Chinatown is amazing! You can walk everywhere and if you get tired of that there are a multitude of Public transportation options. Direct access to local & foreign food and all attractions.
The MRT is located just outside the apartment, as is a taxi stand and bus station. Besides all that, you can walk almost everywhere!
Please make sure the front door is latched upon entering and exit.
Turn off your AC when not using! - Save the dolphins. :)
Pros: excellent location just beside Chinatown subway station, clean apartment, good value for money, key handover well organised, comfortable bed, own fridge inside the room, air-condition not too noisy
Cons: Apartment is on 22nd floor but elevator only stops every five floors, if you have a lot of luggage (as I had) you need to carry it either downstairs or upstairs a couple of floors, the toilet/shower is tiny and it's difficult to take shower without making everything wet including toilet paper and your own towel.
All in all: GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
A very convenient place. We didn't manage to meet Sarah as she not stay at home. But she email us a very detailed welcome message include how to get there, good food near her house and a lot famous places. The room is smaller than i imagin and the toilet too. But overall we r satisfy with staying. Thanks Sarah.
This was my 1st stay with Airbnb (during this trip I am now on my 3rd). She does not live there so didn't meet Sarah, but had to contact her a few times for some "issues" She was very friendly and took care of the issues except fixing the hotplate that didn't work after my 1st day...but the microwave worked for hot water. The place is the BEST LOCATION for convenience and easy and quick to get ANYWHERE! I felt the room was my own little retreat and enjoyed it immensely. The building is old and the cleanliness is not the best, but my room was fine...hard to keep bathrooms clean when you have 2 for 5 rooms, but I would defiantly recommend Sarah and this place!!!
this was our second time staying at sarah's place. two years ago, we were going to stay in the room we stayed in this time, but it wasnt open. we stayed in a smaller room number 3, which was a bit too small for two people and their bags.
this time, we got the corner room, number two and it was a perfect match. as always, sarah runs a smooth operation. we did not meet her this time, but she sent us all the info and instructions necessary to get there and have a great stay.
the place is centrally located in chinatown, just above the metro, food court and dept store. its clean and quiet. i hope sarah will still be renting rooms the next time we get to se asia.
The room was similar to the description, no big surprises. Indeed the bathroom is shared and tiny (Asian style with shower that wets everything around). The instructions sent by email before we arrived were very detailed and we found the place without any problems. I wouldn't say that the place was spotless, but it was ok. The only thing I would recommend is to bring ear plugs, as the noise outside (single glaze windows) is constant...

Greetings from Singapore! I am an American who has been living in Singapore for over a year. I have travelled and lived extensively throughout Europe & SE Asia and love to hear others stories and dream on my next adventure as well! We have been very fortunate to find an apartment in the center of where everything goes on and are lucky to have space to share in a country quite tiny!
I love travel and love staying at places that feel like home. I am a very easy going host and willing to work with you in anyway that I can to make your travel/stay at my places easier. I love outdoors & nature, scuba diving, as well as the city life with checking out new restaurants and cocktail bars.
