Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Upside - location was perfect & it was much appreciated for organising parking.
Downside - apartment was a bit dirty & musty, sofa not comfortable & not really big enough for 6 people.
We enjoyed La Spezia & especially La Cinque Terre

  • The apartment was easy to find and is located VERY centrally in La Spezia (5 minutes to the tour boat landing and 5 minutes to the train station). The apartment was clean and everything functioned well. Davide and his father were very helpful, friendly, and explained everything well. They even have a free parking place about 300 meters away and will drive you back to the apartment. We did not take advantage of the boat ride offer, but it sounds nice.

  • Apartment location and description were accurate. Apartment was clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable and overall the stay was nice. However, connecting with the owner's representative to get into the apartment was a challenge and frustrating. We sent the owner an email the day before we arrived (using AirBnB channels), giving him our train arrival time, etc. However, no one was at the house when my husband and our friend got there. So, we tried calling using the number we were provided. We got someone else in Rome. It took an hour for us to get into the apartment. Not fun. My only recommendation is that Davide improve the process for checking into the apartment.

    Response from Davide:

Hi Nell, I am very happy that you like the apartment, thank you!
Then I am sorry for the check in trouble due to an unlucky circumstance: your husband didn't call by his way to the apartment, as I kindly required on my written instruction, but by the apartment only. So the reason of 15 waiting (the one that was in Rome was a representative of mine also, but this was not a big deal as we are all connected).
Thanks for the good condition that you left the apartment also! Perfect guest.

  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful 2 night stay in Davide's apartment. What a cozy place to stay, apartment was very clean and beds were comfy. It's location within la spezia is what's truly wonderful about it. I recommended going with this host and taking advantage of his cozy apartment! Cheers.

  • We enjoyed our stay in La Spezia, using this place as the jumping off point to see the Cinque Terre National Park. It is only a 10-15 minute walk down the main shopping street from the train station to get to this villa. The apartment is up a few flights of stairs, but if you're there to hike the Cinque Terre, it's just a warm up! The beds were very comfortable, and the accomodations had everything we needed for two days. There is a nice grocery store a couple of blocks away, and lots of restaurants along the way to this flat. Davide was very patient with us because we were not exactly sure of our arrival time, and we appreciated that. The Wi-fi also worked well. The street got a little bit noisy at night on Thursday night, but the windows are very solid, and when they were closed you could hardly hear a thing. Highly recommend staying here!

  • Sketchy building, but the inside was awesome. Me and 5 of my friends all managed to squeeze in and had the time of our lives in Cinque Terre. We were disapointed to miss out on the boat ride, but we didn't have the time.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a spot to stay to see the 5 lands!

  • The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped and clean, very good location (near the old town and the harbor), contact with Davide perfect. I recommend!

  • Davide's apartment was a fantastic venue for us. Not only is it very safe, clean, modern, and wifi-equipped, it is also convenient, located near the train station to go to Cinque Terre. It is also mere steps away from many shops.

Davide was a great host, providing us with a plethora of information regarding the city as well as guiding us to a place where we could park our car for free.

I would recommend his place to anyone who plans to visit Cinque Terre/La Spezia and would surely stay there again if the opportunity emerges.

  • Apartment was very clean and matched the description and photos exactly. Davide's Dad met us and checked us in without any issues. Davide followed up with a message later to check everything is ok. Communication was easy and fast with Davide both during and leading up to our stay. Apartment in a main and safe area of La Spezia. The only downfall was that there were no lifts and it was an exhausting climb up to the 4th floor with our luggage, but so far most of our experiences has been similar throughout Europe. Recommended for couples, friends and families.

    Response from Davide:

Hi Kate, really thanks for your good review! Just let me reassure next guests about the floor, as the apartment is at 2nd (+ 1 stair/half floor), not at 4th (that would be very scary! ;)
    Thanks again for your stay!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Davide's place. It's in an excellent location and has all you need close by. The train station is within walking distance for an easy visit to Cinque Terre. Plenty of restaurants, cafe's, and bars in the area. The kitchen is well outfitted and perfect for having some meals at home. The linens and towels are are clean and plentiful.

Davide was great at communicating. We didn't get to meet him, but he was readily available by phone for our arrival. Although the washing machine was broken, he offered to have his father take our laundry to get it done.

We would stay here again for sure.

I am an actor into architecture, design, art, vintage and...pets most of all. I have never liked "total Ikea" and "grandmother's apartment" that so often I see on holiday apartments market. I would like like to offer something different to my guests; some of my apartments are basic and easy, some other are quite luxurious, but all of them have an own personality, that probably cannot be found in a common hotel. I really would like to have respectful guests, easy going, smart enough to understand that comunication and flexibility are important in our relationship and that perfection in everything can be found at Hilton (maybe) ;) In any case, even if you will stay somewhere else, enjoy Rome and don't forget to visit some other wonderful place in Italy!
