About this listing
Enjoy your New York experience while staying at this brand new, cozy, very homy apartment. It is literally located in the heart of NYC, in Greenpoint Brooklyn. Its strategic location allows you to connect to all 5 boros within minutes. You will find the G train (subway line) just a block away from the apt, which connects you to either Uptown Manhattan and Queens, or to Downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn. You will also enjoy the gorgeous view of the New York skyline by the East River which is located a block and a half away from the apt. There you will be able to just sit and relax on a bench at the pier while enjoying the view, or you can take the Water Taxi (from that very pier) to cross directly to 34th street Midtown Manhattan, or to Downtown manhattan within minutes.
The neighborhood is very nice and safe, it reflects the typical NY home style that you see in movies. excellent restaurants surround the apt, as well as great supermarkets, delis/ groceries open 24/7, and all major banks (Citibank, Bank of America, HSBC bank, Chase bank, and more). There is a laundromat right in the building of the apt. The famous McCarren Park is in the neighborhood at a 15 minutes walking distance.
Did i mention that the apt is on the 1st floor of a secured bulding? therefore you won't have to carry your luggages for too long.
The apartment is large and is great for for singles, couples, students and whole families. Skan made it easy to get and return the keys, so that was hassle free. The apartment was great, just as pictured. First floor can't be beat, and having the place all to ourselves made it very special.
We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to New York. Thanks Skan!
Fabulous, spacious and clean apartment in the heart of Greenpoint, very close to the subway and the ferry which will take you straight to Manhattan (why do you want to, really?). There are a bunch of Delis in the area, great cafes, small shops and a bar/concert venue called St Vitus (if you are into rock music). Also, one of NYCs best record stores, Academy records, is located just few blocks away. Skan is a great host always replying instantly through email and/or text messages. Highly resommended.
Skan's place was exactly as described and Skan was super easy to communicate with, highly recommended!!
Skan's apartment was perfect for my stay in New York! Its located on a pleasant and quiet street while being close to everything you need - public transport, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, a deli and just a few blocks away from Transmitter Park which has an awesome view of Manhattan! The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfy, and I felt safe as a solo female traveler. Skan was a great host, very friendly and easy to communicate with.
Skan was very welcoming and the listing was in no way misleading. I mean, It’s Greenpoint. It’s safe and quiet. The key pick up and drop off was pretty simple. I never met Skan, but he told me to get the key at a near by deli, and the clerk gave me the key with the drop of a name, and I gave it right back upon checkout. If you’re visiting friends/family in the area, this is a pretty good place to stay.
Skan's place was perfect for us. It's exactly as pictured (very nicely decorated) and everything was neat and clean. The location was great. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and it always seemed safe when we were out and about. It was an easy walk to the Metro, restaurants, and shops.
About the Host, Skan
I've lived in Greenpint Brooklyn NY for the past 13 years, it's definitely changed towards the psitive dramatically, not that it was ever bad. I am an athletic person who loves to play sports, basket ball in particualr, and on the professinal side i distribute pharmaceutical products, vitamins to be exact. I love to meet people from all over the world, and NY never failed me on that side, it's a city filled with peopel from all walks of life. Getting to know my guests will only better me as a person and enrich my knowledge about life ;)
