Apartment - Entire home/apt · Franklin St, Brooklyn, NY 11222, United States

The Space

Enjoy your New York experience while staying at this brand new, cozy, very homy apartment. It is literally located in the heart of NYC, in Greenpoint Brooklyn. Its strategic location allows you to connect to all 5 boros within minutes. You will find the G train (subway line) just a block away from the apt, which connects you to either Uptown Manhattan and Queens, or to Downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn. You will also enjoy the gorgeous view of the New York skyline by the East River which is located a block and a half away from the apt. There you will be able to just sit and relax on a bench at the pier while enjoying the view, or you can take the Water Taxi (from that very pier) to cross directly to 34th street Midtown Manhattan, or to Downtown manhattan within minutes.
The neighborhood is very nice and safe, it reflects the typical NY home style that you see in movies. excellent restaurants surround the apt, as well as great supermarkets, delis/ groceries open 24/7, and all major banks (Citibank, Bank of America, HSBC bank, Chase bank, and more). There is a laundromat right in the building of the apt. The famous McCarren Park is in the neighborhood at a 15 minutes walking distance.
Did i mention that the apt is on the 1st floor of a secured bulding? therefore you won't have to carry your luggages for too long.
The apartment is large and is great for for singles, couples, students and whole families. It is equipped with a big kitchen/ dining room, from which you can freely use all dishes, frying pans..etc., a beautiful private bathroom with bricks all over, and a private bedroom with a super comfortable Queen bed. Check In
  • These accommodations are roomy and inviting. The queen-size bed is very comfortable. There are only a few steps from street level to the apartment, making it easily accessible and handy for us "older" folks hauling suitcases with us. Having a subway stop only a block away is a plus. There is a restaurant on the corner that serves meals all day, and we found the food to be tasty and the servers friendly and efficient. We also enjoyed the bar and the wine room directly across the street from the apartment. Our son and his spouse live in the neighborhood, and we walked with them to many of the little shops and eating establishments in Greenpoint. We always felt safe being out and about at any time of day or evening. This was our second stay at Skan's place. We'll most likely stay there again if it is available. We have not met him face-to-face, but he is good at communicating by phone and email.

  • Great place, great professional host, highly recommended. Used the provided air mattress for two dudes sleeping out in the kitchen and living room, then me and the girlfriend slept on the great (tempurpedic?) queen mattress in bedroom. Good closet place, very sharp, all 4 of the group really liked it.

Could sleep 3 in living room / kitchen area easily provided everyone are friends (a leather couch, a chair that folds flat, and air mattress).

  • Skan was a very gracious host. We needed a place to stay in Greenpoint over the holiday season, but only for a short term. Skan understood our family situation and made his apartment available to us even through he could have rented it for a longer period to someone else. He met us at the apartment, even though we were running late after a long day of driving, and also made it easy to return the key when we left.
The apartment is ideally situated in Greenpoint, and was clean and comfortable. It is also easy to access if that is a concern, as it has only a short stairway up from the ground level.
This is a place I would definitely return to when next visiting Brooklyn.

  • My husband and I live in Greenpoint and booked Skan's apt for my mother to stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The location was great- just a few blocks from us. My Mom enjoyed the apartment very much. It was a good size, very clean and she was able to cook in the kitchen. The shower was spacious and the bed was super comfortable! We would definitely book with Skan again.

  • Skan was an excellent host. The place was lovely, clean and fully equipped with everything a guest needs to be comfortable while out of town. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Staying in Skan's place was overall a good experience. The place is conveniently located in Greenpoint, close to everything. In our case it is 2 blocks from where our daughter lives so that was a big plus. By Brooklyn area standards it is roomy and well equipped and sufficiently clean. When we checked in there was trash and soiled towels, etc. from the previous occupant which Skan assured us was not normal, just an oversight. We believe him and will consider booking again in the future.

  • Skan's apartment was exactly as advertised. It was a great place to stay for the NY marathon, with easy access to the subway and a great neighborhood (Greenpoint) to use as a "home base." I would happily stay there again the next time I visit New York.

  • The apartment was very good, everything exactly as in the photos. Awesome neighborhood. All logistics handled well and promptly; Skan was very nice and flexible.

    October 2013
  • The apartment was nice... not very large (maybe for Brooklyn?) but nice and very well located... love that neighborhood in Brooklyn. The host was great at communicating everything and all went well.

  • Very cute! Loved greenpoint!

I've lived in Greenpint Brooklyn NY for the past 13 years, it's definitely changed towards the psitive dramatically, not that it was ever bad. I am an athletic person who loves to play sports, basket ball in particualr, and on the professinal side i distribute pharmaceutical products, vitamins to be exact. I love to meet people from all over the world, and NY never failed me on that side, it's a city filled with peopel from all walks of life. Getting to know my guests will only better me as a person and enrich my knowledge about life ;)
