  • Very helpful hosts. Lovely apartment, although in need of some renovation. Definately on a noisy street, but that is what you get in a city. Wonderful area with lots to see, taste and do. My friend was traveling with her daughter so it was great for us to be able to not only have two bedrooms, but could also use the living room as an extra bedroom which gave all three of us privacy. Well-equipped little kitchen so we could make coffee in the morning and cook some meals.
All in all we had a wonderful time at Bastille and in this particular apartment. Thank you, Frédérique and friend Gabriela!!!

  • The apartment is quite old and modest but worked well for the 4 of us. It is on the 5th floor which makes for a nice deck view but is a trek every day. There is a small and very slow elevator if you don't feel like climbing it. There are 2 bedrooms that sleep 2 each and a small living space with a table and some chairs. The location is pretty close to Bastille station which we walked to almost every day and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Frederique is very sweet and although she was very busy and away on holiday most of our stay she still insisted on meeting us on our last night which was nice. She also scheduled a taxi for us to get to the airport which was helpful.

  • Want to stay and live in Paris like a local? Then stay at frederique's, you couldn't ask for more! Everything Paris and France has to offer is right outside the front door. When we c ome back to Paris next year I know where we'll be staying.

  • Our host Frederique was great. She took the time to tell us about good places close to the apartment and even helped us figure out how to see a doctor in Europe, which was amazing since we don't speak the language.
As for the apartment it is the true Parisian experience, so if your expecting a hotel experience you may need to adjust you expectations. The rooms are small and simple, but has 2 bedrooms and a toilet that is separate from the shower. The location is fantastic with lots of restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores nearby. There is also an open air market right down the street that is open everyday except Monday. It is close to a few metro stops as well as the happening area
of Bastille. Easy to get to everywhere in Paris within 20 minutes.

  • The apartment is in a good location, close to public transport, shops and bars. Only if you deserve apartment reconstruction ... Communication with Frederique is excellent. I recommend accommodation, but do not expect luxury ...

  • Hostess was extremely warm and attentive, responded quickly to e-mail and SMS. FIve stars for her.

Pro: great location (email hidden)ly, "real" part of Paris - that is, Parisians of all sorts live here and cafes nearby range from hip to local joints. It's a fabulously located corner apartment with wrap-around balcony on the 5th floor in a building with an elevator. Plenty of sleeping space. Kids loved blowing bubbles from the balcony! Canyon-like view of the streets from this perch in all directions.

Con: it's an old apartment cut into little rooms and a long narrow hallway. Not recently renovated, giving (email hidden)d-in ambience, in need of some care and paint. Owner smokes; as non-smokers with a baby, we felt we had to either leave windows open for air, or close windows for quiet.

Conclusion: great sleeping quarters / home base for a visit in the real, lively, Paris not yet overtaken by fashion; be aware it's a smoker-friendly place and not at all upscale.

  • I liked my stay very much! Everything was provided as stated on the offer, and the host was there at the scheduled time.
This apartment is perfectly situated in a very parisian neighbourhood full of life which you can enjoy from the view on the balcony. Outside the apartment there were lots of cafés and small stores and bakeries to get fresh food. We were able to cook at the apartment which was very convenient, as well as the metro station very close to the place. It was fully equipped, kitchen utensils, linen, towels, everything.
The apartment is great for 4 people.
    Would stay there again.

  • All was according our discussion. Standard is not too high, but Frédérique is very nice person and she organized all for the visit.
