Great experience. Host was very accommodating and spoke great English. The apartment was clean and as described. Would stay again!
Fantastic place — Nanou has create taste and poetic style. Apartment is large enough for all needs, for one and indeed up to four. There was a complaint I read in one of the reviews about the sound of trains. Honestly, you hardly hear them. In fact it was meditative the periodic gentle passing...the railway line is way down below, actually picturesque and wonderful — no need whatsoever for melatonin and an eye mask. Slept like a baby. Also, the apartment was clean as can be upon arrival. Again, loveliest of places. And YES, location location location — perfect location to be in Paris...even a lovely pasty shop 10 meters from the front door. BTW, Nanou is fantastic. While we never physically met, she left the key perfectly under the door mat, answered my one one question about internet immediately via AirBnB message and was gracefully understanding of the late arrival. Again, all perfect. Will definitely stay here again.
Bien recu on a meme fait attendre le papa de nanou tres gentil, appart propre et tres fonctionnel. Un tout petit bemole : un micro onde serai plus pratique pour les tres court sejour mais sans plus. On reviendra avec grand plaisir.merci nanou
Nanou was a great host, and the location of the flat was great. The place is charming and full of character. We had a great stay. Thanks!
The good news first -- the location and neighborhood are both top notch. Great restaurants and walking distance to parc Monceau, a very elegant Parisian area with few tourists. The views are very open but look onto the railroad tracks -- more on that later. The place is equipped at a basic level but works fine.
The bad news, I was welcomed by a fierce odor when I checked in. I finally realized it was lingering body odor so relentless that it took me three days of incense, candles, air freshener and open windows to clear the air. It was dirty, with smears on the walls and pilled sheets with a couple of hairs. It was messy with piles of pillows and comforters that appeared less than fresh. I changed the linens to a cleaner set and wiped down all surfaces, then stored the umpteen cushions in the closet. I planted some new plants in the cigarette filled pots hanging off the railing too in an attempt to bring a little more beauty to the place.
The train is loud, so not the best environment for sleeping, but with closed windows, melatonin and an eye mask I did okay. Earplugs are a good idea.
In the bathroom, The towels had a mildewy odor, the toilet plunger was in the shower and the bucket and mop leaning on one wall. Not the nicest feeling.
It short, this is a college level crash pad, in which you can sleep four, in a great neighborhood. You can find much better for the price if you have some lead time. I booked very last minute in high season and that is my own fault.
The most egregious issue for me is that comes up as having air conditioning when you filter for such. It was the number one reason I chose this apartment with the summer heat in Paris. There is a fan, and that is NOT the same thing. Yes in the small print it does say that, however the AC symbol needs to removed absolutely as it is false advertising.
On another note, the new tenants arrived at 10:45 with baggage in tow. Luckily I was already packed and had cleaned the place. It was awkward and it appeared they would be inheriting my used towels and linens. I got a ton of bites during my 4 night stay. Hopefully they were just mosquitoes and not dreaded bed bugs.
It's a lot bit noisy in evening.but the transport is so company.and it easy for u to find supermarket and restaurant.
