The Space

The apartment is very comfortable, located in a very central location and is easy to reach from the airport. The main services such as grocery stores, restaurants, banks, hospitals and pharmacies are within walking distance.

Apartment consists of large living room with kitchen, bathroom , bedroom and balcony. Beautifully decorated, hardwood floors throughout the house, is ideal for a romantic weekend for the whole family. Located in a strategic position and characteristic of ancient Trastevere district of Rome. The rent of the house includes the following services :
Towels and Bedding
hairdryer
washing machine
aircondition
Internet wifi
The kitchen is stocked with cookware , dishes , oven , microwave and coffee café with waffles. In addition cavoTV via satellite (Sky) with the possibility to watch movies in their original language or subtitled . Phone with the ability to receive external calls and make emergency calls .
Nearby, you'll find all the public services , such as restaurants , supermarkets, bars , post offices , banks, hospitals and pharmacies. Every Sunday in the streets of the neighborhood , there is Portaportese market , a market very similar to the famous Paris flea . A 10 -minute walk you can reach the Stazione Trastevere , Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere , the heart of Trastevere, Tiber Island , the Ponte Sisto and so on. . About a 20 minute walk you can reach the historic center Largo Argentina , Campo de Fiori, Piazza Farnese , etc. ... and yet Piazza Navona and the Pantheon.
We recommend Peppe House because it enjoys a strategic location , is secluded and quiet to those places in Trastevere which can be disturbed by the noise of the traffic and noises typical of Trastevere night !
The property is located where Peppe House began as a residence housing means it meets all those attentions aesthetic typical of the residence. For the pleasure of welcoming you offer a nice tribute to all the women who are on holiday in Peppe House!

  • Monica and Giuliano were fantastic hosts. We stayed 8 days here and were very happy with the accommodations. The apartment was spotless and as described in a very close proximity to major attractions. At one point the water went cold and Giuliano was there in no time to make the quick fix. We would definitely stay here again! Some key things to be aware of if you are new to international travel....we learned a bit late..

    1) - don't be afraid to look out a bit beyond your area. The old and really cool part of Trastevere is only a couple of blocks up on the left...fantastic dining and cool stuff to see.

    2) - Learn that bus and tram schedule. It is a very short ride to the major events and we walked back a few times. We could have saved a ton on cabs.

    3) - Never buy a sim card at the airport. There is a small shop up the street that sells sim cards with 1 GB of data for 10 Euro...very helpful as well.

    4) - The bar just in front of the apartment has great coffee, foods, and is very helpful...really convenient

    5) - Take tours...we did the Dark Rome evening walking tour and vatican...well worth the money.

    6) - Hit the old Jewish Getto...there are some pretty good restaurants there and the food is awesome.

    7) - Enjoy your time at Peppe House! It is in a great location and is a fantastic place to stay.

  • On the positive side, Peppe House was spacious, clean and well-stocked with tourist-friendly supplies (soaps, local maps, guidebooks, magazines, details on wifi etc.). The location was not quite what we had expected - we'd hoped to be in the atmospheric (quaint, cobbled streets) and historic heart of Trastavere, but it was only 15 - 20 mins' walk. Secondly it was a little challenging to arrange to meet up with Giuliano - we were left sitting around for 40 minutes, and the contact number given did not work. Finally, the hot water seemed not to be working during our stay.

  • Monica and Giuliano were very welcoming.Checkin and checkout were very easy. The flat was exactly as described, with a lovely balcony. Our hosts left everything that was needed for our stay : shampoo, towels, breakfast and coffee!:) All in all we would recomend the flat!

  • Monica and Giuliano were amazing! We stayed for 10 days in this gorgeous apartment and everything went perfectly. From the beginning I was met by their friend who kindly waited for us to find our way to the apartment from the train station (which is a short 10 minute walk away) and showed us around the apartment. The apartment itself was extremely comfortable and breezy. It had everything we needed and was centrally located. Monica and Giuliano kept in contact throughout our trip and made sure everything went smoothly for us even booking our taxi for us on our way out of Rome to the airport. I would highly recommend this apartment and would love to stay again the next time I am in Rome. Thanks again for everything!!

  • My friend and I stayed at Peppe House for a 3 day trip to Rome. We found the apartment really spacious, clean, with really great decor! It felt really homely and was a fantastic alternative to staying in a generic hotel. While booking the apartment, messages were replied to promptly by Monica and Giuliano which was really helpful. On the day of arrival Giuliano and a friend met us at the apartment to show us around and give us lots of information about transport and great places to eat and visit in Rome. We really appreciated this, especially as we arrived late owing to late trains! The apartment is in a fantastic location, very well connected to trams that take you into Rome center, but also in walking distance too. There's a lovely balcony to sit on and it was really well-equipped, covering all of our needs. It made for a fantastic stay and we would highly recommend Peppe House to anyone else wanting to visit bella Roma!

Thanks for everything Giuliano and Monica!

  • Giuliano is an excellent host. We lost one of our luggages on our way to Rome so he waited for us very patiently while we made our way to Trastevere from the airport. When we arrived at the Peppe House, we were given all kinds of information that would help us out with our Rome holiday. He gave us a map and and highlighted where to go, adding some of his local knowledge into the mix. He communicated with us over text messages very quickly when we had questions.

The Peppe House itself was just wonderful! Even though it is just 1 bedroom, it was very large and spacious. Very funky feel overall. Very clean. The place was setup much better than a hotel when it came to details. There were toothbrushes and other toiletries provided (helped due to lost luggage!), a Nespresso machine, some snacks, very good internet connection, and a whole lot of other stuff to be very comfortable. Place is very secure with at least 2 gates and a very secure door. It is in an apartment complex, which seemed much newer than the other buildings in the area.

Peppe House is on the opposite side of where all the restaurants are in Trastevere. If you are alone, it gets a little lonely walking home at night. Having said that, the area looked safe. It's a short 10min walk to the best food in town. Try lots of supplis and pizza!!

  • Staying at Peppe House was brilliant! We went on a city break with 5 girls and it was perfect for what we needed - just a base for us to stay at in between busy days of sightseeing. The house was cosey and homely and well equipped with towels and travel toothbrushes (in case you forgot)! There were 3 beds, so we had to share, but they were all really comfortable. Giuliano came and met us on the first day, and he was really friendly and told us some places we must visit. Trastevere was a lovely village with great bars and market stalls. We highly recommend Grazia and Graziella in the centre. Great holiday in general! Thank you!
