Just off San Polo square and 10 mins. from Rialto Bridge, enjoying a private garden with tennis court, the apartment is a weel kept jewel in the heart of Venice.
Escape into bliss and return to this elegant second floor apartment of the villa which has an independet entrance.
Here you have your own tennis court! Borrow a racket, or watch others from the jasmine-covered bandstand in the garden. Francesca’s parents live on the ground floor and share both court and garden. There are chairs and a table, roses and hydrangeas.
Close by is the Frari Church (known as Tiziano’s church) and the area is beautifully quiet, with – for Venice – a rare feeling of space.
It’s very central here, yet quiet. The street leads to San Stae vaporetto stop so there’s no through traffic, and the Rialto is only 7 minutes away.
This well-restored apartment is elegant yet cosy and you have a window with bustling San Boldo square and canal views.
This 100 sqm apartment is on second floor of the building (34 steps, no lift) and has two sweet twin/double – the main has a superb view on the canal and the second is cozy and very comfortable with a skylight – and 2 bathrooms, one with combo tub and shower and another with the shower.
The sitting room enjoys a superb view on the garden with the tennis court and the rooftops of the nearby buildings.
The kitchen is beautifully equipped, the dining space is wonderful and airy with garden and Campo San Boldo views.

Also nette Leute, super Wohnung mitten in Venedig, gute Anbindung, sehr familiär und ruhig.
Merci!
The apartment was even more beautiful than the pictures and ideally located. It was perfectly clean and spacious with everything we needed. We ate out everynight as there were so many good restaurants nearby but a supermarket is within a few minutes walk if needed.
Our stay was faultless and I would recommend anyone visiting Venice to stay here.
Spent 3 nights at Blue on Venice in August 2013. Apartment is exactly as described! You have absolutely no reason to hesitate to rent this place. Still can't believe how big it is! We were met by the owners who showed us around and were very helpful. They have a list of recommended restaurants and shops that was very appreciated. Prior to that, Francesca had already given us a lot of useful hints to help us plan our stay and get the most of our few days in Venice. We felt just like home!!! The apartment is an easy walk to all the major "attractions" in Venice (Piazza San Marco for example) and very quiet at the same time. You can see the gondolas pass by sometimes. All in all the perfect choice for any family that want to experience Venice without being confined to a hotel room ... and at an excellent price considering it is much more comfortable than any hotel. Thank you again Francesca and we hope to rent your apartment again in the future!!!
Spectacular, immaculate, carefully thought out are the first words that comes to mind when I think back about our stay in the Pasti's apartment. You can tell this is a work of love and Francesca's mother, Emmanuella is quite simply a fantastic gracious host. The house that the apartment is in is extremely well cared for, quiet, enjoyable and the garden is simply stunning (for being right in the middle of Venezia) and extremely relaxing.
Grazie Mille Francesca and Emmanuella! We will be back :)
This apartment is magnificent! If you want to live like a Venetian, stay in this Italian neighborhood of San Polo. You not only have old world charm in your apartment, but Francesca's mother, Signora Pasti is a delightful greeter who will sell you great wine from her family vineyard or give you the opportunity to play tennis on the only clay courts in Venice. The apartment is a quick walk from either the San Stae vaporetto stop or Campo San Giacoma where you will find a grocery store, a gelato shop, and a coffee/pastry shop. It was a great treat to stay in this beautiful home.
This review is for our stay at this apartment for 4 nights in May 2013. We were a party of 4, my husband and I, along with my parents.
Francesca was out of town during her stay, so her mother, Signora Pasti was our hostess. I was initially a little worried as Francesca had mentioned that her mom did not speak English, and we do not speak Italian. After having been their guest, I can say that I worried for nothing. Signora Pasti was as warm and welcoming as could be, and the international language of gestures worked very well. I do speak French, and many words between French and Italian have similar roots, so that helped. In addition, they had very clear instructions printed in English for things, so that helped too.
The first thing we noticed was how INCREDIBLY clean the apartment was. Seriously, we have stayed in many apartments over our travels, and while some are cleaner than others, this apartment was SPOTLESS. It was the cleanest apartment we have ever stayed in.
We were surprised to find that there was a welcome package of food (pasta, tomato sauce, coffee, tea, juice, water, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and cookies) left for us by our hostess. It was such a kind, unexpected gesture, and we appreciated it.
The hostess provides several guide books on Venice in the apartment and also a custom made binder full of information on the city along with recommendations for restaurants and shops.
The rooms are just as pictured on the air bnb website. But they look even better in real life!
For North Americans, you will most likely find, as we did, that the beds are very, very firm. However, I would feel wrong complaining about it. It is not a defect of the apartment, as firm beds are the norm in Italy. (It would like Italians complaining when coming to North America that our beds are too soft!). It is what it is. However, those with back issues may want to take note of it.
We arrived in Venice by train, and opted to walk to the apartment with our luggage. If we were doing it again we would take a water bus, as what should have been a 7-10 minute walk took us about 25 minutes. Unfortunately the maps were not very clear. If we did not have a gps on our ipad, we would have had to call the hostess as we got turned around several times.
In closing, I want to pass on that this is a lovely apartment, furnished with fabulous, very high quality (and in some cases antique) furniture. It is a great base to see the city of Venice at a competitive price. For a party of 4, it was perfect as there were 2 complete bathrooms (one with shower, one with bathtub).
Thank you to Francesca and her mother for being such fabulous hostesses. We enjoyed our time in your apartment.
This is an excellent apartment, great for two couples, or a family. It is very nicely decorated; spacious; quiet; private; and very well-appointed (laundry, a/c, wifi, good kitchen). It is spotlessly clean. We stayed for 3 days but wish it was for a month!
The location is excellent: 5 minutes from a vaparetto stop, and an easy walk to the main tourist sites. The best thing for me was the neighborhood it was located in. The real Venice: sufficiently removed from the touristy areas, with cool bars and cafes, excellent restaurants, and interesting squares within minutes of the apartment.
Francesca was excellent to deal with, providing helpful advice for arriving in Venice, suggesting excellent restaurant suggestions, making reservations for us. and scheduling an early morning water taxi for us. Her mother checked us in to the apartment, and was charming to deal with.
The only thing to be aware of is that there are some 38 stairs to climb to get to the apartment. This was not an issue for us, but may be something for others to consider.
When we return to Venice, we would not want to stay anywhere else.
This apartment and the warmth of the Pasti family will be with us truly for the rest of our lives. The positive reviews are true: this place is gorgeous, clean, elegant, and kindly stocked by Signora Pasti when you arrive. If you don't speak Italian, Francesca is an amazing resource for planning meals. If you do, her mother is so helpful and wonderful, and lives just downstairs. Neither woman is intrusive - only kind. The location - overlooking a quiet canal, steps from a piazza where the locals hang out and watch their kids play soccer after a school day, or drink cocktails - is utterly perfect. Signora Pasti not only provided a crib for our toddler, but she dressed it with the elegant, hand-embroidered linens her own children used. I mean... it doesn't get better. This place warmed our hearts.
