Davide's place was great and only about a 7-10 minute walk from the train station. The street it is located on is a main walking area and has many shops and restaurant. Davide's father checked us in who was very nice. There was information about nearby restaurants and attractions. Overall a great place to stay.
The apartment was really small but it was nice and with really good location, the only problem we had it was with Davide, he is not a good host, we needed help to find the place and he wasn't willing to give it, then his dad was the one that had to be there for us. After we left he was so upset that I told him he needed to be a good host, that he charged us 20 EUR for 5 dirty dishes
Hi Nubia, I am sorry that we had not a good relation, despite the good one I had with previous hundreds of guests. I suppose that is due to the fact that, once left the apartment in bad conditions I notified you that all what was not very correct on your side:
- let my father wait 30 minutes into the apartment while you was in a bar at 200 meters by the apartment, while of course the meeting was specified at the apartment (I continue to don't understand which is the problem if my father and not me was there)
- Claiming about the elevator absence and the apartment dimension, requiring another apartment, while both aspects were advertised
- Leaving the apartment in bad conditions, especially with rest of food on the table and dirty dishes (not 5), despite that it's forbidden the rules advertised.
All these together made me not tolerant as usual about the disrespect of the last rule. Truly your behave didn't help me to be flexible as I use to be
As a long term Airbnb members I suggest you to better read the listings before book a place, rules included. This would avoid a bad experience for the host (and I suppose for you too)
Great appartment, we loved it! Very well located in the center, next to all facilities, very clean and well equiped.
There is a note with all information needed and some suggestions, very helpfull
We definitely recommand it!
Davide speaks very good english and was very helpful when we had a need. The apartment is very centrally located within walking distance of everything you could need. La Sepzia was a bit more urban then we expected but everything we could need for aour trip up to Cinque Terre was there. Will absolutely visit again.
The appartement is exactely as described/pictured. It's located between train station (10min) and marina, ideal place to visit 5 Terre. Davide has answered all the question.
The place is amazing! Nice and cosy + very well equipped, so you'll find there everything you need (including hair dryer, iron, moka pot etc.). Apartment is located on main street of La Spezia (close to train station). So, if you want to feel unique atmosphere of Italy, you'll definitely love it! Plus, it's a perfect base if you want to visit Cinque Terre (about 15 minutes by train).
Davide is a great person, very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much, I wish we could stay there forever ;-)
I highly recommend both the place and the host!

About the Host, Davide & Francesco
Hey It's Davide, an italian entrepreneur, ex actor, into architecture, design, art, vintage and...animal most of all. My 2 dogs are the children I don't have. I have never liked "total Ikea" and "grandmother's apartment" that so often I see on holiday apartments market. I would like like to offer something different to my guests; some of my apartments are basic and easy, some other are much luxurious, but all of them have an own personality, that probably cannot be found in a common hotel.
Francesco is my cousin and I saw him born and grow up! He likes art, design and vintage forniture too. He is into sport also at professional level also. He is much clever then me in practical manual job, so he helps me keeping the apartments in order and welcoming the guests when I can't do that.
I expect to host respectful guests, easy going, smart enough to understand that communication and flexibility are important renting a private apartment: as traveller I know that each unit necessary has defects also other then strengths, and that the total perfection can be found at Hilton (maybe) ;)
So, I hope to host you and being in touch before, during and after your stay. If you will stay somewhere else, enjoy Rome and don't forget to visit some other wonderful place in Italy!
