Double room ensuite, dining room and conservatory with a beautiful outlook in a peaceful setting, just a 2 minute stroll from Tain Pottery. Unwind and watch the antics of the garden birds and you may catch a glimpse of our friendly pine martin.

The space

Your bedroom has a king size bed with tea and coffee making plus an ensuite with shower.

Guest access

You have your own entrance and are welcome to make yourselves at home while relaxing in the conservatory which is exclusively for your use. Breakfast is served at time to suit you and there are a variety of local hotels and restaurants in Tain which is less than 10 minutes away.

Interaction with guests

If you wish information on local activities and attractions I will be able to assist, from golf at Royal Dornoch, to Tain through Time, Distilleries, beaches or walks in the surrounding area. Organised trips to view Dolphins in the Moray Firth, Portmahomack is just 9 miles away and retail therapy with a visit to Anta and Tain Pottery are an option.

Other things to note

To make getting to my cottage easy, please ignore the sat nav and follow directions to Tain Pottery. From the Nigg roundabout heading north, take the 3rd road on the left and drive up towards the Pottery, my cottage is fist on the left with a green garage. If coming from the north keep on the A9 past Asda and take the first road on the right, signposted Tain Pottery.

Fiona's place is beautiful and very comfortable. The little sun-room area was nice to use to just sit, read and relax. It's very convenient to areas around Tain and points north like the Clynedish distillery and the other cute villages along the way. She also had a great recommendation to check out the Crab Shack at the little castle hotel in Tain...great little pub there in a beautiful small castle! Fiona was great to take us on short-notice (day of reservation) and actually cooked breakfast for us the next morning. We would definitely stay here if ever in the area again.

Fiona is very welcoming and we had a lovely stay at her cottage. There is a very nice sunroom that guests are able to use to read and use the internet. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was fantastic. Thank you Fiona!

Fiona was adorable and helpful in every way. We got there a bit late and asked if we could wash some laundry, she said yes and was so kind about it. She made the mist wonderful breakfast, a full English breakfast. She had cookies, coffee, tea, and good smelling candles and soaps in the room and bathroom. The bed was to die for, it was so comfortable. The shower was fantastic because it was so large. So far it has been our favorite place we've stayed.

I am friendly and easy going and I enjoy living in the north east near the sea. Having been brought up on the west coast I am ready for all that the Scottish weather can throw at us while marvelling at the ever changing scenery and light in this part of the world. Golf skiing and gardening are my passions with family at the heart of it all.
