Just a few minutes from the Bethesda Metro, on a shady residential street, you can find your room up one flight of stairs on the backside of the red brick colonial style building. Bethesda is just a 20 minute metro ride from the White House. A 10 minute walk from the apartment takes you to the heart of (website hidden), known throughout Washington DC for great restaurants and night clubs. We share the kitchen, bathroom and living room. Fresh Linens and towels are included. PARKING at the door. Zipcar members: 2 cars available at the building. Special pricing does not include breakfast.
Please take off your shoes in the house. I have a parakeet.
From the very first contact, Judy has been very nice. She did everything possible to make the stay pleasant and satisfactory for her guest.
Great experience, great journey, rated 5 stars.
Judy was very accommodating and helpful. My stay with a friend at a hotel afterwards was a serious letdown compared to staying at Judy's.
I had a wonderful stay at Judy's and wish to thank her for her hospitality, warmth, and generosity. She's a great person - very attentive to the needs of her guests, going the extra mile for me on more than one occasion. We also had a lot of really nice conversations which I enjoyed thoroughly. The location of her place is excellent, close to the Red Line on the Metro and all sorts of eateries and shopping places in Bethesda. The Red Line will take you to Dupont Circle in DC in 20 min. So though the place is technically in MD, it really does not feel like it at all.
Although I've actually stayed at Judy's for very few nights, I cannot say anything but the best of her and the room. Judy is an extremely nice person who'll help you settling well and getting acquainted to the city: she really has uncountable tips to share, and she'll be helpful in anything you may need!
The house is in a quiet and very green neighborhood less then 5 minutes walk from the subway station (it's about 15 mins to get to downtown DC), and the room is not too big but very comfortable! Highly recommended!
My stay at Judy's place was very pleasant! The apartment is nicely designed and cosy. It's also close to a metro station and restaurants. The room I stayed in was quite spacious with a place to hang your clothes and keep your suitcase. Judy is a charming person and can give you all the recommendations about Bethesda and DC.
My first stay with Airbnb was definitely an excellent experience!
Overall excellent experience staying with Judy for 1 week. Place was super clean, super close to the downtown and the Metro, and host Judy is super nice and got a heck of a life story. She was also really flexible with my weird messed up delayed flight schedule. Recommend you book here.
Judy is an absolute delight. She very friendly and has a great knowledge base of the area! Her apartment has a warm cozy welcoming feel. It is in the perfect location for those working at Walter Reed or surrounding areas and just a quick metro ride to the D.C area. The room is comfortable and quiet.
I moved to the DC area in the fall of 2008 from Los Angeles where I had lived for 10 years. Before moving to LA, I lived in Hamburg, Germany for 30 years, where my daughter was born and raised. I have hosted guests for many years from countries like Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Czech Rep., France, Martinique,Italy, India and the USA! I look forward sharing my home with you, too. I enjoy music, film and reading. I love Bethesda for its flair and DC for all of the great galleries, historical sites, theaters and museums.
