This is definitely the place I would recommend if you want to stay near D.C. The place is very clean and tidy, located in a safe and quiet neighborhood with a variety of restaurants. Very convenient location. Basically, you can get to the downtown in twenty minutes via the metro. And Judy is such an amazing host who can always give the best recommendation. We have no problem sharing the bathroom and kitchen. Thanks for your hospitality!

It was a marvelous stay! Judy was very nice and respectful. She is also very friendly (I noticed that some of her many friends are former Airbnb renters), suggesting a late dinner upon my arrival, and a lunch before my departure, for instance. She is also very helpful in giving a good advice, including of where to buy the best food or other things. At the same time, Judy is not at all intrusive. The room is big, the bed is extremely comfortable. The room is very quiet - good for studying/working. The flat is full of gadgets (Amazon's Alexa, sous vide etc.), which I learned to use. You can use the kitchen and a part of the fridge. The flat is close (3-4 minutes walk) to the metro and to the center of a wealthy and cozy DC suburb of Bethesda (e.g. a very nice French-style café is just 2 minutes from the house). DC center is around 15-25 minute on the metro. I'll definitely stay in Judy's place again if I ever happen to go to DC again. Thanks a lot, Judy!

Judy was a good host, friendly and ready to offer information when asked. She is also a seasoned traveler and has lived abroad. Her grandmother made a living taking in boarders, and she has hosted boarders for years, so this is in her blood. As the ad states, the place is within 2 blocks of the Bethesda Metro. Also, she works at home, so the place is well watched. She is also a thinking person. You can talk with her about ideas. I also have the impression that if you were just looking for a place to sleep and a kitchen, then she could also let you be.

Judy's place is absolutely the best in town! It's a home away from home. Quiet, convenient (4min walk from metro) and has everything you may need. Judy herself is a great host beyond words. I have to say, not every day you get to meet such an amazing person. Thank you for everything Judy! I'll make sure to come back!

Judy was a delightful host full of ideas and information to make my stay in DC better. She was uber helpful in recommending places to eat and even giving me an umbrella to use. Her house is lovely and welcoming, the bed comfortable and the location is ideal as it was just a 3 minute walk to the metro station. Being that close to all the amenities and in a safe neighbourhood meant my stay was restful.

My host was excellent, I arrived quite late and was very hungry, she quickly whipped me up a few eggs and toast which was greatly appreciated. I felt welcome at all times while at the same time enjoying the privacy which is sometimes needed after a busy day. The location couldn't have been better for my needs. Very close to the metro station, which for me was essential. I would highly recommend Judy's Airbnb, and will certainly stay with her again when I return to DC.

I moved to the DC area in the fall of 2008 from Los Angeles where I had lived for 10 years. Before moving to LA, I lived in Hamburg, Germany for 30 years, where my daughter was born and raised. I have hosted guests for many years from countries like Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Czech Rep., France, Martinique,Italy, India and the USA! I look forward sharing my home with you, too. I enjoy travel, music, films and reading. I love Bethesda for its flair and DC for all of the great galleries, historical sites, theaters and museums. I believe in being part of the world you want to live in. I am also a home based travel agent, working from my living room. You'll find me on the computer all the time researching a new travel destination for my clients and wishing I was going, too!
