The Central Park views and location are spectacular. We will definitely be back.

  • The view is probably the best part of the appartment. Having breakfast while enjoying the amazing view is something I absolutely won't forget. The beautiful appartment is located very well. Subway is nearby, wholefoods, ATM, Starbucks all in the same block! The appartment is super clean, sufficient towels, etc, which is really nice. We stayed with a family of six and this wasn't a problem at all, enough bathrooms and space. Also having a washer and a dryer was very useful. I wouldn't recommend the sleeping couch for people of higher age, but for me and my cousin (we're 26, 27) it was fine. Definitely a great place to stay when in NYC. You'll feel at home! - Also Johno is excellent in communications and a good host. We had the feeling we could ask him anything and he would always respond fast. Thanks for a great stay! Highly recommended.

  • This is an absolutely gorgeous apartment and I will definitely be back. I've stayed in quite a few high-end New York City hotels, but this apartment is my new favorite city destination. Everything is brand new and the owners didn't miss a detail in the design elements. It was impeccably clean and very comfortable. And the location is wonderful - waking up to an arial view of Central Park is a truly unique New York City experience. I highly recommend it!
