To us this is the real Italy. It is far from the crowds of tourists found in the more publicized areas and we were able to get a real feel for life in rural Italy. Luisa completely spoiled us while we were there and we were able to join her for a fabulous Italian lunch. Dino showed us around a nearby sheep farm and we had a great time chatting to the shepherd.
The rooms were beautifully clean and everything worked well.
Even a forest nearby to enjoy a stroll.
Hope we can return to Arcobaleno one day.
Luisa and Dino were the most magnificent hosts. Not only did they invite me into their private home for scrumptious Italian meals, they took me on private tours of the local Italian countryside! They also made sure that I made it into Rome for day visits on the train by helping me buy the correct tickets and fetching me at the station each time. Their B&B is a start-up operation in it's early stages; a little away from everything, which is what I was looking for during my travels. I would recommend anyone staying at their B&B rent a car; fortunately for me the hosts saw to it that I got around without a car, but it must have been a burden. We actually became lifelong friends and hope to one day host them in my San Francisco home! Love you, Luisa and Dino! and, grazie mille, from the bottom of my heart.
