Very nice flat, cosy and confortable. Be carefull as theexact adress is not the one that appears on Airb&b. It's still in Dorsoduro and still very nice location above a small and calm canal .
A problem with the wifi connection, the ipad ask for a user name and we only have the user key. but not so far there is a restaurant wher no user name is requested to get (website hidden)és joli et confortable appartement; l'adresse indiquée sur le site n'est pas celle de l'appartement, il est donc situé toujours dans Dorsoduro mais plus loin du centre et de la place saint marc .
What an amazing stay in Venice, location perfect & out of the tourist crush. We were met by an English speaking lady who showed us everything we needed to know. WIFI a little difficult , only one spot in living room.
Would recommend this apartment as you can walk to all the major destinations.

Our stay at Venice Apartment Dorsoduro was really enjoyable. The apartment is as you see it in the photos. Clean, tidy, and very comfortable. The location beside one of the quieter canals is about 10 minutes walk from St Marks Square. We loved the location as it was far enough away from the really built up tourist areas but still close enough to lots of cafes, coffee bars, water bus stops and attractions. We were meet at the water bus stop and walked to the apartment which is great after a long day travelling. The apartment doesn't have a washing machine but it does have a lovely lady who takes your washing and cleans and dries it for you which was very convenient.
If you want a quiet, comfortable place on Venice island a short distance away from congested tourist locations then this is a great place to stay.
This place was beautiful! Great location! Not busy area and the host was very helpful! Loved the apartment and the view of the canal out the window! Great restaurants near and a grocery store close! Highly recommend this place and location!
This is an excellent apartment in Dorsoduro - out of the mainstream of tourist traffic but within easy walking distance of the main destinations. Everything was as advertised and everything worked. We were very happy with every aspect of our two week stay.
All in all, a lovely apartment, very good quality finishings and very clean. The location was excellent for our purposes - we wanted something away from the madding crowds with good restaurants and a more authentic, local experience. There is a great wine shop just over the bridge - €2.20 for a litre of pretty reasonable pinot grigio!
Point to note on the apartment: Irene is less of a 'host' and more of a property manager with (by our understanding) about 100 properties to manage. So if you're after the experience of renting someone's home with a great attention to detail and pride in the apartment and area, you wont get it here. Having said that, our greeter, Giamba, IS local and was lovely. He told us about the wine store and other local points of note. He's a musician and told us of a local gig he was doing that night. If we didn't have a little one, we might have gone along. Information and communication about apartment facilities wasn't great though. The listing says there is a washer/dryer there and a previous review alerted me to the fact that it wasn't in the apartment but downstairs, so I was ready for the discussion with Giamba. He said there weren't any washing facilities, but when I pressed him, he called Irene who said there's a FREE laundering service. We were a bit sceptical to say the least about putting a whole stack of washing outside our front door with no discussion with anyone. But we did anyway (we were desperate, having paced our clothing until we arrived at the apartment) and miraculously, it turned up 24 hours later all washed and neatly folded.
Another point to note is this clearly isn't someone's apartment, as there's not much in the kitchen - no oven, wine glasses, and not a heap of cooking equipment. But enough for us, as it was only two nights.
All in all, I would recommend this apartment - very clean and quiet, with enough space for 2 adults and one child - but bear in mind the communication challenges.
We had a great experience! We really appreciated being met at the vaporetta stop and being shown to the apartment. Irene's representative was helpful and gave us many recommendations and suggestions. The Wifi wasn't working properly when we first got there, but it was promptly fixed. The location was great and the apartment was spacious and beautiful, and the view over the canal was priceless.
Irene's property is really lovely. The fixtures, fittings and furnishings are all of high quality and a lot of thought has gone into the look of the place. The locations of the apartment is also really special. Conveniently located next to a major waterbus stop, it's also within minutes walking distance from campo Santa Margherita, where you'll find some lovely restaurants and cafes. Whilst we didn't meet Irene face-to-face, she sent someone to meet collect us at the waterbus stop who was very helpful and informative. Arrangements were very easy to make with Irene prior to arriving too. The only slight problem for us was the weakness of the wifi signal in the apartment, which made it hard when we needed to deal with future bookings and travel, but we found a spot in the lounge where it was strongest and really, stuck to that spot when we needed to. As I've said though, this was a very small issue and we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little apartment. We would definitely stay here again.
The place is in a wonderful location that's convenient and easily accessible by the canals. I greatly enjoyed the unit as it is incredibly spacious and clean. I'd certainly recommend it to others who will be visiting Venice in the near future.
