Ok hotel. If you need a place near the airport it's fine. We needed to be at the airport at 5.30AM. Too early for breakfast, but the host went out to get us some fresh fruit, so that was sweet. They didn't know we were coming. That was strange. Room is kind of clean, had no windows, only air vents through which we got a lot of mosquitoes. They gave us a wake up call and arranged a taxi.
It's a business guesthouse. I went there with my partner because it was near the airport and I felt it looked nice to get some rest after a very long flight (+++40 hrs). We felt that the place wasn't nice as in the pictures, rather basic than luxury. They advertise them as an "hotel and spa", but when we arrived we noticed the "Anika guesthouse and cooking school" title. Most people there hardly speak English, or very basic English. When we arrived, we were exhausted (40 hrs +++ flight). The welcome was quite cold, I think because the woman who welcomed us barely speaks English. The room was OK, but much noisy (traffic closeby and much talking in the guesthouse), even very late at night (thin walls), and we didn't enjoy the bathroom. The toilet hardly flushes (don't put toilet paper in it as in many places in Asia I suppose... but no notice to do so). No shower curtain and very low shower (not convenient for a tall person as I am), but luckily hot water. The breakfast was not included with Airbnb and the choice is very basic : mainly 2 options (indonesian - rice or noodles - or american), with very few veggies and fruits in both. When I ordered a special breakfast on the 2nd day (I needed some fruits/veggies!!!), I felt I was disturbing them. I found it strange for a guesthouse that provide cooking classes not to have so many choices of food. The coffee is not good there (1/4 is kind of "paste" in the bottom of the little cup provided). The food tastes OK, average overall. No lunch and no dinner served there and limited choices of restaurants nearby (by foot), one restaurant actually. There's not many things to see / shops / activities nearby. If you're after a bit of luxury or want a quiet place, this is not a place to go. If you're on a budget, and look for a room near the airport, maybe it can be not so bad for 1 night.
If you need to stay around the airport is a great location!, the place was clean, the bed was comfortable; the only problem was the WiFi very slow and very difficult to connect to. Good breakfast and nice staff.
Not bad for transit or overnighter. Close to the airport and quick response. Nice spa and friendly staff. Room was clean and bed comfy. Not a great shower though - cold and no pressure which I thought was poor particularly for an airport hotel. If they improve this the hotel would be great.
This place is conveniently located near the airport, the bed is comfortable and the pool and dining area were quite nice, but overall I was disappointed. The wifi in half the building didn't work, while the person working refused to try to help me book my ferry to the gili islands. I booked it myself, costing me around 10e in roaming fees on my phone, when even the smallest bit of help in overcoming the language barrier or letting me use a phone would have made a huge difference.
