  • Gary and Debbie's apartment is exactly as described: very cozy, comfortable, clean and it has everything you need, even for a long stay.

It's located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood and it's really easy to get around town via bus and skytrain which are basically located 5 minutes away. It only takes you four stations and 10-15 minutes to Downtown. The neighbourhood area also provides many nice coffee shops and restaurants.

Gary and Debbie are perfect host, very friendly and helpful, giving us some really good advice about the local area and Vancouver. They welcomed us with a personalised guide and fresh baked goods! Throughout our stay, they always made sure we were enjoying our stay and even invited us to a nice evening in their house.

We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great time in Vancouver. Thanks to Gary and Debbie and their lovely suite we felt at home away from home.

  • The suite is warm, clean and well-lit with a comfortable bed, ensuite shower/toilet, laundry facilities and well-equipped kitchenette. The hosts are usually in and easily contactable for any queries. I would stay here again if visiting Vancouver.

  • We had a great stay at Gary and Debbie's suite. It is very cosy and lovely, it was very tidy and clean. They were very welcoming and friendly, which is good when you are in a new place. The bed was very comfy which was much needed after a plane journey. It is centrally located, only few mins from the subway which takes you straight up to downtown in no time and not much cost or down to the airport. But there are shops and restaurants near by too. We highly recommend this as a place to stay in Vancouver!

  • Gary & Debbie's apartment is comfortable, luxurious and they have clearly spent a lot of time thinking about what their guests would appreciate when staying away from home - little touches like some local bakery pastries on arrival and the chocolate I didn't notice till day 3! The accommodation is well situated for easy access to Downtown and the major tourist attractions and is such an easy commute from YVR, just a few stops on the Canada line and then 5 mins walk even with bags. We particularly liked the fact that the local area was well populated with coffee shop/bakeries, restaurants and browsing type shops which meant we could take advantage of some slightly lower prices than eating in say, Granville Island. Gary & Debbie were great hosts, offered use of their garden space which we took them up on and were flexible on arrival and departure times to suit our flights, something you just don't really getin hotels. highly recommend this apartment and these hosts.

  • Gary and Debbie's room is well-furnished, comfortable, attractive. Gary and Debbie are excellent hosts, and obviously experienced and efficient managers of the airbnb process. The room is well located in terms of access to public transport and local shops. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the room as a place to stay in Vancouver.

  • Just excellent would sum up our opinion on Gary and Debbie suite. From the minute we contacted them they where a delight, ever so helpful and kind. The minute you step inside the suite your hit with such great hospitality, they had kindly left baked goods, which where a welcome delight to our hungry tummies. The suite itself was like a home away from home it had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was very well equipped so we could cook while we stayed. The complimentary tea and coffee where great also. We found it very comfortable and clean. Gary was a great help with directions and suggesting places to visit, it was conveniently located at king Edward station, minutes to downtown. We couldn't say enough about Gary and Debbie suite it was just wonderful. We would highly recommend it :)

  • If you're looking for the perfect place for two to explore Vancouver, this is IT! Gary and Debbie provide a clean, cozy & very nicely appointed suite that's located in a quiet residential area, yet just a short walk to the subway to connect to the city centre. This was our first trip to Vancouver and they provided information to help us make the most of our two days there. After trekking around the city for an entire day it was wonderful to come back to this cozy suite and relax! Not only would we highly recommend a stay here, but we hope to be back ourselves again. Thank you Gary and Debbie - your efforts to make this little apartment so inviting are truly appreciated.

  • We were given a really warm welcome by Gary and Debbie, who were incredibly helpful when we needed any advice or information. The suite is lovely and a great base to explore Vancouver. It's also in a really good location, just a short walk from the Sky Train station. Highly recommended.

  • Gary and Debbie were very friendly and great hosts and there basement apartment had everything you could need. Their home is situated in a great place close to the sky train and also close to a neat neighbourhood with lots of great places to grab a bite to eat, coffee or a pint.
The suite was a great place to have a very restful sleep after long treks around the city and into the mountains. I especially appreciated all the helpful tips Gary provided in person and in a pamphlet that helped me navigate the city and find everything I needed.

We love travelling ourselves! We are members of the Vancouver Board of Trade and have both served on the Board of Directors of the Sales and Marketing Executives International in Vancouver. Gardening and long walks around Vancouver are our favorite past times. We also enjoy cooking, fine wines and Belgium beer! Our travels have taken us to Europe several times and we enjoy sharing our experiences. We built our rental suite anticipating a need for people visiting patients in the nearby long-stay hospital, but we quickly found that it was in demand by vacationers and business people because of our central location.
