Area Appio-Latino, semi-central, next to beautiful Caffarella archeological Park (see pictures) and subway station (line A for city center), bars, nice restaurants (both luxury and cheap), stores, supermarkets and good public transport (20 min. from historical center, some sites within walking distance). Nice quiet street and safe neighborhood, people can walk at night safely. Gardens and nice parks with benches and cocketail bars. Apartment is very small but beautiful and modern, quiet, kitchen completely furnished, microwave, electric boiler, fridge, new dishes etc.. Most suitable for short term rent (1-7 days). Wi fi, hair dryer, dvd reader and tv, fan.
It is easy and fast to get to the historycal centre, (see feedbacks), in fact it is in one of the best, safest and most comfortable quarters of Rome.
I live nearby and I am often available if needed.
Guests will get all the maps, instructions for transport and visiting the histoycal center.
Restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shops very close
No lift, not suitable for disabled

Le check in reçu était parfait.
I had a nice and quiet 3 night stay at Barbara's "studio" rental during my time in Roma mid-November 2013. The outside of the building is under painting/renovation but this did not bother me at all during my time there. The location is not in the center of Roma but instead in the local outskirts which I prefer and yet is very convenient to get to the tourist destinations. Walking/metro took me about 30-45min to get to Vatican City and 20min to get to Roma Termini, costs €1.5 single metro ride. The best part of the location though is it is close to the farmers/open air market located near the Furio Camillo station where you can purchase clothing, household items, bread, mozzarella bufalo, yummy prosciutto, fresh pasta/ravioli, and liters of various local wines filled from vats for cheap (~€3/liter), Soo good! The place itself has all the essentials (small kitchen, plates/utensils, fridge, hairdryer, warm blankets), was tidy, has reliable working wifi (even for streaming radio), and is decorated in a nice homey way. As Barbara stated her place is meant for short stays because the bed is really a pullout sofa and not meant for long term sleeping. Barbara is prompt in responding to messages and she takes time to provide beneficial information about the surrounding area. She gives recommendations on places to eat, try and tells you where essential places are located (post office, bus stops, etc). If you are looking for a pleasant sleep location in Roma for a good price, look into renting with Barbara.
Barbara's cute apartment is tucked away in a leafy green suburb only 6 stops from the Termini station, on the A-line of the subway, a short walk from Furio Camillo station.
On arrival, Barbara provided a short guided walking tour so that I was familiarised with the local area which was very helpful. She also provided local and Rome city centre maps and suggestions on attractions and extra assistance on using the bus system which was closer than the subway.
Barbara was communicative and very responsive to my emails/phone calls etc.
The apartment is exactly as described in the profile and shown in the photos. Very comfortable for a single traveller. All amenities provided. The sofa bed was comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom had everything required.
There was still some unexpected scaffolding with works continuing on the building, however the windows could still be opened and it didn't cause me any concerns.
I recommend the local cafe L'angolo Bar for brekkie - €2 for coffee and a pastry, it's just around the corner from the apartment and the guys are lovely.
Thanks again Barbara!
This appartment is really nice to spend few days in Rome. It is really close to metro and bus (with a direct access to Colloseum). Barbara was very nice with us.
An apartment to recommend !
Barbara's apartment is fine. She is nice and provided maps and information about the city. The sleeping arrangement - while fine - is a somewhat small pull-out couch.
Noi ci torneremo ancora molto probabilmente! Grazie
Barbara was a wonderful host: very welcoming and eager to share information about her city. She made sure I knew what time to leave for the airport, and emailed me during my stay about events she thought I would enjoy. She was also very good natured about coming over to bring me new keys at midnight because I had broken one in the lock.
The apartment is well located and in a clean and safe building. It is very much as it appears in the photos.
There was unexpected construction on the exterior of the building when I was there, which meant I couldn't open windows, but it was over 30 every day and still tolerable with the fan.
The bed is a convertible sofa and best suited to shorter stays.
The outlets were slightly different than standard European ones, so my adapters only fit in the extension cord on the fridge.
Fair warning: the shower is a European tube, and the opening is small.
Those minor details aside, the apartment was well suited to one person. It gave me a great base from which to explore Rome on a budget.
