Located in Norhcote, this two storey, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury townhouse, is the perfect place to base yourself at while your explore the streets of Melbourne.
The townhouse features a large entertaining balcony, with 6 burner BBQ and private courtyard. There are also two swish bathrooms, and all modern cons including - designer kitchen, blanco appliances, video intercom, central heating, air conditioning, fully lock up garage with remote access, unlimited super fast wifi and more....
About Your Accommodation
Available for rent is the entire top floor of the townhouse, providing complete privacy for your group. This is perfect for couples or a small family.
You are renting a luxury self contained apartment with:
Large master bedroom and bathroom with large windows, modern furnishings and built in robes.
All linen and towels including 1000 thread count sheets
Bathroom features shower and tub, with toiletries
Living space, including dining facilities, huge sofa, luxury furnishings
Full use of kitchen - large fridge, all you will need for your stay including condiments and cooking items
Entertaining balcony with 6 burner BBQ and deck chairs
Large smart internet tv, unlimited wireless internet
A bookcase of books and magazines
A third person can be accommodated on the king single sized sofa bed.
A garage with secure wireless entry and bike hire can also be arranged on request.
I live downstairs in the townhouse, with my ginger dog - I have my own rooms downstairs, with outdoor space and bathroom. I'm mid thirties, work full time, and busy socialising or exercising evenings and weekends.
When you rent the entire top floor we share only the front door and laundry - everything else is private. I am always on hand to help with anything you may need though.
Basic provisions (salt, pepper, oils, spices, spreads) are all included, and tourist information such as maps and locals guides can be provided on request.
Smart internet TV, blue ray player, surround sound and full use of european laundry, heating and split system air conditioning are all available for your use.
Your accommodation is located just a short 12 minute ride to the city, with train outside the door, or a 30 second walk to buzzing high street.
Northcote has an abundance of funky cafe's bars, and boutiques. Northcote Social Club is also just five minutes down the road., Brunswick street is a ten minute tram ride away.

Please note that there is a one off cleaning fee of $60 per stay. I can also schedule cleans for you at the same rates at any frequency you want.
Please also check the location map, like much of Melbourne, the property is located close to a train line. It is very well soundproofed and trains run approximately 7am - 11.30pm - shorter hours on weekends. No complaints from guests about this yet.
If you would like anything arranged for you, no request is too large or small - just ask!
Airbnb Users Beware:
This host canceled a booking for international visitors a few hours AFTER
the agreed upon check in time, because she 'didn't want to deal with it'.
They were left with all of their suitcases and no-where to go in 40 degree
heat when the security pin-code, provided by the host, did not work. They
had to leave their suitcases and catch a tram into the CBD where the host
worked, to pick up a key (as instructed by host). 20 minutes later, when
the guests were on a tram half way to the city, Airbnb called me to say the
booking has been cancelled by the host and that they are not to enter the
I was left with international guests with nowhere to stay on a Friday
night, confused and in tears from the way Rachel spoke to them on the
phone. It was a horrible experience for all of us and the host was stern
and unapologetic to say the very least.
Obviously, this kind of behaviour is entirely out of Airbnb's control but I
do feel that future guests should be warned.
I've only ever had good experiences on Airbnb before this and feel that I
should also mention how helpful and friendly the Airbnb staff were when
helping us find alternative accommodation (thanks again).
As a committed, enthusiastic and passionate host who has created great
experiences for many people, as you can see from my reviews, I am very
disappointed to read Kylie's comments.
Kylie was not actually a guest of mine. She made a booking, on behalf of
other guests, which is actually against the airbnb policy.
I let Kylie know I would not be at the property to meet the guests, and
told her my key safe combination. Kylie was happy with this arrangement at
the time. This has been used successfully by many guests before (see
comments in previous reviews) and is used regularly by my cleaner. I tested
the safe, as I always do before leaving for work.
I received a call in the early afternoon, from a woman that was not Kylie,
who I did not know and had never spoken to, stating that she was my guest
and could not open the safe.
I can only imagine, as this has never been an issue in the past, that
either Kylie had not passed on the correct combination, or the guest had
accidentally shifted the combination to the locked position.
I was at work but said that if the guest could catch the train (12 minutes)
to my work I would be happy to provide another key, and that she could come
anytime until 5.00pm. I was polite and friendly and offered a solution. The
guest said she would speak to her husband and let me know. I told her that
if she wanted, I was happy to call airbnb and see if she could be
The guest advised as I was leaving work she would like to come to collect a
key, however at this stage I had enquired with airbnb as to relocation of
the guest, since I was uncomfortable that I didn't know who the guests were
(not being Kylie who made the booking) and I thought it would be the best
outcome in the circumstance for all concerned. Airbnb were as ever
professional and said they would arrange alternative accommodation for the
guest, at a penalty to myself, which I accepted for the inconvenience
caused to the guest.
I can understand that the experience was not as the guest hoped, however I:
- left a key in an accessible, tried and tested location as arranged
- offered an alternative key collection means when the guest was unable
effectively use the key safe
- spoke with airbnb and requested assistance for the guest,
- accepted the penalty to myself for the guests inconvenience
- was reasonable in offering options despite the guest being
(understandably) upset and frustrated and very abrasive and rude to me on
the phone although I was trying to help
I am a friendly host, always polite, I try very hard to work out solutions
on the few occasions things do not go as planned. I have learned from this
experience in that you should never rent to a guest you have never spoken
to or who books via a third party. Kylie has left a review despite never
having actually spoken to me in person or on the phone, and with no first
hand knowledge of the situation because she was not the guest.
I hope that future guests will look at my many positive reviews, for this
and my other listings, and will see that I am a reliable and great host,
rather than be swayed by the view of someone who actually had no first hand
experience of the situation.

Great place to stay! So lovely and sunny, clean but at the same time "homely".
Incredibly convenient, I was in Melbourne for a gig at the Wesley Anne in the centre of Northcotes super up and coming scene and it literally took me 10 mins to walk there, 5 mins to the station.
The trains are almost like a free philosophy lesson.. Maybe that's just me :P

Rachel's apartment is very well located and comfortable despite the cold November Melbourne weather. We enjoyed our stay as the location was excellent for our circumstances. Northcote's High street is well worth a stroll and a meal or two.
Rachel was fantastic to deal with when I book her apartment for my tenants while my property was being renovated. She was very quick to respond and assisted with every question I had in a friendly manner. My tenants enjoyed their stay there.

Had a great, easy stay with Rachel in Northcote. The apartment was well appointed and in a great location. Meeting Rachel was lovely and I suspect if we'd stayed a little longer her knowledge of the area would have been invaluable! As it was the list of local attractions left in our apartment contained a great recommendation for breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.

Rachel's apartment is convenient located near great cafes, bars and public transport. It is warm and inviting space and my girlfriend and I had such an enjoyable stay.
