  • We stayed 5 days with Birgith at the houseboat. She was very sweet and helpful. The area is a little distant from town, but I guess it´s amazing in summer!

  • We had a really nice stay on the houseboat. The busstop to the city is just nearby. It's also very advisable to rent a bike. You can reach the center of Kopenhagen whitin a few minutes.
You feel directly like home on the boat ! You can use everything on the boat (kitchen, etc.). Birgit is very friendly, you can always contact here if you need something. There is a dishwasher, a refridgerator etc..
We had a great stay at the boat!

  • Well, our stay on the houseboat (Martha) was just as perfect as we imagined to be. You have really everything there you need including a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room, a lot of sunlight through the many large windows, small terrace at the front and at the back plus another living room and bedroom downstairs. The water seemed to be very clean so in the summer you can even swim. The bed is very comfortable and large enough. Birgit is a perfect host, the bacon and eggs that we got in the fridge as a "welcome pack" was enough for us two for three days for the breakfast. The location might be a bit strange for the first sight, but you do get used to it immediately. Be sure to rent a bike at Baisikeli (a good 20 minutes walk) as soon as you can and then it would not take you more than 15 to 20 minutes to downtown. If you have a bike, everything is just around the corner and it is really healthy to bike around. Birgit would give you all the information you need, so hop on, Copenhagen definitely worths a visit and this charming old but really nicely renovated houseboat is a perfect place to stay if you do not want just a usual apartment or even worse, a hotel room. Thank you Birgit for everything again, we really enjoyed our stay on Martha.

  • Great place to stay if you want to see a non-touristy part of Copenhagen. Birgit was a very helpful host and quick to respond. Quite a long walk into central Copenhagen but not a problem on a bike!

  • Birgit's houseboat was the highlight of a wonderful trip. We stayed there for 7 nights, and I wish we'd had more time.
The boat is exactly as described - bright, open, clean, airy.
Birgit provided us with a "starter kit" of food, including milk, bread, cheese, eggs, bacon. There was also coffee and tea. It was great to have food that first day. The Copenhagen Harbour is at the south end of the city, and we rented 4 bicycles for the duration of our stay, It took us about 20 minutes on the bikes to get to the boat from anywhere we visited in the city.

  • Wonderful experience that we'll remind forever! waking up on the boat and swimming around it before breakfast was really pleasant and peaceful! Combine with a Bike rental it´s a perfect opportunity to visit cph in another way. Birgit has been so kind and helpful until the very last minute! I forgot my sun hat, she even delivered it in town, my husband had a flat tyre she drove him at the bike rental... with so many smiles that you can't forget! Thank you so much Birgit! We'd love to come back!

  • It was really a pleasure to be Birgit´s guests! We enjoyed her warm hospitality and had a very nice summer week at the house boat. The bus stop just nearby was very comfortable. Be aware that the location is not easy to find.

  • We stayed 1 week at Birgits houseboat! And we really enjoyed it! The boat is a great place to relax and in about 10 to 15 minutes you are in the city centre by bus! Birgit even gave us some special tipps to visit which you don't find in a travel guide! To cut a long story short, we strongly recommend Birgits place when you plan to visit Copenhagen!
