South Melbourne is one of the most charming inner city areas of Melbourne, full of boutique shops and restaurants. Supermarket is 5 minutes away. If you walk any direction for 2 minutes, you will reach a tram stop that will take you to almost anywhere in inner Melbourne. Albert Park is right across the road, while Royal Botanic Gardens and Eureka Tower are both closeby. Also nearby are Melbourne Cricket Ground and Etihad Stadium.
Very good tram connection takes you to the city and beach within 10 minutes.

We had a great stay with Dina. Dina actually changed our booking so we did not stay in the guest house, instead she arranged for us to stay in a three bedroom apartment as the were 7 of us. She was incredibly helpful throughout the process.
We stayed on Southbank the apartment was great, pool needs cleaning but otherwise fantastic. Location brilliant as we were down for the tennis and it (email hidden)ly walk along the Southbank.
This guesthouse is perfect for travelling in larger groups of friends or family. Rooms are clean and all have their own bathrooms. Every single room also had their own lock which made it feel safer at night and leaving your belongings during the day.
Relatively close to the CBD, it was never hard to get back home. With a fully furnished kitchen, it was easy to cook our own meals.
Place was as described. Rooms and toilet are clean. Convenient travelling to the city as trams are just a short distance walk away. Dina and Karen are both very helpful when we needed assistance and travelling tips. Room could be a little cold during the cold and rainy days. In short, great value for money!!! Great for couples or friends travelling in small groups!!
Very nice!! South Melbourne is a great place to stay, close to supermarket and tram station, there are many great restaurant in Clarendon St..(highly recommend ''Grilled'' Burger! )
Having a relaxing time in Albert Park is wonderful, many beautiful black swans right there.
The accommodation was exactly as described and suited my purposes perfectly. The room was spotless.
I'm a regular visitor to Melbourne and mostly stayed in the City. I really enjoyed heading out of the city this time to South Melbourne which is a great suburb that I'd previously missed. Trams were extremely convenient but I walked as it was such a beautiful stroll.
