We loved our stay . The space is as interesting and beautiful as the photos suggest . Patrick was a wonderful host and we'd highly recommend the space and Patrick to future guest .
What an awesome place to stay!!! It was huge, unique, comfortable and such a conversation started for friends that visited.
I was greeted by Patrick's assistant Dwight who showed me around this fantastic art filled home. Dwight was gracious & helpful in getting me settled and made sure I had everything I needed. He even drove me around the neighborhood to show me what was near; bars to hang out at and restaurants to try.
The neighborhood was quiet and a great escape from the touristy French Quarter.
Public transportation was close and easy to navigate around the City; 15 minutes to the French Quarter.
I've decided I will be staying here every year I visit New Orleans.
Thank you for sharing your home with me
Stayed here sight unseen......was stunned and humbled by how
Much love and fun was put into Patricks place.....he met me and gave me the 10 cent tour....I didn't want it to stop.....I'm planing more trips to New Orleans just so I can stay with him....look no further, if u want a true blue New Orleans experience.....from a real New Orleans artist. Then stay HERE.....it's now one of my fondest memories of New Orleans
Great space, helpful host, good experience all around!
What a perfectly fantastic time we had renting Robert's place over the holidays. A true artistic gem nestled conveniently in the heart of Mid-city and Bayou St John. Convenient to everything! We entertained several times over the holidays while staying here and everyone just loved it. Robert truly made it easy for us to have a New Orleans Holiday Season just like we lived here. Fantastic host, attentive to every detail! If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind experience while visiting New Orleans, look no further...you've found it here at the Sinclair Station with Robert as your host!
The Sinclair Gas Station more than lives up to the images and description posted by Mr. Guthrie. It is, in fact an immensely livable urban space that also happens to house an astonishing variety of vintage items and original works of art. Our family enjoyed the gas station as a party venue, staging area for floral arrangements that we made for a family wedding, and restful accommodations for two adult couples. To a person, our guests and we ourselves LOVED the opportunity to relax, dine, and visit with each other at the Sinclair.
What an amazing weekend at "the gas station." This was a surprise for my husband's 30th birthday and it was truly incredible. Robert and Dwight were super helpful in all of the pre-planning and gave us a ton of information upon arrival. The place is exactly as pictured online and Robert's attention to detail was very noticeable throughout. We loved the neighborhood and walked to the local coffee place, wine store, delicious po boy spot, etc. Because we are New Yorkers who love to walk, we were also able to walk to the French Quarter a few times, so it ended up being pretty convenient and the opposite of touristy. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a truly unique experience in New Orleans. Thanks Robert! We loved it.
Robert was a fantastic host. The place was super cool with lots of space and all the amenities I needed. My flight was delayed 4 hours and Robert kept making accommodations to ensure my arrival would run smoothly. Great place and great guy...I hope to go back again soon.
I hate to do this to myself, but this place is INCREDIBLY EPIC.
Robert was a fantastic host and the neighborhood is great.
We loved the local bar, PAL'S and you are around the corner from one of the best po boys in town.
In short, stay here if you want to have a good time.
Note, that this is a big space with no walls (Except the two bathrooms).
Robert's house is awesome! One of kind, clean and comfortable. Robert is a super accommodating host, with tips for ways to enjoy his home town to the fullest. We didn't want to leave - and hope to return soon!
