  • All good. All Sarah's info in the welcome pack very useful. Great location and great views. Bedroom very nice - bathroom a bit too cramped for my liking and slightly odd knowing there are other people staying in the apartment that you don't ever see! But overall no complaints.

  • Fantastic location. Liked having the washing machine, fridge etc. Very basic facilities but fine if all you need is a bed for the night.
Other guests friendly, quiet and kept to themselves.
I don't think Sarah lives here but she was very fast at responding to all inquiries and was very courteous. Greet intro/welcome pack.
Wifi worked well. Loved the food downstairs and being on the train line.
I would stay again based on location.

  • Sarah's place was in a fantastic location and perfect for what I needed - some place cheap and cheerful to hang my hat for a couple days. Slightly strange to enter an apartment building from s Chinese shopping complex but it is a unique and real Singapore experience in the end! The place is homey and rustic but was great value for money. All in all a great experience and I would stay there again.

  • The place was covered in ants. By the time I left both I and my stuff was covered in them. If you don't mind the ants then the place is fine. The wifi was pretty slow, but the room had some space.

    Response from Sarah:

Hi Andrew, Thanks for the feedback. The helper comes every few days to clean, so I'm sorry you had problems with ants.... could you help tell me where they are more clearly as I've only ever seen a few and months apart - usually it's weather related as surprising as that may sound. Was there something you saw that the ants were drawn to? Anything possibly in or on your bag? I'm very sorry to hear the ants were an issue for you. Next time please let your host know immediately if something is bothering you so they can fix it and you can enjoy your stay!

The apartment has fiber optic internet so it shouldn't have been any slower than the standard slowness of Singapore internet.

  • We felt absolutely safe and comfortable during our stay at Sarah's. Its accessible from singapore's main sights and has a lot of food option in the vicinity.

Don't expect a hotel type of room. Its basic but good enough for short stay to explore singapore.

  • Sarah's place was great. The instructions very clear and you get to live the true China experience. Great location. While it's not a 5-star hotel, the bed is very comfy and has all you need - TV, air con, etc.
Sarah was always in contact and went the extra mile.

  • The upsides were that room was clean, had a refrigerator and a comfortable bed. The location of the apartment was excellent for getting anywhere. The downsides were the folding plastic doors on the bathrooms and the fact that they weren't the cleanest, but very decent anyway. There are 5 rooms in occupancy in the apartment so there are many people there.

About the host, I never met Sarah, but her check in email was very detailed and I had no trouble getting to the place and in it with her instructions. The only problem was she gave me the wrong room number initially which caused me to think there was still someone there 2 hours after check in, when I emailed her to ask if that was the right room she told me again that it was my room. It was only when I came back at around 7 pm and talked to her room mate Angie who turned out to have been staying for a while in the room Sarah assigned me. Her room mate showed me to the room that was prepared for me to stay in which had been empty all day. Sarah never responded when I told her of her mistake.

I'd say if location is your top priority want a good place for taking the MRT and walking to Clark Quay, go for this place. If you want a comfortable place with privacy, this would not be ideal.

    Response from Sarah:

    Hey Andrea,
So sorry about the room confusion! Glad that everything got sorted out ok. I had emailed you back twice right away when I received your mail so I'm sorry to hear you never received them! Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay regardless!

  • Good location. Clean and spacious room. Also have the ability to wash and dry clothes and the small kitchen was a nice to have. I would recommend staying here.

  • Nice place! Small room but comfortable.
The smallest bathroom I've ever seen, but it was okay!
Very strategic place, just less than 5 minute from MRT.
Tons of food in nearby area.

A very Recommended place for travellers!

  • I had a nice short stay at Sarah's flat. The instructions she gives are really detailed, so you can find the place and let yourself in even if no one is home. The location is great - right above the MRT station, you can get to most places of interest easily in 10-15 minutes. It was my first time in Singapore and a great place for exploring!

The room was clean and the aircon and TV worked well. There are other people staying in the other bedrooms (with shared bathroom), but each door locks with a key, so all your belongings are secure and you have privacy.

Greetings from Singapore! I am an American who has been living in Singapore for over a year. I have travelled and lived extensively throughout Europe & SE Asia and love to hear others stories and dream on my next adventure as well! We have been very fortunate to find an apartment in the center of where everything goes on and are lucky to have space to share in a country quite tiny! I love travel and love staying at places that feel like home. I am a very easy going host and willing to work with you in anyway that I can to make your travel/stay at my places easier. I love outdoors & nature, scuba diving, as well as the city life with checking out new restaurants and cocktail bars.
