When visiting the mountains in the Asheville NC area, you may not be able to stay at the Biltmore, but you can rent this renovated seven-bedroom/six-bathroom mansion built by the Biltmore's supervising resident and completing architect, Richard Sharp Smith. A short walk from charming, walkable Marshall, NC on the French Broad River with its cafes, restaurants, shops and brewery, and only 25-minutes from downtown Asheville, the Marshall House Inn is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The space
Up to 20 guests can stay on property (based on two guests per bed as there are 6 King beds, 2 queen beds, a full size pullout sofa and a queen size pullout sofa). Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, you will be a short drive from the music of Asheville, the Appalachian Trail and the Great Smokies.

With a living room on the ground floor and the second floor, dining tables to accommodate 16 guests (a main dining room table for eight which is open to another two tables, each seating four, in the adjacent living spaces), a game room, fire pit, and 7 bedrooms/6 bathrooms, there are enough spaces for your large group to both come together and spread out as desired.

The Marshall House Inn is conveniently located between Asheville and Hot Springs in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains. Whether you want to take in the breweries, galleries or shops of Asheville, visit the Biltmore House, spend time outdoors or just relax, you’ll not find a better location from which to start. With over 55,000 acres of National forest you’ll find lots of opportunities for whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, biking and zip lining. Or just a short walk down Hill Street you'll find cafes, restaurants breweries and shops to entertain.

If you would like to hang out around the house, there's plenty to do between the many books to read on the long covered patio overlooking downtown Marshall and the French Broad River, enjoying the 65" Samsung smart TV, games and a poker setup in the cozy second floor living room, cooking on the six-burner gas stove or on the the outdoor charcoal or gas grill, roasting s'mores by the fire pit or playing a game of ping pong, skee-ball or giant jenga (there's another TV here as well). We hope to host you and your group soon!

I'm a Cornell Hotel School graduate with nearly 20 years of experience in hotel operations, catering and events. I live in Weaverville, NC with my husband, Australian Shephard and our cat. We recently purchased the magnificent Marshall House Inn and I am looking forward to inviting guests to enjoy this fabulous historic home that has been renovated with all of the modern comforts. The property was being run as a bed and breakfast and we have now converted the home to a full property rental. The property is also permitted to host events and I would be happy to discuss hosting your wedding or event, send me a message if you would like to discuss!
